Can I control your spindle speed using UGS G-code sender that Millright tailored. I do have 4'th axis capability I haven't used yet. Just started to look at the software you suggested.
@@greatwhitewing yes, our vfd can be controlled via Modbus or PWM. Most controllers offer PWM which is the way I control it on my Mega-V1
How well will these work if I only have GFCI Outlets In My Garage?? I purchased an S 5 Pro 4x4 a little over a year ago & have been wanting to upgrade to a spindle, but on Carbide 3D website it says (theirs) don’t work well in GFCI Outlets!! ** And yes I only mean the 65mm VFD 110V ** Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Unfortunately, you will need a non GFCI outlet to power your VFD. We recommend a 5-20R 20amp 110v plug using 12-gauge wire or larger on a dedicated circuit.
I got this file from thigiverse and bought all the parts needed but The brush rail is waaaay to skinny there is no way a mcmaster carr brush is going in there..what happened to the file ? from the looks of the video you are using the same brush I used but I think there must be a scaling problem with the file or something. I was able to get magnets installed after reaming the holes a bit with a drill but but no luck with that brush rail..also it looks way too shallow.its a pity because I really like the looks of this dust shoe
We realize that everyone's 3D printers are somewhat different and recommend, if your print is coming out too small, to scale up the file by 1 - 2%.
@@PwnCNC yeah im using the bambu x-1c pretty good printer...no worries the dust boot turned out not to be suitable for other reasons as well.ty
@@PwnCNC may I ask what is with your proprietary hose connections? that seems really strange doesn't seem to attach well either ,seems like you would get a better friction fit with just regular round hoses?
I dont mean to be picky or judgmental i see you do good work and contribute to the CNC community ..just thought I may give some food for thought..
@@lpa74 there were physical limitations with the CNC machine they were originally designed for. The design carried forward into other boot designs due to the amount of work put into all of our designs. We did switch to round adapters with our MagLock collection. We even have a squared circle to MagLock adapter.
I must have missed a step somewhere. I plug the 6-pin connector into the slot labeled "PWN" on the VFD box, and where does the other end go?
Hi Daniel,Your video is great except you don't say what size screws you are using especially if your using the spacer for the air cooled spindle on the collar.Need Help.
Can this be controlled in software with an arduino uno using GRBL?
Absolutely. Our VFD can accept a control signal via PWM which is a 0-5v or 0-10v signal output by nearly every CNC controller we've come across...as well as Modbus or RS485 control which a small percentage of controllers we've played with offer. I've personally run our VFD from the Arduino based Mill Right Mega-V1 controller as well as CNC4Newbies Arduino controller canned the Demon controller without issue.

What spindle you using? The OneFinity says not included, but finding an ATC one...?
We're using a PwnCNC Spindle System here (pwncnc.com/products/spindle). We also have ATC Systems available that work great with the Onefinity machine. Key is to order your Onefinity with the 80mm mount instead of their 65mm mount. You can always shim the 80 down to 65mm to temporarily run a Makita palm router if necessary. We've worked closely with Onefinity to ensure our Spindle and ATC Systems are plug-n-play capable.
Does this work with Genmitsu 6050 Pro?
Would this preclude mounting a laser control module on the back of Masso?
Nope, we worked closely with JTech to ensure there was an updated laser module mount available: jtechphotonics.com/?product=onefinity-elite-pwncnc-inlets-panel-driver-mount
I watch ALOT of your videos, i love PwnCnc and the onefinity elite masso, i live in the UK 🇬🇧 please tell me you sell and ship to england??? 🙏🏻🥺

Hi can I buy the spindle kit the you are demonstrating?
Absolutely... pwncnc.com/products/spindle You can also upgrade from that to our ATC setup... pwncnc.com/products/atc
Can I use the camera mount you got on there with my Shapoko 5 pro with a 65mm vfd spindle install?
Hi I’m in Australia and required 240v power unit and would air cool good enough for the hobbyist?
Spindles and VFD's are not making our small CNC journeys a whole lot easier. Even Sienci Labs admits the complications they present after many months of hands on research. Super if you're financially retired and/or a full time hobbiest but if you're blowing and going in a money making wood shop who has time to stop time and become a VFD g-code guru?
This is exactly the reason why you should buy from a company like us. We ARE the experts at our products. You don't need to know a single thing about the VFD to get started with our fully plug-n-play system. We continue to research and enhance the knowledge our products so you don't have to. In this video we've unlocked a few programming settings which adds automatic forward triggering functionality to the VFD. Need help implementing it in our Spindle System you already own? Reach out to us at support@pwncnc.com and we'll gladly help you including jumping on a call to walk you through it. All newly sold Spindle and ATC Systems will come with these VFD settings already configured.
Im trying to figure out how to hide the watercool lines
There are several ways... but greatly depends on the CNC machine you own. If it's a Onefinity Elite, we don't currently offer a larger cable chain replacement option, however there are a few on the market iirr.
Got my cable in and replaced this weekend. Works great! Previously my RPM was 10%+/- what gSender showed and now it's at most 10RPM +/- Nice job getting it worked out. I'm fine connecting inside the controller with the phoenix connector but if you wanted to go with the crimped on rj11?
Why are new bolts needed for the brackets?
The brackets are 5mm thick and we wanted the bolts to extend into the enclosure the same distance. The stock bolts are 20mm so the new bolts are 25mm.
Thank you so much! Video was dead on got my cable already swapped out and followed the process and it is working perfectly. Cable is on the way back to you! Amazing service, support, and innovative products for sure.
New to CNC but y’all are on my radar. What’s the workflow for multiple cut files from something like Vectric or Fusion 360? Can you load them into a cuelist within the masso controller with tool change commands in between?
I used the Vectric Suite to create this. There are no multiple cut files, it's a single file with multiple toolpaths saved into one. It's not the only way it could be done, but it's the only automated way for it to be done. If I saved each toolpath as an individual file, at the conclusion of the tool path, I would have to load the next one. All it would do is take more time to finish. -Chris
I like the french cleat.
Those are way less confusing than the little French cleat bracket!! 😂 That little bracket causes a lot of head scratches and support ticket questions!!
I have a long Mill and now a SLB, I also have one of your 2.2k water-cooled kits. How do I get a cable?
@@jastoddart reach out to support@pwncnc.com
Thanks for explaining what the mystery little doo dad is for. What is the box on the right with the gauges for? I did not get one of those with my Onefinity spindle kit.
That's our Pneumatics enclosure that comes with our ATC Systems. Our ATC Motors are pneumatic in that they require air-pressure for tool changes as well as clearing dust away from the sensitive areas of the motor. We'll soon have a 3rd enclosure which will also use these same mounting brackets... stay tuned for that later this year ;-)
Great video, amazing that you're offering free cable exchanges. One clarification is in the gSender Firmware tool the "SLB" profile isn't used anymore since once you're connected with "grblHAL" as the firmware on the connection dropdown, you can just have any "LongMill" or "AltMill" Profile selected in the Firmware tool profile dropdown and it'll show you all the right settings. Also when you set the remaining settings remember to turn the SLB off and back on again to make sure they take effect. Pro tip: in gSender's console, if you press the 'Up' arrow on your keyboard, it'll bring up past commands that you've sent so you don't need to retype them :D
Thank you for the additional details. I've pinned your comment to the top so others will find it and I've updated the description to make note of these differences since it's impossible for me to re-edit/replace this video.
This is great, Daniel, I definitely want this cable!! 😃 I absolutely love how you're always working to improve things and make owning your spindle better for us users. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
Right on! Can’t wait for a new cable.
so, after a long period of not using this machine Ive lost a couple of pointers...I dont remember is i have to do a test speed before the masso will let me hit the spindle forward button...is there a way to make it happen with going to the mdi and doing a speed test first?
I just tested on 5.07 that you can hit the CW button on the Masso screen and the VFD will switch from blinking to solid indicating it's in forward/CW. No need to provide any sort of RPM speed before doing so. You can go into the MDI screen and run the command M3S6000 to tell the spindle to go 6000rpms. The VFD should switch from blinking to solid since M3 is equal to hitting the CW button. Then the vfd should ramp up to 6000rpms. Running the command M5 is the same as telling the spindle to stop.
@@PwnCNC I understand the last part of the reply but I am on 5.07 and it doesn’t spin the spindle. However I do hear the sound of the VFD and it changes on the MASSO main spindle display direction from stop to Cw but no spindle turning. Is there a code I may need to change in three VFD?
@@ApluswoodcraftsInc Shoot us an email to support@pwncnc.com and we can most certainly dig into this further with you. That'll be easier than via youtube commenting like this.
Roughly how much did that entire CNC with ATC cost you?
This machine is the Onefinity Elite Woodworker with the 80mm spindle mount costing $3336, it includes the Stiffy rail at $168, and the QCW $378 and Folding legs $368. As pictured i have their XYZ probe at $93 and if you buy their tool-setter that's $75. So all-in the CNC machine is $4415 +shipping/taxes. The 110v ATC runs $3400 plus chiller and tubing $295 along with the v10 dust boot $150, end-caps $22, stepper covers $32, and Ultimate Hose Clamp $20. Prototype boom should be released later this year. All-in... this setup will run $8334 +shipping/tax.
Is this for masso elite, right…?
No. The Elite has an output to trigger the forward/CW function but not all controllers do. This relates to the LongBoard from Sienci Labs. This controller is available for DiY machines and comes included with LongMill MK machines.
This is great! I didn't realize if it wasn't blinking it was still "running" I would always hit the stop when I changed bits and just thought that was all by design. On another topic, is the SLB/MODBUS still being worked out?
@@hamanjam we just solved this issue this past weekend. Working on documentation and such to get modbus control for SLB out there.
@@PwnCNC Great to hear that. You guys are always improving and it's much appreciated.

Hey... what are those wall mount tool racks in the background? Do you sell those? I just made a surface mount holder for my extra ER20's.... using your flush mount racks. But I would much rather do the wall mount.
Hello @michaelbeckwith977 These "Tool Trays" are available on the site (pwncnc.com/products/tool-tray) for purchase or in our maker files (pwncnc.com/products/tool-rack-for-makers).
@@PwnCNC Wow... I looked in your store... not sure how I missed them. Anyway thanks... just ordered!
There's simply NO WAY to get a spindle to work with GFCI is there? My local codes will not allow me to have a non-GFCI outlet for the CNC in the garage because it's attached to the house, no exceptions. I'd be happy to buy from you if I could use it. Thanks.
GFCI plugs are simply too sensitive to the quick power draw that occurs occasionally with VFD's. You can still have a GFCI Circuit Breaker, but the issue is specifically with GFCI plugs.
How does this spindle compare to the 1.2kw from carbide create? I assume it’s a little more powerful since you said it was a 1.5kw
Although not exactly compared in this article (pwncnc.com/pages/comparing-spindle-kits) it does a good job of comparing features that are part of the VFD. If you only compare the 1.2kw vs 1.5kw it is a super simple ours is slightly more powerful motor. Where we shine is with our VFD Enclosure and the many features we've chosen to expose from these Delixi VFD's. Along with the upgrade path into one of our ATC's.
This is amazing. Thank you.
Just got mine in this morning and finally a product that advertises to be plug and play that is actually plug and play. Other than having to wire my own plug (my choice) I had it up and running in less than 15 minutes.
Wow, I will finally be able to remove the original packaging protective foil 😂 I was really struggling to not stress it too much, but I won’t be able to hold on to it much longer. Will definitely grab a couple of these. Thank you!
You guys ever gonna become a dealer for masso?
Only if we can get a cool jacket with “Masso Dealer” embroidered on it! 😂
if i get one can you come put it on for me? lol
@@bigeasy_f150 if your in northwest Arkansas that could be arranged ;-)
@@PwnCNC eastern north Carolina. I just installed my spindle today and only messed up a few things 😂
Hi PwnCNC, nice product. Definitely want to know if the coolant if off or fails, that could save the spindle. A ?, my laser control/on - off box is mounted on the back of my MASSO controller. Does your panel have threaded holes to remount the laser module? Thanks
I've run this exact ATC motor for hours with no coolant flowing at all. It was light work... a 3d clearing and finishing pass. I was 3/4 through the finishing pass when i realized i'd forgotten to turn on the chiller... motor was barely warm. The chiller alarm is high when coolant is not flowing (off, blocked) and low when it is flowing. The Masso won't check that sensor though unless the spindle is actually running.
Looks cool! Does this void 1F/Masso warranties?
I can not comment on that, you'd have to ask Onefinity. However, with this design, i was very careful not to permanently change the machine in any way. The inlets panel can easily be removed without leaving behind any permanent modifications.
Time to capture the screen to better see what you are doing 😊
It’s great to watch a company continue to innovate. Will PWN plan on building accessories for the new Altmill from Seinci Labs? If yes, will an ATC coming for it? (Fingers crossed) 😉
Our AltMill is expected to ship in early August... very soon. I do plan to set it up and start immediately designing accessories for it. I'm helping Sienci Labs directly with getting the ATC functional on their new Ext-SuperLongBoard, however this will be a long process due to the amount of software development that needs to happen. Our Masso Conversion Kit coming out later this year is also a possibility for this machine. Lots of fun projects being worked on this year... exciting year ;-)
Buying it now so when my machine arrives, I'm ready to dominate it!
Love it! Keep up the great work PWNCNC!
