Fun fact: These 7 minutes on national TV in 2006 were what the guys from South Park were watching when they decided to skewer Bono with their brilliant “More Crap” episode in 2007. I’ve been a massive U2 fan since I heard Bad on the radio in 1984. But the overwhelming douche-ness Bono displays at the beginning of this video pontificating about what U2 is and isn’t followed by Vertigo and “yeah yeah yeah!!“ provided the inspiration for one of the greatest comedic skewerings of a high profile public figure in the history of TV.

Love this performance, but I love all of their performances. This was an amazing era of Coldplay, but as a long time fan, i appreciate the way the band has continuously evolved. For those commenting about missing the old Coldplay, they were great then and are great now. Forever the best band in the world ❤

My favorite song of all time, One. What it meant to the band, how it came along just in time to keep the band together at the breaking point, how all it's profits are given to charity. One, this song kept the band I love the most, together. When they were ready to part ways way before their time. Mary, is the only cover of this song that has ever moved me. No cover has ever done this song justice like Mary did. In my heart long live U2. The music of my life.
