The soundtrack is THE BEST! Lynne Ramsay is sooo good at portraying the subjective inner experience of her protagonists. She was supposed to adapt Stephen King's "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon" -- I hope that still happens!

This is my favourite movie -- hands down. I read the book -- it's different enough that it didn't really change the movie for me. Lynne Ramsay is so good at adapting books -- her films always add whole new dimensions to the stories.

I love how even during a time when avant-garde cinema wasn't flourishing as it did in the early 20th century, David Lynch still made consistently odd and avant-garde films. Great video!

i dragged 3 friends to see the lobster with me when it came out. i alone laughed out loud throughout the movie and was super excited leaving the cinema, feeling like id just seen maybe my fav film of the year... while my friends at most enjoyed the novelty, but didnt reeeally get it... lol. they were good sports tho and took it as an odd/fun movie going experience with there weird film enthusiast friend ha ha

Interesting: you say it's like Morvern is 'an alien discovering human life for the first time'. Reminds me of 2013's "UNDER THE SKIN" starring Scarlett Johansson. "MORVERN CALLAR" and "UNDER THE SKIN" would make for a compelling double-bill.
