Not afraid. Just curious. Maybe we all need an “Ark”. Looks like the pilot & Crew did an excellent job. They got themselves and the ship back home. Wonder if this is what Noah experienced. Lots of big wave 🌊 energy. That ship was safe & sound back at home port. The island they were evacuated off from…. How did those people fair??

I used to work for NCLA and the ship I was on, we ended up in a really bad ocean storm that took us out of the way from our usual ports of call, into a remote Island area in Hawaii. Very memorable times ❤😢🎉

I was on this cruise with you and happened to search for anything to show my friends what we sailed through. I can't believe the butt-hats commenting here who are 100% Clueless. Here's what they don't know. 1) The ship waited too long to evacuate us at GSC. That's a tender port. It was an insanely crazy ride back to the ship. People who were on the ship stood on their balconies and prayed for us. We were in the Haven, and some filmed ourc tender back not sure if we would even make it. 2) The storm was forecasted well. NCL ignored it and sailed through, despite knowing the risks. Pretty much EVERY OTHER CRUISE LINE sailed AROUND it. 3) We spent an entire night at about a 12 degree list. Not a PEEP from the captain. 4) In fact, updates from the Capt were few and far between. All he kept saying was that the weather was worse than expected. BS. How were the Breakaway and Gem the ONLY ships not to adjust course, if that was the case. 5) NCL never revealed a dancer at Cirque fell on her head during a performance and they stopped the performance. This was 100% due to rough seas. Yet, NCL claimed no one was injured. 6) It was so bad, ice was thick INSIDE the balcony room sliders. Thick. 7) The lobby was FULL of pax sleeping in their life jackets. That's how afraid people were. 8) No one told the pax when we would be docking when we returned to NYC. We waited ages, even with priority disembarkation. We learned it was because the ice was so thick on the outdoor decks that they had to spray them down with hot water and knock down icicles. 8) The offer from NCL to those sailing was abysmal. We bought a Vibe cabana (about $350) for the week. All outdoor decks (where the vibe is located) were closed after Day 2. Me: how about a pro-rated refund for that? NCL: WHAT? no. It's nonrefundable. Too bad, so sad. Sorry the Vibe was closed for 5 out of 7 days. Tough. They only offered 25% FCC based on fare paid. Even though more than 25% of our cruise was affected. That's why people sued. I could go on, but I'm sure all the buttwipes who are blaming pax and defending NCL are long gone (and good riddance).

Wow, considering the size and intensity of the storm, the ship came through, relatively undamaged, demonstrating a sound ship design and a trained crew and captain. I have no doubt that it was a rough and terrifying trip. But if all you had to show for it was a little seasickness, you should be thanking and complimenting the cruise line. Stop whining like a spoiled mule, you are still alive with a story of a lifetime.

Funny how people would actually cry about it, when as adults, fully aware of the dangers that the sea can bring; then to blame anyone is pure childishness but typical. I've always said if I ever took a cruise I would only hope it would be like this. Something to truly remember, lucky are they who got to enjoy it. Christ is King...

I am with the ppl with comments for & towards the Master of the vsl & crew for their best in having the vsl sail reasonably safe thru the storm. Ppl sailing on a cruise ship on high seas shud be aware of the pro/cons of the voyage whatsoever. I have been in the merchant marine & wud certainly state that this is NO terrifying storm.. They haven't seen the terror on the high seas yet.. The cruise vsl they were sailing on is one of the latest vsls built. With the latest technology available in terms of structural stability, navigation, crew training, SOLAS & engineering ect. Merchant Marine vsls are more susceptible to damages & or capsizing in foul weather than the modern built cruise ships..
