@@tolgakaba7128 This was recorded before the Halloween update. I'm thinking the gummy fish are messing with the loot chance. That's not normal, at least in my experience it isn't normal.

@@MrChibblez Their last patch removed my key binding for it. I changed mine to R. Check your key binding for hooking fish, I can't remember exactly what section that's in.

@@kendjinone830 You can start anytime you like :). Me personally, I started fishing when my gear progression started to get slower. Make sure to use paste bait that you get from contract coin merchant or with ornate coins, and catch small fish for sacks. These sacks contain a random chance at gold, nature's jade, and trait unlock stones. The arch boss items I haven't seen yet, but that would make fishing even more important if what you heard becomes true.

@@KoKiSprout I don't know if this will help, but reel in about 30% of your stamina and let go, then repeat until the fish is caught. This should keep those stronger fish in the center. Also, as your fishing level goes up, those fish become easier to catch.

different locations have different levels of fish. If you go to castleton docks until level 5 fishing you'll have an easier time

True. Paste bait is the only one for sacks. 0:18 I mention Paste bait is best for sacks. I should have phrased it to "only works for sacks"

@@kohee-e Before a fish bites, you see it's silhouette. After fishing for so long I got used to what the different sizes looked like. If it wasn't the size I was wanting, I would pull the float back out before it hooked the fish and recast. That would save the bait from being used, as well.

@@mohamedatta3586 The other ones should be better. Steel Rod gives +1 to fishing level. Blue rod (Craft at Purple Sundries Merchant) +2 Platinum Rod +3 (Loot from Mystic Portals) Kraken Rod +3 (Loot from bag you get from Amitoi Expeditions to Daybreak Shores)

@@SmokeDxBeakeR Thanks for that comment :) I'm getting back to the point to catch everything now. I'm thinking of doing paste bait for small fish/sacks, then when those run out go catch everything with fillet bait. Good luck out there!

I think the point is to get the sacks in which he states, for the chance of jades... For the better rods. I'd say after you make the purple rod do regular fishing

Contract Coin Merchant in major towns. I get mine in Stonegard. Also, in the shop menu, you can spend ornate coins on them as well.

getting patched why ? its probably normal that other types of bait have smaller/0 chances of getting a sack considering you get to only purchase paste bait and you need to be able to get better fishing rods.. only thing this tutorial is teaching you how to speed it up by recognising which fish is it/if theres a chance for a bag or no. nevertheless kudos to the author. ive figured it out by trial and error and can save some ppl lot of time. even green rod is huge imo ;p

This is a well known trick in kr server for a long time but they didn't bother "fixing" it. I wouldn't worry too much

RNG can be optimized. He is just showing us how to not waste time catching the big fishes, only the small fish have sacks.

I don't know what to tell you but I just did this strat. Caught 50 small fish got 13 small sacks 1 big sack. Caught 50 big fish 0 sacks total. All in the same spot and paste bait.​@@vlad1500

That's like farming for a gear in the wrong dungeon... it is rng based but if you do it wrong to begin with then rng wont change a thing

Bigger fish take longer to reel in .. not sure how it's bs, just reel in the faster smaller fish and get more chances at sacks... Simple

8 small 3 big per 50 paste has given me doing this trick

There was a couple of instances I ran out of paste bait and used fish bait. I'm 99% sure sacks don't get caught with those. I will do another test with a good chunk of fish fillet just to be sure.

Since this video proves that sacks show up as small fish, it makes sense, since fish bait attracts very mostly big fish, it says it the item description.

Once I get the blue rod crafted (or RNG blesses me with the purple rod) I'll save them based off your info. Thanks for the tip 😊
