Coilteks new Goldhawk 14 x 9 coil for the GPX6000 proving itself in Western Australia. Great coil for finding new ground or just locating those tiny nuggets in highly mineralised ground. Here is an old GOLD find I had a few years ago when the trusty COILTEK Gold Stalker coil was the best coil available. This little nugget was in a field of around 50 nuggets (a nice patch). To reveal a nugget like this one for the first time still brings a little flutter to the heart.

A couple of weeks ago I detected a nice looking target with minute specks of gold poking through. After soaking in acid, what came out was quite interesting! A new experience for me. GOLD which had never travelled, still encased in its host rock proved to be rather sharp and prickly! R

A special find for me as this is the first Specimen I have encountered with these characteristics! Something a little different from the norm. Another great day detecting in Western Australia.

Had an AWESOME day out in the WA goldfields successfully detecting gold. Using a 'loaned' Coiltek 14" Mono Elite from Finders Keepers in Kalgoorlie, I found it exceptional in picking up signals on noisy ground. The machine I use is an old GP3500 which I believe to be as good as any other available for finding gold.
