The Woman in the Window: Book vs Movie
👍🏿
Really good book the ending blew my mind. Really great author too, easy to read and drew me in with suspense I couldn’t put it down. The main character made me mad a lot lol I caught myself wanting to yell at her 😭 probably cause I’m a girl dad lol
@@iLuvGaming 😂😂 Yes, the main character did not seem to have any self preservation!! 😩 And that ending was definitely jaw dropping! Thanks for watching and commenting! ☺️
Hey Tracie! I wanna say you are one of my fav book tubers because you review one specific book I was searching. I either have read the book or don’t want to so idc if I’m spoiled…. And sometimes that intrigues me to even pick it up because of your thoughts. To the ppl who are commenting about spoilers…. You are REVIEWING the book. If they don’t want spoilers they should be viewing book RECOMMENDATION videos. Those vids typically give the plot and push to read it. There is a huge difference in my opinion. Keep doing what you are doing!!! ❤❤❤
@@sunshineeflyy Aw, thank you so much for that!! Yeah, it’s super weird to watch or read a book review and not expect for the reviewer to say something about the book! 😂😂 But people can be weird sometimes. Thanks so much for all your continued support!! Can’t wait to share my thoughts on some of the books I read over the break!
Actually, I'm picky. & I enjoyed it. It seemed a realistic infatuation as they kept insisting it won't last & they can use their air miles. Plus (as usual) they were both extremely reluctant to share their feelings 😂
Thanks for the update! Looking forward to your videos this year. That snow tubing looked so scary! I have never done that. We are supposed to get a little snow tomorrow and tomorrow night but not enough for tubing. Happy Reading!
I think I died and came back to life twice on that hill! 😩😂 Thanks so much for stopping by! 😊
You had me at "ear hustling!" 😂 Thanks for your fun review. I just read this for a book club and enjoyed it.
@@Meagan0624 Thank you so much for watching and commenting! Ear hustling is one of my favorite things to do! 😉🤣🤣
Just found your channel. Subscribed..
@@brensgems7539 Yay!! Thank you so much!🤗
You are so right! This book was very painful to get through!
@@M32DWorld From the premise I felt it had promise but it was serious struggle!
Loved this book just finished . It was the perfect to book to get me going for 2025 I’m only a year late 1yr slip 😂😂😂 …. I usually run a mile when there is any fantasy or time travel element in a book but in glad I stayed. I love romance books with substance and this was just that and you have described it perfectly
@@mrlorraine2575 It was so good! One of my top reads for 2024. 😊
This book has a lot of buzz. Looking forward to reading it next year!
I'm so late in the game but I just wanted to express appreciation for this review. I've been wanting to dip my toes into Kennedy Ryan's books but I feel like I need some kid gloves and I'm scared to start because people mentioned the feels hurt bad. But this review encouraged me that the journey will be worth it!
@@xshingie oh definitely worth it! At least for this series! It’s sooo good! 😊
This was a sweet romance with some substance for deeper thought. Really like how you reviewed this book and mentioned the many layers to it.
Really enjoyed your review. You should totally do a long spoilery review discussing endings, especially for thrillers. I also thought this book was engaging and def there were some really unexpected twists, except I feel like it got so convoluted the bad character ended up looking like a good character by the end. Besides the ending, I liked the rest of the book very much.
@@krati. You are spot on about the bad character being a good character…not sure how I felt about it when it was all said and done. I appreciated him taking care of Amanda’s revenge but you still killed and attacked a bunch of people, so we can’t let you off the hook so easy! I would love to see this one adapted as a limited TV series!
The whole immortality trope has become one of my favs after reading a love song for Ricki Wilde. That book still lives rent free in my head! I have enjoyed watching your videos and can’t wait til see what you have in store for 2025! See you next year girlfriend 😊😊😊
@@sunshineeflyy I still wish I could go back and read that book for the first time! It was so good!! Thank you so much for all your support, I really appreciate it! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and I’ll see you next year. 🤗
I read this book awhile ago and enjoyed it too. Have you read, “What Happened to Nina”?
@@SweetbitterKi No, I haven’t read that book…is it by the same author?
@ No it’s by Dervla McTiernan. I read around the same time as i read “Kill For Me, Kill For You” so they kinda go together for me. And i enjoyed both.
@ Oh, okay! I’m going to check it out! Thanks watching and engaging! 🤗
Hi. Great review. Good spirit. I think I'm about to translate this novel into French so I definitely won't be fast reading it in one afternoon! And yes, do oo and ..readPeter's other.books..: The Kind. Worth. Killing,.and.The Kind Worth with ++ + Lily... And the other ones as well!
Kind Worth Saving.
@@wherezpeaceat4099 Thanks so much for watching and for the recommendation!! Good luck with the translation!
I loved your review. Finished the book earlier today, and it wrecked my brain all the things Jack were doing and planned on doing. Also can't forgive him for what he did with the dog.
@@annelinearries6401 Jack was evil!!! And got everything he deserved!! 😫🤣 Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I don’t know how I found this book so late, but oh my goodness! I loved every second of it and it is definitely my favorite Kennedy Ryan books. Love love love
Same, just finished it
I’m so glad I found this! ❤
I just finished this book too this week lol
@@sunshineeflyy we’re on the same wave! 🤣 wasn’t it crazy tho?! I didn’t know how I felt about them both being psychopaths. 🤔
Thank you for this informative review 🙏 You made me laugh in the end when you said: and Nev just kept on Nevving 😂
Thank you for this, sincerely. Always felt that EJD didn't receive the worldwide recognition outside of the urban community that he deserved. His writing style is phenomenal and he wrote from both sides convincingly, which is not easy for writers. Plus, he could describe a scene so vividly that it made you feel as if you were actually there with the characters first hand and not just from a second or third party view. Eric was a beast with the pen, lol. His Gideon series is what peeked my interest in traveling outside of the country. No lie.. Really wished he could be here to have them made into major films. They would be a box office hit with many, especially the men. Got the males in my family to read, LoL. Thieves Paradise as well.. Sorry for the long post but EJD's passing really touched me because his novels were a major part of my literary life in many stages of my life. Brilliant man with an even more brilliant mind. May he Rest In Paradise.✨🕊️
I loved the ending it was so sick and twisted, but Sarah genuinely having no remorse for murdering Adam was wild.😂
@@obadiahmccollum4268 She for sure a sociopath! 😫 Did you know there’s a sequel coming out next year?! Apparently she gets remarried. 👀
As for recommendations on my end, Kingdom Fall by A. Zaverelli
@@mojo1433 adding it to the list!
Love me some mafia romance, was on the lookout for some new ones to read and came across your video. Thanks for the recommendations, and to answer your question regarding different covers...I believe a lot of them originally are self published, and later get picked up by a publisher who redo the covers. In the case of Brutal Vows( and the rest of the series) it was picked up by Bramble. Hope that helps :)
@@mojo1433 ah, that makes sense about the covers! Thanks for letting me know! Hope you enjoy some of my recommendations!🤗
This book was good but seven days in june is still my favorite
I am just starting this book and I wanted to know a little more about the story line first. I really enjoyed hearing your personal viewpoint and how it related to your life. Very insightful. I look forward to listening to more of your reviews. I just finished his newest book, The Life Impossible. There were some deep dives in my Bookclub around loss, guilt, grieving and the appreciation of life itself. I would recommend. My absolute favorite book of Matt Haig’s is The Midnight Library.
@@mariannadavis1922 I loved The Midnight Library too! And The Life Impossible is on my list. I love how his books combine fantasy and escape elements that also make you think. Thank you so much for watching! 😊
I saw the Ethan and Cody twist. I was blind sighted by the who did it but after finding out it became painfully obvious the foreshadowing I had missed.
I love your videos! Please keep it up! You'll find your audience in due time! I already am part of it :)
@@TheGreatestPitt Aw, thank you! I sincerely appreciate your kind words and support! 😊
This book was soooo good I couldn’t even watch the tv series because I wanted it to be just like the book. 😂😂😂😂
@@golden_life0867 I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the series if you haven’t watched it. I think the casting was spot on! I just don’t know how I feel about them dragging it out for another season. 😫
The ending of the book, the revelation pissed me off. I liked the book until then. Idk what to rate it after that. But I’m gonna watch the limited series.
@@golden_life0867 Yeah, that ending took me by surprise! When does the limited series air?
I absolutely loved this book! Great review
@@Mhami_reads It was really good!
I agree. I dont feel like it tied together well at the end. I consistently felt like nothing mattered, especially towards the end.
Love this review 😄 just finished this book and nobody reads this kinda stuff so it’s nice to “relay” all the craziness w someone else 😂
@@missfish11 🤣🤣 That was one of the reason I started my channel. I would read these kind of books and be like, “I’ve got to tell somebody about this crazy book!!” 😂
Running to Amazon to purchase! This sounds amazing.
@@taliahanderson-mack9245 Thank you!! 😊
I loved it! It was the book of the month for one of the book clubs in. Great pick!
@@Latoyabrown89 This book was so good that I purchased the audiobook (after reading the physical copy) just because it was on sale. And I don’t even listen to audiobooks! 🤣 But I’m going to start listening on my morning walks, just so I can experience the story again! 🤗
I love you reading them out of order. Lollll Book 3 was my fave. And Book 2 came in second.
@@reginaldfairfield 🤣 When I read The Hookup Plan is when I even realized it was a series! Totally living under a rock! 😫🤣
She deserves all the love.
@@colleenjune7534 Yes, she does! 😊
😊Just finished this. A Netflix show based on the book would be awesome! Netflix better get on it.
I just read this book recently and I thought it did a bad job hiding that he was crazy because it was so obvious but her also being crazy was a solid twist.
@@TheJrockfreak Yes!! I was dumbfounded by all the red flags she chose to ignore! But she apparently knew what she was doing. 🤣 I just wish we would have been given more information as to WHY she did it.
I really enjoyed the book. I don’t think it was an oversimplification of depression for everyone. Depression doesn’t look the same in everyone. If the circumstances in my life are poor, then I’m going to be depressed. However, some people are clinically depressed, regardless of what’s going on in their life.
@@MsMonsterMashMitch This is so true!
Silent Patient…. Absolutely brilliant.. never guessed… had chills. Now I’m gonna read Rock paper scissors. Thanks!
@@myjoybox Ooh I think you’ll enjoy it as well! ☺️
The silent patient made me gasp and stare at the wall for a good minute! Lol
🤣 That's how I felt! I was like, "ain't no way!" 🤣
I read Stacey Abrams Lead From the Outside. She has good writing skills and she is a great narrator. I had no idea she had other writings.
@@shear1003 Oh yeah! She did some fiction books before she got noteworthy in politics. But they were all under her pen name of Selena Montgomery.
Thank you for this review! I just finished this book last night and I loved it!! I’m usually a mystery thriller reader but this suspense thriller really kept me engaged and excited! If you like fast paced thrillers, you’ll love Freida McFadden! New to your channel so you may have already reviewed her work lol. I loved Eva and Liz’s friendship, and I’m also disappointed with Eva’s fate :( I was hoping she had somehow made her way off of the plane but when they explained why she wasn’t in her original seat in the epilogue, I was crushed knowing she was really gone. Part of me thinks it was her karma for not taking Liz’s advice and coming clean when she had the chance. She chose to keep running and look where it got her :/ But I’m so glad Claire found her freedom and didn’t have to be on the run or live in the shadows anymore!
@@sim1regina It was a really good read!
So I loved this book but I had this exact issue with the couple next door. The ending genuinely made me upset, but I guess I was expecting it this time so the twist didn’t bother me. Shari Lapena is like the M. Knight Shamalan I of this genre. I’ve read about 4 of her books and liked this one the best.
@@jovgreen8627 She does have some crazy twists! 🤣
Loved Beverly too! And how she always believed in Lucy’s innocence.
@@alisonchaplin8641 Yes!! She was my favorite character! ☺️
I cracked up when you said you were late to the party with this book 3 yrs ago and I just finished yesterday lol of course I had to check to see if you read it. I loved your casting it was spot on. I wanted to ask do you think there is a difference between mystery and thriller? This I will say did not have a twist for me. More like the unveiling of a truth. It was a small shock but didn’t drop my jaw for some reason. I just knew it was gonna go the shutter island route and when it didn’t I was low key mad lol cuz homeboy had no business being anybody therapists he was just as crazy lol
@@sunshineeflyy My goodness when it first came out, this book was everywhere! It seemed like everybody I knew had read it! But it has gained even more popularity since its release. I think the reason I found it so jaw dropping is because it was right there in front of us the whole time, with tue dual storyline, but we never made the connection! And when you go back over everything it seems a bit obvious. 🤣 I think mysteries usually involve a “whodunnit” and we’re looking to solve a puzzle. The thriller part comes in if there’s a bunch of activity leading up to it. Like a cat and mouse type situation. In retrospect, I don’t think The Silent Patient is really a thriller. The action is rather slow. But it still remains one of my faves! 😊
I started with Pleasure, then went back and brought used books of his earlier books and brought and brought the last 11 brand new and in hard back copy. He inspired me write I enjoyed his style and his story telling. I have 29 of his books on my self and one on kindle. I spoke of him today. Have you read The Son of Mr Suleman yet ? I started it but as it his last book, I don’t want to finish as there will be no more after this. But I will finish it and re read the others so I can give you my top 5 because I can’t decide on a favourite.
@@robynkidd4654 I haven’t read Son of Mr. Suleman yet either. I do have a copy of it. I don’t know what I’m waiting on. Maybe like you said, it would just be so FINAL. 🥺
Hey girl hey! I enjoyed this book for the most part but I wished it was dual POV. It woulda been nice to get a break from the FMC lol
@@sunshineeflyy I’ve always thought when it came to romance books we definitely need to hear from BOTH characters! Just to get a fair assessment of what they’re each thinking. 🤔
