How to Make Mizuhiki (UMEMUSUBI) in English
I made this step by step Mizuhiki making video for the members of Tokyo Creative Moms (Facebook group). I broke down the process into little parts so that it's a lot easier to understand.

Thank you the tutorial was so useful .. what can we do with the off cuts after making the knots? I hate to waste them!

Pleasure is all mine! Thank you so much for making the Mizuhiki! I usually collect them and make them into a brooch! Let me make another video of this. Please keep all the cut offs!

Superb, easy to follow tutorial, Ayako- thank you! Appreciate your tips about the glue. I am using pretty mizuhiki i bought at Ozu Washi in Tokyo during my trip to Japan- amazing store, highly recommend for washi, origami and mizuhiki afficionados.

Ohhh did you make it to Ozu Washi? That's so lovely! Did you attend their Washi making workshop? It's so much fun! I'm so so happy to hear you had a great time in Japan! Please come back soon!

That makes me so happy to hear that! Please give it a try! You can use any other cords as well and it doesn't have to be Mizuhiki!
