I think Ike stays. Talk to the Fire Emblem community and Intelligent Systems and they'll tell you he's the most popular character in the series. He's super well liked and has won a ton of official popularity polls. He needs a major rework to his tools and stats in the game and get rid of that Ultimate version of that neutral air and he's good just like the others.

That's a lot of 3rd party characters you keep here... I pretty much agree with all the 1st party. In my opinion Square would want to keep a slot ont he roster but maybe switch it to promote their current games (like the hero of a new DQ or the main character of a new FF). Also I think Snake would sadly be cut once again... So I would keep K Rool and Dark Samus or Wolf instead (to keep some more villain representation) Also Daisy could just return as an echo if they keep the concept, so I think Falco could also stay. Anyway fun video !

Good list. Only thing I would argue is it needs at least one Nintendo retro character outside of Mario or Donkey Kong. My personal pick is Duck Hunt, but Mr. Game & Watch or R.O.B. would work instead.

Daisy would never need her own slot, she's just never gonna not be compared/unlike Peach. At most I would see her being an alt and nothing more. Min Min and Banjo are also unnecessary. "Representing" old eras is kinda moot if you also exclude characters for their irrelevance, despite fame. Charizard is also suspect IMO, plenty were sad it was just Zard in smash 4 and if squirtle and ivysaur are already gone, I don't think people will miss it solely being zard. I'd put a more important character to smash than them, like Ice Climbers, who represent a pretty important smash milestone and character of being two. Krool would also be a choice IMO since he is both a villain and a big body heavyweight, who are in short supply in smash. Falco and Game & Watch missing are also insane.
