I wanted to keep it fair by position. I didn't want to put a QB in ROTY then put another one in runner up. Wanted to keep it spread out I do believe though that on a skill level Bo Nix is very close to Jayden Daniels. I wish we had more weapons so Bo Nix could really shine, instead of Adam Trautman as a TE one and a mix of Josh Reynolds, Lil Jordan at WR2 lmao

Washed up? It’s his first decent season. Good weapons or not he’s not playing like complete crap like before. Obviously he may not be the one carrying his team but he’s been good

@@falseandfactssports He literally is playing like absolute crap and if it weren't for having the literal best recieving core in the league he'd be a bottom 3 QB and cut already. But the fact he can simply throw up a 50/50 ball and his dude come up with it 80% of the time and the fact KOC can call plays that get people 5 yards of space so that Darnold can miss his target by 3 yards safely is the only reason he has a job.

He’s struggled a lot the past couple weeks but it’s not like it’s been like that all season. He hasn’t been elite but he’s still been decent and doing what he was brought in to do. He’s not supposed to be a do all qb he’s the teams placeholder and he’s doing a way better job at that than Gardner Minshew, Jacoby brisset (when he was playing), and mason Rudolph when he plays. He is getting carried a bit by receivers, but he wouldn’t be starting right now did he was entirely trash. He’s not great but he’s still doing more than what he was brought in to do

@@falseandfactssports He's been decent because he has literally the best receiving core in the league, a stellar offensive line, and a solid run game. If we had a good great QB we'd be 10-0 no questions, not even close. But we don't. He seems good because of how often JJ or Addison or Jones or (now) Hock get 2-3 yards of space. Look at a lot of his highlights, one of those guys is standing either wide open to the point they can catch and turn without being hit, or they have the safety cover beat by a step and all Sam has to do is put it in front of them. But guess what, he almost never puts it in front of them 75+% of the time that receiver who has literally everyone beat and no one to stop them has to stop to make the catch. KOC and his offense are just so good at making space that any QB in the league could have us at 8-2. But I'll be damned if Sam hasn't been trying to make that not true. He almost acts like he wants to make that statement "31 of 32 starting QBs could take us to 8-3, and only Sam couldn't do it." He's bad. Like, really bad. And he is being saved by the fact his team is otherwise the best team in the league no questions asked. He's missing open receivers by several feet, throwing it to them at the ground when they are wide open, throwing it behind them. And when he has to thread a gap to make a pass it almost always is knocked down. Sometimes intercepted. And then sometimes, he just throws the ball straight at the other team with no purple player even having a chance at making the catch. And it literally HAS been all season. Just at different times all season. Its not every game, but its any game he could just throw in the trash. And you're right, he wouldn't have been a starter if he was bad. Hence why JJ McCarthy is on the team. He was meant to hold us over until JJ was confident enough to take the field. He wasn't meant to be a starter. Also, incorrect, there are plenty of actively bad starters. Richardson, Young, Watson, Levis, Jones. All actively bad players only surviving by the fact those teams don't have other valid options. Just like us. If JJM was healthy he'd be starting 100% guaranteed. But the reason Sam is still starting is because his only replacement is Mullens, who I admit is still worse.

They’d have to re-sign him, and Darnold probably knows he’s not the long term solution and he may want to try to sign with a team where he has a shot to be that. If they want to keep sitting McCarthy, might make sense to sign a cheaper vet. Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, jimmy G (Lol), Heinicke, would all be available 2025 Second thing you said kinda matches what I said about Stafford. That take a reach but definitely a possibility. Think about what happened with Alex smith and the chiefs

Darnolds contract is up after this season, they’d have to re-sign him and I’d assume will want to go somewhere where he may have a shot to be their QB for a couple years. He clearly won’t be that in Minnesota since they drafted McCarthy 10

@@falseandfactssports and JJ McCarthy is 21, why would they not have him sit for a little while like they did with Love? Darnold could easily get signed on a 4 year and let JJ sit for a few years and let him up when darnold starts to decline (again)

Sam Darnold is probably due for 20-25 mil unless he falls off a cliff. JJ McCarthy looked game ready after the preseason and was pretty damn close to the starting job. Lots of veteran QBs that’ll be on the market. And what’s Sam Darnold true incentive to stay when he knows he’s not gonna be the long term answer
