What I am about to say can only be explained as coming from God. I am on a spiritual journey, there have been some ups and downs. Lately, I have been having lots of ups and downs, finding myself or rather my faith wavering at times. Today at church, the Pastor preached about Faith and he spoke from the book of Mark, Chapter Five, verses 21-43. As all of us of the congregation read along, I remembered Luke speaking about the inspiration behind this very painting. Faith....It gets us through the bad times, but is it always there even in the good times. This is what I took from the sermon today, what the Scripture text, this painting and even the song also reminded me of.....Faith. God bless you Luke and many prayers that God continues to bless you on your journey with God. Amen!

When I look at the painting.....What I see....visualizing.....Jesus up on the cross. The cross that humanity (us) put him on and as he slowly dies....a bright golden light radiates from him. This light tells us that we have been forgiven because Jesus allowed himself to be a sacrifice for us. It is beautiful painting with a powerful message.

I do agree that when we pray....especially when we pray to God that he is not just in the church, statues or paintings. He is everywhere...all around us. He is sun, the moon, the stars. In fact, I would say if all of us were to close our eyes and picture the cosmos that we would see God there. This bright shining light floating in the middle of the vast universe. When you think of God in that way....one can see the amazing love and power that radiates from God.

On my spiritual journey....I will say that I have learned a lot, especially about Love.....God's Love mainly. God's Love is definitely unconditional....God's love has no limits. Learning to love myself the way God loves me has been not only eye-opening, but it has also opened my heart. What I take from this is that we are all a tree that is wants to share our love with the world. The Love from God that has helped us mature into the strong, loving people that God knows that we can be. Very beautiful painting and a even more beautiful message within the painting. Beautiful story about the painting - Second Chance. As I am dreamer who does a lot of writing. I came up with a story in my mind about a Second Chance. A woman who had committed crime and serving time in prison meets an attorney who hears her story. Moved by her genuine remorse and the acceptance and admittance of the bad choice she made in which made her accomplice to the crime. This attorney set out to help her. During this time, the woman also found herself turning back to God and found happiness and love in her faith. The attorney managed to get her transferred to a minimum security prison that strongly and positively encourages rehabilitation. It is there that she slowly realized that God was giving her a second chance...she was in a more positive place, she was working and best of all, the attorney who helped her not only became her friend, but they fell in love. Long story short....They married and she became a minister....her love and faith in God allowed her to have a Second Chance and she took that second chance and didn't waste it. God always gives us second chances....a chance to be better people. When you allow God's love to come into your heart, you find that no matter what you've done, God can and does give you a second chance.

As I listened to the story behind that painting...I see one traveling to the moon...looking down at the Earth to see what is going on. Also when I look at the painting....I see a vision.....a person (possibly myself) walking up an astral staircase that leads to the moon. There, God is waiting....he knows that I have a concern about my place in the world and what I could possibly do to make the world better. That is what I see when I look at Lonely Girl Moon.

Definitely allow God to take the wheel of your life. Trust as he steers your life in the right direction. Yes, there are going to be twists and turns and bumps. Hang on because some of those turns are going to be sharp and some of those bumps are going to be rough. Yet, when it's all said and done, you will find that the journey was worth it. Yeah, I like it! In my humble opinion, I believe the painting would benefit if you used a darker frame like in the case of Tears of Maryam. Black and gold is an amazing combination. Thanks for sweetness always... It's truly appreciated.
