Halaloween Special: Jinn & Legends: Stories from Palestine
On Wednesday, October 16th at Hatcher library, we hosted an intimate Halaloween gathering and discussion over tea and pastries, where we discussed stories, myths, and legends brought to us by the Jerusalem-based Palestine Fiction Council (مجلس الخيال) and Founder Ahmad Nabil.
Ahmad, a visual artist, practitioner, and researcher in the fields of Arab and Islamic mythology and paranormal phenomena, will introduce the Fiction Council and then talk about his work: he'll open with a few legends/myths/readings from his book “Hidden Companions,” about the documented paranormal encounters from the old city of Jerusalem, then delve into jinn and other supernatural stories from Palestine.
