Also Ali was supreme because he didn't go to war, he fought inside and outside of the ring and for that he will always be remembered as the greatest.

The prime Ali wouldn't have been caught by half of what Norton was able to land on the deteriorated 70s version of Ali. Edit: forgot to mention Frazier. Those deadly left hooks Frazier landed in 1971 wouldn't have landed in 66/67 as Ali's reflexes/speed were on another level. Explain why Ali was able to come back in 74&75 to beat Frazier twice. Ali also beat Norton sound in their 1st rematch & reasonable decision in 2nd rematch after he was far out of his prime and Norton was also younger than Ali, Norton had less wear & tear as well

The third fight I will give it to either one because it was so close but Eddie Futch ended what was Frazier's Sole purpose in life , to beat up his bully Ali. Frazier wasn't dumb and would keep the pressure as he would be younger too in 66 which is what we saw from Frazier in his early professional fights like Bonavera. On the other hand it isn't what Norton could do to Ali , it's what Ali could do to hurt Norton and that is nothing. Ali's feather punches and trash talking never affected Norton the same way it did to his other opponents probably cuz he was a marine. Ali could never get past his crossguard Even with speed. He'd miss like he did in all three bouts. Norton was a thinker in the ring too he never charged Ali like Foreman or even Frazier did. Even a 66 Ali couldn't have hurt Norton because Ali wasn't a big puncher and Norton's biggest weakness was hard punchers like Foreman, shavers and Cooney. Larry Holmes had trouble with Norton and he had a way better jab and probably as good a chin as Ali. Once again this is just my opinion on what I think are some of the best boxers ever.
