It’s crazy how metal gave such a smack talk to sage more then he did with infinity (imo) despite infinity did nothing while sage did a good amount of work. Sure not as much as metal but she did shit. Hell the first shot of the death egg WOULDVE won if bowser didn’t got revived as a skeleton and she would’ve landed the 2nd shot if jr didn’t turn it into a yellow block. I think it's implied that Sage helped with the planning. The strategy was: 1. Gather all of Bowser's troops into one location 2. Send a decoy to assess the situation 3. Send the heavy hitters to take out all of their strongest hitters before... 4. Eggman gets to sweep everyone else with the Death Egg Robot. (This wasn't entirely necessary but you know how much he likes to show off) They were however caught off by Bowser coming back. But even then, Sage still came up with different plans on the spot. Team up with Metal and play defensive until an opening could be found (she seemed pretty unfazed). Sending a barrage of cannon fodder against Bowser to lure out Kamek so that Metal was free to speedblitz him. They succeeded in taking out Kamek, but didn't have enough info regarding Bowser's strength or powerups, and when she saw Metal, their strongest in terms of raw power, get defeated, she knew it was basically over and would've probably asked Eggman to retreat. However, she knew Eggman's tenacity wouldn't allow him to give up until he's tried everything. When asked to fire the laser, she purposely targetted the Death Egg's laser at Bowser's army rather than directly at him as she knew he'd be willing to protect them. This plan did kill Bowser, but the King didn't stay dead as he was resurrected in his Dry Form. She would've fired it again had the Death Egg not get turned into a Lucky Block.
