    I was very concerned by a video covering the installation of the "Aeromotive" fuel tank module as the venting of the tank was capped & sealed. Only later in comment did he claim a roll over valve was employed on one of the tanks fittings. Please consider a video to cover this issue as fumes can fill a garage overnight, why a roll over valve is needed, keeping tanks from collapsing, or gas station pumps kicking off during refueling. I like many, installing a Tahoe LS in a 50 year old truck but asked the programmer to allow purge as I installed an activated carbon canister to store & burn the fuel vapors I paid for. Problem during refueling come from no tank venting as new gas tank caps increase vent pressure from 1 PSI to 2 PSI. The hydrocarbon rich atmosphere trapped in the tank has to go somewhere. We know it depends on how the vehicle is used for, designed use and vented to allow air in via a carbon canister while having an active roll over valve that closes as soon as liquid fuel touches it. This causes the gas stations pump to react thru the aspiration tube to shut off. Thanks! ASE Master tech since 78

    Was thinking about a controller because my Aeromotive vane pump is little to noisy at idle when waiting for the traffic light. Means at idle I dont need 13,8Volt on the pump. Will see how to work this out.

    I've watched several assembly videos for this particular ptfe hose with the associated reusable hose ends. I believe this is the Fragola 6000 series black hose with the Fragola "Real Street" reusable hose ends. This video is in my opinion is the most detailed, and best articulated I have seen. Nice job Brett! I subed👍

      I am confused slightly on your concern but placing a 100 micron filter before the pump is the first protection for the pump. Pumps may wear as the may provide venting for normal caveated fuel in stage one of a vane rotor creates a vacuum. This feeds stage two vane rotor to push fuel through the pump, pass the spring loaded check valve into the second filter to the injection rail. Most all vehicles use a bucket, Venturi pump to keep it full providing the pump with un-aerated fuel to create volume. Without volume, you cannot generate pressure. For example; look at a boat propeller in the water. As it spins, it creates a vacuum on the leading edge of the blades. This generates bubbles reducing volume. Water can boil at room temperature in a given vacuum. The higher the vacuum, the more boiling occurs. Air cannot be compressed leading to a drop in pressure, while liquids can be compressed producing pressure. This is why pumps are placed inside the tank as this leads to vapor lock. In 1976 the Datsun 280Z & Cadillac Seville used electric fuel injectors. A helper pump inside the tank kept fuel of sufficient volume to a frame mounted fuel pump to eliminate vapor lock. I enjoy EFI and its attributes as the days of vapor lock are gone. But the parts inside the tank is more complex as a bucket is used, return fuel is dumped back into the bucket and most use a tiny amount of high pressure fuel to pass thru a Venturi at the buckets bottom. This fills it regardless of the tanks fuel level. But this requires a larger hole in the tank. Plus hanging a fuel level sending unit on the side and perhaps a thermistor that changes resistance once levels drop shown on the dash as a low fuel LED. Level and low fuel maybe displayed as 10 second samples to update the dash indicators. So turning a big loop onto or off an interstate does not turn on the low fuel lamp or starves the injectors causing a misfire. Misfire counters numbers were relaxed in 1997 after the service engine soon lamp came on. This leads to customer dissatisfaction and unnecessary dealer visits. Unfortunately the cost of tank technology is high as even venting via the cap was increased from 1 PSI to 2 PSI so hydrocarbons did not vent. Have you noticed changes to you portable fuel tank for your lawn equipment? Once again, low level smog as hydrocarbons and sunlight met at 10,000 feet. Even Indian encounters by Lewis & Clarke in current Oregon Were told that the area to the south was haunted by their grandfathers, grandfather by smoke from campfires and not considered to be used by Indians! They were describing Los Angeles because of its bowl like topography that held smoke from Spanish explorers. It's in the records from 200 years ago. ASE Master tech since 78

    Don't use a cutoff wheel or chop saw. It will fill the line with tiny metal and PTFE shavings. Use the loppers he shows, and then once you have frayed the stainless steel braid away from the PTFE liner, you can simply trim the pinched portion of the liner with a razor blade to get rid of the kinks.

    That wasn't actually very helpful. Perhaps making it clear that that was the official packing - if indeed it was, as it wasn't clear - and that was how it should be packed, but what about the specifics, such as the screws used, the lock nut, the lettering/engraving, etc. It's reminiscent of when I saw an expert in spotting counterfeit money being interviewed - he was asked if he had to examine a lot of counterfeit to spot it, his reply was he didn't look at counterfeit money, he just looked at a lot of genuine money. The point is, if one knows what to look for that makes something genuine, it doesn't matter how it deviated from that, as it is the fact that it's different that is the tell.

    @ Aeromotive . I’m currently installing an MPFI Terminator X setup with my supercharged sbc . I’m adding a flex fuel sensor to run both 93 pump and E-85. Dumb question. When you mention it allows you to read your ethanol content. What is doing the reading? Is the ECU reading this and is the premise that this allows a more accurate reading due to the extra reservoir allowing the computer to take better readings to adjust tune on ethanol content or is this a device for a manual reading ie, driver can quickly take a sampling from fuel to test? I’m confused. Apologies somewhat new to the flex fuel EFI on my hotrod. I know ethanol content varies at the pumps somewhat and I have buddies that will actually manually test at the pump, almost like a litmus paper type test to determine alcohol content therefore adjusting settings on their tune. I’d like to incorporate this in my install if it helps my Terminator X with GM flex fuel sensor to gain a more accurate reading.

      A flex fuel sensor measures the ethanol content of the fuel being used in the vehicle. The sensor allows the vehicle to operate up to an 85% of ethanol to gasoline blend. Your ECU or similar uses that data to adjust the timing and fuel quantity to be injected. The sensor has a pre calibrated signal that is sent to the ECU in the form of 0 - 5 volts. Having the the flex fuel sensor allows the ECU or engine management system to do the adjustments vs having to do it manually each time you fill up, or if you use a different source of fuel. We would recommend working with a tuner to get the proper parameters setup into your ECU.

    i have a welded sump stealth tank (18653) with a a1000 pump. the seal is broken and leaks fuel, and i can not figure out how it seals or how to repair it.. i can not find any information or schematic on how this pump assembles and seals. i understand that it is the old design. any help finding an exploded view diagram??

    I recently tried E85 for the very first time in a late model vehicle that could benefit from the performance advantages available from using E85 fuel. The increased performance was VERY noticeable and well worth the loss in fuel efficiency that’s associated with using E85. This flex fuel sensor adapter from Aeroflow would be a great addition to eliminate a common restriction found with factory fuel systems and deliver plenty of fuel when needed the most. It shows a genuine concern for the needs of your customers. I’m currently using your products on my 1970 Mustang Mach 1 powered by a highly modified 351 Cleveland engine that requires race fuel at the drag strip to satisfy the needs of its high compression design. I don’t think it would benefit from using E85 and unfortunately none of my other vehicles are designed to operate on methanol based fuels. The good news is that I’m currently considering the purchase of a new Mustang or a HEMI powered Chrysler vehicle. Either one would benefit from an upgraded fuel delivery system featuring Aeromotive products. I wouldn’t use anything less than the best and Aeromotive is the obvious choice for all types of fuel systems. I look forward to doing business very soon !

    My 900wheel fully built Boss Roadrunner Gen3r e85 motor had an FIC 1000cc injector fail me at 18k miles. The number 7 injector stuck open and flooded my motor which caused engine to Hydrolock and now i need rebuild. FIC told me they found microscopic metal and rubber in the injector when they cleaned it and the debris supposedly got stuck between needle and plunger and caused Injector to stick open and flood motor with e85..I took all the precautions and had 10 micron steel filter after the pump with new fresh e85 in tank every other day. Injector Dynamics told me after this happened to never use a steel mesh 10 micron post pump filter cause they tested them and the steel mesh doesn't catch anything 30 microns and smaller. So injector Dynamics said only to use a 10-12 micron microglass fuel filter..All these companies like Deatchwerks, Fore, Vmp still sell these stainless steel 10 micron post pump filters but Injector Dynamics said they are garbage and even though they claim to be 10 micron they are actually more like 30 micron plus. Sucks cause Deatchworks told me the stainless steel was ok to use but no one has actually tested them but Injector Dynamics. Injector Dynamics is without a doubt the best Injectors company around and the only company to actually test the stainless steel mesh 10 micron filter compared to 10 micron microglass. I am not blaming FIC but how come only 1 Injector supposedly got debris in it and the other 7 were clean. FIC said they cleaned the #7 injector and its fine now. I ain't taking a chance again with my expensive motor so ID1300'S are the only way to go. No idea what causes Injector to stick open after being perfect for 18k miles..Maybe the coil went bad inside #7 fic injector and coil went bad in open position causing motor to flood. Who the fck knows, but now I know why everyone making big power on e85 only use ID1300'S like you do. My 68 Mustang fuel injected 438windsor runs Microglass 10 micron post pump filter and never any injector problems after 5 years e85, and the fuel system on my 68 mustang like 10 years old. But my 1.5 year old vmp return style fuel system somehow causes debris to clog my #7 injector. .Bullshit man and now i have to rebuild motor. Whatever you do never use stainless steel 10 micron post filter cause they arent actually 10 micron but more like 30 plus micron. Only use Microglass 10-12 Micron post pump as Injector Dynamics recommends and you wont end up like me with stuck open injector causing motor to fail and Hydrolock. I still think it could of been fic injector just went bad aftet 18k miles too..But fic will never admit their injectors went bad cause it can ruin their business.

    I have had this for 3yrs running fine but now there seems to be fuel moisture on the pump itself. Still works fine but since its in the trunk of my right underneath my fuel cell, the car smells like fuel. Can you please tell me how to fix it or what is wrong with the unit?

    Does the production model 18313 have the orb fittings straight out of the top or 90 degrees? the instructions show straight and yours show 90.

    It's counter fitted because your prices are un real. And 3 out of 5 of these don't work correct. Yet you can buy a 30 ebay fake. Woks perfect

    Can you help me understand why this regulator want hold pressure with engine off key on. It's pressure is returned to tank. If I pinch return it holds fine

    So nice to see that there is still racing that has to manually change gears, really shows the skill that racing has and not just pushing a pedal to the floor like some of the tesla losers out there

      There isn't an automatic out there that could handle that HP. Why they use lencos mostly.
