    THE RHOMBIC DODECAHEDRON NESTS THE CUBE, THE RHOBIC DODECAHEDRON FITS INSIDE A HEXAGON & HEXAGRAM STAR, I LEARNED THIS FROM 4 SHASHIBO CUBES. THE REGULAR DODECAHEDRON DOESN’T FIT IN A NATURAL HEXAGON SHAPE.

    Thank you!! May I ask, is there any more sophisticate method for subdivision the tetrahedron into more of regular or irregular tetrahedrons? Or could there be only 24 maximum tetrahedrons from having 6 such dividing planes?

    Explicitly writing out t in that way might be a bit tedious. I think the following might work and save us from having to do that computation: Let r(x) = x + t(x-f(x)) with t > 0 such that ||r(x)||^2 = 1 (Note that this constraint fixes t). It follows that 1 = ||x||^2 + t^2||x-f(x)||^2, implying t = \sqrt{1-||x||}/|| x - f(x)||. Clearly r(x) is well defined continuous etc. If x is on the boundary of B^n then ||x|| = 1 and so t = 0 yielding r(x) = x. Therefore $r$ defines a retraction onto the boundary.

    This proof is wrong! the last equality isn't correct because you have 1/(n-k-1)! wich it's equal to (n-k)/(n-k)! not only to 1/(n-k)! so please be careful with the role as a teacher mr.

    And your point is / was, as not being in the text books ?! - My point being: I do not like textbook to video copiers, be original : I had to set play back speed to 1.75! and I still got bored. - Be so kind and stop making RUclips videos and go play with your dodecahedron-zillion-quadrilion models, make some new posters, or rewatch some of your British SciFi, like Blake's Seven. - Bye!
