Swim Review - Patrick Hawkes
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.21 день назад
Great to see your stroke again! Your cadence has improved significantly, with much better control and a constant pressure on the water-no more long glide or pause. Key Focus Areas: 1. Power Phase (Press Phase): When you reach the power phase under your body, you're dropping your elbow, which reduces your hold on the water. By keeping the forearm integrated with the hand, you'll increase the len...
Swimming Analysis - Lesley

In this swim analysis, we review Lesley’s stroke and highlight her strong progression since May, noting improved stability, better core engagement, and a more propulsive kick. Key Improvements: - Stability: Head wobble is gone, and your core is driving your hips to roll. - Kick: Much more propulsive, helping reduce resistance. - Left Arm: Your high elbow in the catch phase has minimized width i...
Swimming Analysis - Tom Hurst

In this swim analysis, we review Tom’s stroke, noting his good timing, productive kick, and strong setup after the catch phase. Elbow Drop: Tom’s elbow drops mid-stroke, causing him to lose water pressure. As his hand reaches shoulder level, he relaxes his elbow, letting his arm drift before finishing the stroke. To fix this, we’ll focus on keeping the elbow high to maintain water hold and impr...

In this swim analysis, we take a look at Jacqueline’s stroke, highlighting her flexibility, powerful kick, and room for improvement in posture, control, and speed. Posture: Jacqueline’s lower back curves as she enters the water, causing a twist and drop. To fix this, we’ll adjust her eyeline and chin position to align her spine. This will reduce drag and improve her body position. Twisting vs. ...

In this swim analysis, we dive into Patrick's impressive progress, showcasing the results of his dedicated training. His head position has improved, lifting his hips into alignment, and his elbow bend during the push phase is spot on, driving power through each stroke. However, there are still a few areas to focus on to refine his technique further: Catch Issue: We start by analyzing Patrick's ...
Swim Analysis - Cooper

In this swim analysis, we take a closer look at Cooper's stroke, which already shows great posture and horizontal alignment in the water. However, with a few key adjustments, we can further enhance his power and speed. The first focus is on Cooper's right-hand entry. While his hand enters the water in a good position, the issue arises during the glide, where he lifts his fingertips and drops hi...
Swim Analysis - Josh

In this swim analysis, we take a close look at Josh's stroke, which already shows powerful movement and an efficient kick. However, a few adjustments can make his stroke even more effective and help reduce unnecessary resistance. First, we focus on the resistance created in the front part of Josh's stroke. As Josh lifts his eyeline during hand entry, it impacts his body posture, causing pressur...
Swim Analysis - Iain

In this swim analysis, I review Iain's stroke, which already shows a strong body position and stability in the water. We focus on refining a few key areas to enhance power production, stroke length, and overall efficiency. First, we address elbow height from the catch to the setup phase. Iain's current straight-arm entry is causing a loss of momentum and added pressure on the legs to maintain b...

Which app do you use to mark the video?
Hello, for this clip it was produced in adobe Premiere Pro. There are some really good apps out there for putting together great feedback based on footage taken on the same device.
Listing all the muscles is no help with the timing which [I think] is what’s really the main issue for effective kicking - can you do one on timing?
😅❤
I'm not an expert by any means, but when I watch people swim like this (there are a lot of them at my pool) it seems to me they should really work on balance in the water. They seem to be fighting the water vs working with it.
Well, noticed the 'snaking' through the water right away. I was thinking that the swimmer was cranking his head around farther to the side to create a deeper well/trough to breath through. Wasn't sure if the cross over was the cause or not.
Thanks mate! 🫡
Handy little analysis! Thanks! 😁🏊🏻♀🥽
In free style after my hand enters the water my gonna try to do few Sculling motions with arm while pulling-the same motion as a falling leaf leaf🍃 Something like this ruclips.net/video/Hm2SbWU6Raw/видео.htmlsi=Ll98sSkBgrGKyZGf my aim is to have more ease in the water
They are not called flippers they are called fins
Excellent thank you!
content is great; but the background music is too loud that I needed to read the captions to understand what you were saying
Thank you so much for the feedback and I do apologise for this quality, I am very new to this and since making this one have upgraded sound recording equipment. I will get back to re-do this video.
😞 "PromoSM"
Same as usual 😂😢😮
Take a look at your right hand as you extend. You are putting on the brakes as you point your finger tips upward.
Thank you for the message Keith, great pick up on the palm leading on entry with high finger catch. We are currently working on a few hand entry drills with a snorkel on to help with this issue. hopefully next footage with this athlete we can see a great improvement.
i am subscribed, i will do my best to follow your instruction
Excellent thank you. Can you do more such videos - like the ones /drills on rotation n breathing, improving breathing techniques, kicking that can be done without flippers or snorkels but just a float kickboard/ or none at all.
Promo*SM 😍
Thanks for video! 👍
Thank you for the message.
