It ended mid sentence after almost 13 hours of listening and I have no idea how it ends or how he sets it up for the next book in the series. Looking at the comments this doesn't appear to have happened to others as most of you are raving about how good it is. I might be too but at the moment I'm pretty pissed off that I've wasted so much time and hope no one else does the same.
Yeah, I just found out what you're saying and can't find the rest of it either. Unbelievable.

I have been listening to this now for over 5 hours and been really enjoying it, however i recently decided to read the comments, and is it correct that the last few minutes are missing? Can anyone confirm this for me because if this is the case i will not be continuing with it (madness).
It was originally on cassette tape, so maybe that portion was damaged, they easily were.

Where's the other books? Now I'm left wanting the rest
Incredible writing and in narration
A great pity there is little fiction set in the hundreds year war. Such a visceral period in Europe's history.
Love BC. He used to have a dog named Gordon.
Can we agree that this series is one of the best BC has written, and Dr. mordecai has the best sense of humor amongst all BC'S characters? 😂😂
Before you start this book- the ending is missing. Just saying. I FOUND IT!! ruclips.net/video/IkdZ0KbfeC4/видео.htmlsi=V2xMY-pRIBxZyDki
Why was the last piece left off? Why post a incomplete ending without telling anyone? You post 12 hours and leave the end off. Was that a joke or would the rest not load?
Bernard Cornwell's writing and Sean Barrett's narration....winning combo....thanks for the upload.....
He wrote the last kingdom .so good
The narrator's voice and reading is superb!
Sean Barrett reads the East Hampshire phonebook is a CLASSIC!
He also narrated the Slough House books and did an amazing job on that series.

One criticism: Sir Simon Jeekyll? Why change it to something that doesn't sound as good, and isn't the correct pronunciation either??
Left hanging ! Where's the continuation ?
This is the last time I am posting this link to the last 5 minutes of this book but here it is one more time ppl- ruclips.net/video/IkdZ0KbfeC4/видео.htmlsi=V2xMY-pRIBxZyDki

I just finished this book and man I'm just in awe, exceptional book
Most of "The Saxon Stories", and the "Sharpe" series are free on RUclips too. Bernard Cornwell is always fantastic.
Where's the ending? It isn't on here.
Oh, I so wish you would post all of the books in Saga of the Seven Suns. I heard them about 2 years ago, and now I cannot find them... If you post them, even if you set it to "private" would you let me know?
There is no end.
No end
Excellent narration,well read

That which distinguishes Cornwell's narratives is not only the general historical accuracy of his accounts, but the unique ability the author has for uniting literary merit with his unadulterated descriptions of the filth, cruelty, inequality, barbarism, and vile stench of medieval warfare.
What is "historical accuracy", please? You weren't there. You don't know. Do you mean Cornwell accords with and does not depart from the established consensus? Was Richard III a hunchback? Was he actively demonised by the dynasty which ousted him. Can we be sure he was NOT a hunchback? You don't know. Nobody knows. Nobody will ever know. The greatest crime in studying history is to suppose that there is such a thing as "historical accuracy"..... imho.
I really like it. Gigantic story!!!!
I cant find the sequel 😫 ,,,, IT'S BRILLIANT.
The books are awesome. Somebody took all of the books down.
@@lourias thanks for the info. X
Sounds like Sean Barrett - is he the narrator?
Yes he is, great voice.
Thank you
50 minutes of very dry exposition what happened before just doesn't work for me to get into it. Maybe I should start with book 1 because this clearly doesn't work as a stand alone.
Oh gees people the books that are on here are free, to listen to if you don't like leaped for leapt or five minutes is missing deal with it. What the heck the alphabet was even different in that period, could you actually read the book if he had wrote the book in that alphabet. Get over it. I love listening to Bernard Cornwell books, and I will be the first one to say how ever it is pronounced, it beats me trying to read the names. I miss them up every time. Of course my children are still trying to explain to me wush is not the right way to pronounce wash. lol One for you all though google dictionary shows it pronounced both way one is Britain the wash is English.
Written.! If he had written, not wrote.
LOL!@@irenerafferty3786
I read these books 📚 while I was in prison they are awesome
Isn't he the writer who messed up the Dune prequels ?
Maybe, but this series is actually quite good..
I am finishing book 7 and I wholeheartedly regret having read the series. This was by far the worst reading experience in my life!
Usually takes me 3 chapters..

You're wrong.

Hmmm let’s see.. multiple alien races, robots with and without AI, starships with star drive fuel politics, storylines covering many planets both human and alien.. this isn’t even in a small part fantasy

Never read a bad book by Cornwall. He does his research and sells a good tale. Try the Shakespeare London mystery it’s a good break from his battle formula.
I think I've read that one. Does it have something to do with Chaucer?
@@stewartdalton3298. Shakespeare’s brother. As far as my memory serves. Really enjoyed it. Made a change :-)
