That's the old layout isn't it? I actually like it but many prefer opulence of far east airlines. I travel F soon on BA so interested to see if new layout on plane and the difference. Tbh I haven't flown F since they went from 14 to 8 either. In sale was £1500 each way LHR to JFK so that's competitive as Club wasn't noticeably cheaper

flew the a380 bos-lhr and lhr-sfo in, first last month and really enjoyed it. crews can be hit or miss on some airlines; i lucked out on both segments. the concorde room, to me, was nothing extraordinary; i felt unwelcomed and honestly hurried along, although still eating my food. lots of pretentious people treating employees within the various lounge areas like they were their personal servants. the arrivals dining upon landing at lhr was odd- there were five separate tables occupied; four after i arrived and i was blatantly the only one who was asked for my invitation to prove that i was allowed to dine in there. two employees were fawning over some guy who obviously flies ba often/kissing his***. - it was so cringe-worthy. boarding for both flights was a shit show- so disorganized, and when they allow families who need extra time to board, i found it comical at boston that a husband and wife pushed their way to the front with very grown children. heathrow boarding was chaotic, to sfo- the flight was delayed by two hours, and no one was on their game for boarding.

(It's a -200ER because BA doesn't have a -200LR)

British Airways doesn't have 777-200LRs, they have 777-200ERs

I'm old enough to remember when flying was fun and people were well dressed and looked clean. It's dishearting to buy a 1st class ticket and you end up in a cabin full of crummy looking people....great video..

The seat is well behind the competition but still at the top end of prices! I usually travel business class on BA to holiday destinations, so in one of BA's many 777-200s that are very nearly a quarter of a century old !! Again, well behind in terms of the seat but the cabin crew are nearly always very friendly. Maybe once my Avios and companion vouchers are all gone I will shop around??

This is a very outdated product, both on the 777 and A380. Thankfully it is being replaced on the 777 starting this year and on the A380 from next year. It is unfortunate that BA waited this long to update.

Nice video! The table is long because the seat is also fitted on the BA A380 in a slightly longer space and so the footwell has a certified 'buddy seat' (complete with seat belt) so that you can eat 'face to face' with a companion At least I think so! I've flown on the A380 and it's a nice (and rare) experience to eat on an aircraft as though you were in a restaurant!

Next time try Valley Wing.. very classy room. (Valley Wing room is cheaper than those in Marina Square area) I am currently staying in Valley Wing Deluxe Room 2 tier stand afternoon tea with champagne, breakfast with champagne (you get ala carte meal , instead of buffet meal.) evening cocktail. (they give you one rectangle plate with 5 pcs of hot snack only) If still hungry , in room dining with a lot of food items. Take note :Tenderloin steak Australia Angus - $100 plus cheaper option- buy buns from Shop House and eat in lobby area with big table..

I'd get a to go box of pastries from that cafe, go back to my room, take a nice warm shower, put on a plush robe... then sit in bed with fresh coffee and eat all the pastries, until I pass out from a sugar high! 🤗☕️🍰🎂🧁
