Can I give my goat red cell throughout the same day? He is very anemic.
Yes.
@@TheSouthernDrawReloaded thank you, I did notice improvement when I gave my goat more red cell throughout the day. But then I stopped because other people told me that it would kill him. Unfortunately he died yesterday. I feel like it would have been better giving him more redcell like I was doing, but I wasn't sure.
I flew one today... First time in my life flying a plane!! Been a plane enthusiast all my life and my friend im visiting in Florida surprised me with a flight. This was a beautiful butter smooth landing 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Get your license….you will enjoy it!
@@TheSouthernDrawReloaded honestly if I did not fly the plane that day I would have never convinced myself to go flying. This friend told me he was taking me somewhere else, I was visiting him. Turned out he took me to take a 25 minute flight and I almost backed out due to claustrophobia and being nervous to fly. I ended up sitting on the passenger side, the co-pilot seat that way I could keep the door open till the runway in case I wanted to back out. Turns out I ended up flying from the passenger side lol I absolutely loved it and would do it again! It wasn't even a flying lesson, it was just okay lift this then pull up when I motion. I already know a little due to always playing flight simulators lol
Thanks for the info, I'm glad I saw your video. I was planning on building a barn for the goats but the a frames would be way cheaper. How many goats do you run on that pasture with the A-frames? I'm in Kentucky and we can get some pretty rough weather.
I have 12 goats currently. I’ve had as many as 30. We get some harsh storms and these have held up fine.
You may want to redo this video.. Red cell can kill a goat... you are referring to B Vitamins when you say they can pee it out... You can overdose them on Iron AND selenium which CAN kill the goat if you aren't careful. You can google: Determining the efficacy of Red Cell® in combination with anthelmintics against1 gastrointestinal nematode parasitism in sheep and goats... There is a scientific paper showing results of a large number of experiments done showing that Red Cell had no effect when used... so now most of us are using Iron injections which you also have to be careful with... only given once every 4 days. Just trying to help any viewers out there that might give a boat load of Red Cell and kill their goat. :( Red cell is dosed at 6cc per 100 lbs, and over over 4 days.... IF you decide to use it. I'm not sure why anyone would want to though after these studies that show it doesn't have any benefit for goats.
Did bro really shoots a rocket
We’re thinking about getting some goats but our farm has a ton of small cedar trees. Do goats like cedar trees? If so is it good or bad for them?
Mine eat Cedar trees no problem.

Not a fact !!!!!!
Kinda mad bcs im using the same shi but its unfaced so it needs to be friction fitted into the slumlorded uneven crooked joists and its reading 130 inside.
So I can't wear long sleeves or id prolly have a heat stroke and the sweat makes the stuff in the air stuck to my skin
Enjoyed the informative video!
What about godzilla?
Amasing
Yessir. They will eat ALL...the cheese!
How many goats are you running??
12 adults and however many kids are born. P
Nice video
Great video. Quick question since I’m a newbie. Do you need to lock goats in a barn at night for their protection? If so what size shelter would u need for the night time situation? Maybe something like the larger shelter you showed at 5:48 but with a secure door?
I do not lock them in any type of structure at night. They usually sleep inside of something but they are free to come and go.
@@TheSouthernDrawReloadedThanks for the response. Is that only because you have a guard dog? I’m just curious if I get goats and I don’t have a guard dog do I need to close them into a structure at night to protect from coyotes?
You might recommend Bio Worma.
Hi there ! Awesome set up you have here! Where did you pick up all of your electric fence set up? Where do you think would be the cheapest and you have any good set up guides for this kind of electric fencing?
Tractor supply. Most of this will cost the same at any of the major retailers.
Best massage ever
Thanks
Looks like the glass frames are blocking the damn view
We use branches from oliva, an jobo trees to make a fence posts. Often these will sprout roots and grow to produce food for the goats. However, javilla is like candy for the goats. They love the leaves. These thorny trees need to be planted to grow. A vet recommended raspberry so I just got a few going. We'll see how the goats like them. Our soil is bad and most things were slow to grow untill I started using goat manure. I store it in an old bathtub and then put a gallon or so at the base of trees. The chickens spread it around. It makes a huge difference.
Its cute to see kids climbing on things but I avoid it all together. I don't want them learning to climb. They learn to do it and It just leads to problems.
Their goats 😂 excellent climbers
Its their nature bro, thats like saying i dont teach my children to walk because down the road it causes issues
@@christiskingfjb I agee with you. It's in their nature if they have the opportunity but I just don't give them anything to climb on and they don't miss it. I saw a cool video of a guy that made these scaffolding type bridges for his goats. They went up 2 stories. It looked awesome. If you're into it, go for it! 👍🐐
@@hicoteo i just love seeing them happy and feel safe when they are hi. I have huge boulders they are on all the time
Great advice. I'm in the Dominican Republic and we don't have access to a lot of things. We use tree branches for posts. In most cases they grow and produce food for the goats. I'm always envious of people with flat land. Its very difficult to buld a tight fence on hilly ground especially with mesh. Still, some good info here. Especially the way you did the corners. We have a saying, "one bad head ruins the herd." So, if you have one trouble maker the rest of the herd will follow. A well behaved queen keeps the others from challenging the fence.
Excellent advice. I made many mistakes. Firstly, under medicating. I didn't take worms seriously enough. Also, poor quality goats don't produce enough milk so you have to raise the kids and then you get attached to them.
Excellent video. Very clear. Deworm, Treatment for anemia, and prevention. Thanks
Can pallets be used for this? A frame?
That’s what I was thinking too
You have a tutorial on how to make the A frame for the goat?
Will make a video on that.
Very informative video!!
what area of the country are you in? I've got land in north east Texas that is mostly hardwood forest with LOTS of underbrush and id like to get some goats for land clearing and meat. Im hoping for a relatively cheap way to get into this
I’m in Alabama, but I think T posts and polywire would be a good way to get started cheap. I would section off small pieces at a time to put the max amount of pressure on the land at one time. That way you can also rotate less fencing material, doing small areas at a time vs the entire thing. I think a lot of people don’t view T posts as “temporary” but they’re a great way to have a sturdy fence that’s able to be removed relatively easy. Best of luck!
@@TheSouthernDrawReloaded what type of goats do you keep ? Ive got a couple dwarf Nigerians but need more. I’m wanting them for dairy and brush clearing. Do you ever sale any ? I’m just north of Mobile.
Try without the skin on
Is spray better or roll on ????
So here’s my thoughts on it..Getting runs in this is the biggest “issue”, they’re very hard to fix. That being said the spray is easier to prevent runs-Just do lighter coats but more of them. The roll on is more likely to have runs (just have to be careful and pay attention) but it’s a more durable service and much less prone to peeling. I’ve done both and I would say for vertical surfaces use the spray on but try to really get a thick coat on the second spray coat (careful not too thick to run). If you’re working with a horizontal surface, I’d use the roll on. Roll on = thicker (more durable imo) Spray = Easier to work with. Hope this helps, good luck!
I just used the spray and it dripped so much It ruined my tub 😩
I love the idea of the A-Frame. Can you provide any more details about how to build? I'm a novice builder, I assume you would build a rectangular base but then not sure about the top. Anything special I would need to know? I can figure out the sides.
Hi! Thanks for watching. Yeah I would start out with a rectangular base, and there’s going to be a few different ways of doing the sides. Probably the easiest thing to get an idea would be to google “A frame dog house plans” and go to images, that’ll give you a good idea. In these we basically treated it like roof trusses and has a board running down the center, attached it to the base, then cut angles at the top to attach the side board to the center board. Check out that google search tho and you’ll see a number of ways!
Thanks for the ideas!
Hope they help!
Thanks for posting this. Really great information!
Thanks for watching!
Planning to make a goat farm help needed I am interested milk and meat togeather Nubian interested in thanks
Best of luck! Watch all of our videos on goats
Thank you for the info. Question: how is Johnson grass for goats? I have Nubians.
We don’t have a ton of experience with Johnson grass. We mostly have different Bahia grasses and our winter grazing. All that to say I’ve always been surprised with what they’re happy eating and what all they will eat.
Solid practical advice.... point by point , well done done. Very helpful....
Seriously I didn’t know what my goats had and found it online but didn’t know what to give them and how much, I can’t thank you enough for this video.
My pleasure! Hope they have a quick recovery!
Well made video, very easy to understand tips. I'm in the networking phase and found a lot of good info. Only problem thus far is the quality goats. So many scammers and so few breeders. Looking in Carter county Kentucky area.
What did you kill/ spray your grass around your fence line with?
Omg that's a great idea why didn't I see it earlier an a fram is perfect if you use hinges 😮
Lazy pure lazy
