It's best to think of the Savoy Hotel bands as a "pool" of musicians especially around 1924-5. "I Like You Best Of All" was issued as the Savoy Havana Band but the front-line are musicians normally associated with the Orpheans. So, there is Vernon Ferry on trumpet, George Chaffin on trombone, and Herb Finney on sax (....and sarrusophone). The rhythm section could well be from the Havana and the piano sounds very much like Billy Mayerl and of course, Newt is there. The boys really rip through this one and Finney is on top form.
