Bridge of Sighs (a kind of instrumental cover)

Just noodling around with Trower's legendary riff from Bridge of Sighs. I've taken the liberty of giving it a twist, which means it's a shortened version with a Gilmour-esque kind of lead work - just for some gear testing and stuff. No commercial purposes whatsoever. Some of the gear used: Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro / Dimarzios Breed neck model (bridge position) PAF Pro (neck position) ESP LT...
Celestion Shootout - G12T vs V30 (Metal Mix)
Comparison between the famous Celestion Vintage 30 and the not so famous Marshall-branded Celestion G12T, taken from an old Marshall Valvestate combo. The G12T is similar to the current G12T100, but not exactly the same, according to Celestion. Playing through the ENGL Blackmore (Lo-gain Lead channel) and an Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro with a DiMarzio Breed neck in the bridge position (yeah, I...

I fell deeper and deeper as light now was gone I could feel the dark embrace my soul Agony was no more, and so was pain At this point of solitude I knew I was there There where I belong Thus far a long journey through my souls infinity It has been a journey far beyond mortality I have found what I wanted, tranquility I'll thrive on evil, eternally I flew over crystal ground My existence, numb Over orchards of grievance, sorrow and tears This beautiful silence calls me now Black fog devours me but I can see it all The monument of my past, this land of seven horizons before my eyes I reach the land of spiritual rest Its the dawn of descending I am the Somberlain down to evil divine domain Lord of infernal, gather my strength Carry me through the gates Its the dawn of descending I am the Somberlain down to evil divine domain For I'm eternal night I'm the Somberlain Precede my evil divine domain

Good Job mate! I'm going to learn some dimmu borgir! What Les Paul is that?
Thank you! That's my trusted Epiphone Custom Pro, fitted with a Duncan SH-6 in the bridge position. Workhorse of a guitar!

Fkn awesome cover, dude🤘 you nailed it.
Glad you enjoyed mate. Cheers!
Nice
That reverse time double kick tho.
Nice job dude!
brilliant cover man \m/ would be awesome if u could make the backing track with out the guitars available \m/
any chance you could make the backing track available for download man? (with out guitars) this is a great learning resource thanks so much for posting
Could you make a new version where you cover the entire song?
I'd have to re-record everything from scratch, basically. I no longer have the recorded audio files that I used, and recording new ones to add to what's already there would probably be a bad idea, as it would surely sound like two different sessions in the same song.
Awesome! Please cover full album!
It made me very hard,!!!!!!!!!!!!! excellent cover.
This is clearly a death metal song. No black metal at all
There's Death Metal here for sure, but I wouldn't say there's no Black Metal at all.
COF was always a Gothic, Death(later industrial) extreme metal band, the band was minimally BM.
(Lyrics) Spawned wanton like blight on an auspicious night Her eyes betrayed spells of the moon's eerie light A disquieting gaze forever ghosting far seas Bled white and dead, Her true mother was fed To the ravenous wolves that the elements led From crag-jagged mountains that seemingly grew in unease Through the maw of the woods, a black carriage was drawn Flanked by barbed lightning that hissed of the storm (Gilded in crests of Carpathian breed) Bringing slaves to the sodomite for the new-born On that eve when the Countess' own came deformed A tragedy crept to the name Bathory Elizabeth christened, no paler a rose Grew so dark as this sylph None more cold in repose Yet Her beauty spun webs Round hearts a glance would betroth She feared the light So when She fell like a sinner to vice Under austere, puritanical rule She sacrificed Mandragora like virgins to rats in the wall But after whipangels licked prisoners, thralled Never were Her dreams so maniacally cruel (And possessed of such delights) For ravens winged Her nightly flights Of erotica Half spurned from the pulpit Torments to occur Half learnt from the cabal of demons In Her Her walk went to voodoo To see Her own shadow adored At mass without flaw Though inwards She abhored Not Her coven of suitors But the stare of their Lord "I must avert mine eyes to hymns For His gaze brings dogmas to my skin He knows that I dreamt of carnal rites With Him undead for three long nights" Elizabeth listened No sermons intoned Dragged such guilt to Her door Tombed Her soul with such stone For She swore the Priest sighed When She knelt down to atone She feared the light So when She fell Like a sinner to vice Under austere, puritanical rule She sacrificed Her decorum as chaste To this wolf of the cloth Pouncing to haunt Her confessional box Forgiveness would come When Her sins were washed off By rebaptism in white The looking glass cast Belladonna wreaths 'Pon the grave of Her innocence Her hidden face spat murder From a whisper to a scream All sleep seemed cursed In Faustian verse But there in orgiastic Hell No horrors were worse Than the mirrored revelation The She kissed the Devil's phallus By Her own decree So with windows flung wide to the menstrual sky Solstice Eve She fled the castle in secret A daughter of the storm, astride Her favourite nightmare On winds without prayer Stigmata still wept between Her legs A cold bloodedness which impressed new hatreds She sought the Sorceress Through the snow and dank woods to the sodomite's lair Nine twisted fates threw hewn bone die For the throat of Elizabeth Damnation won and urged the moon In soliloquy to gleam Twixt the trees in shafts To ghost a path Past the howl of buggered nymphs In the sodomite's grasp To the forest's vulva Where the witch scholared Her In even darker themes "Amongst philtres and melissas Midst the grease of strangled men And eldritch truths, elder ill-omen Elizabeth came to life again" And under lacerations of dawn She returned Like a flame unto a deathshead With a promise to burn Secrets brooded as She rode Through mist and marsh to where they showed Her castle walls wherein the restless Counted carrion crows She awoke from a fable to mourning Church bells wringing Her madly from sleep Tolled by a priest, self castrated and hung Like a crimson bat 'neath the belfry The biblical prattled their mantras Hexes six-tripled their fees But Elizabeth laughed, thirteen Autumns had passed And She was a widow from god and His wrath, finally
Amazing, i cannot belive nobody else have liked and commented this video yet. But i suppose RUclips does not really like promoting covers that much.
It was uploaded very recently. I guess it's normal. I had a previous version of the song, which was actually doing pretty well feedback-wise, but I wanted to remix and remaster it. And thank you for the compliment, mate.
This is Majestic, wish you could make the entire album
I second that!!!
Amazing cover. Perfect execution, some modified parts giving your touch to the cover, and an amazing tone that are similar but not equal to the original music. (I love the tone of guitars of this album and this music specially) Now I have 3 version of this music to listen for the rest of my life! Thank you so much.
Editei meu comentário na parte "How I have" para "Now I have" Agora tenho 3 versões dessa musica pra escutar, a primeira original, a remaster e esse cover, todas pra mim estão no mesmo nível.
who made this track Instrumental as cover was it you Jaime Nôro?
I'm not sure I understand the question, but I'll try to answer anyway. I played the instruments (guitar and bass) and programmed drums, choirs and orchestrations. Then I mixed and mastered the whole thing. I hope you're not thinking that this has something to do with the original recording of Cruelty and the Beast. You wouldn't be the first to assume that, but I assure you, that's not my thing.
This album and Vempire are masterpieces .Barker and Stuart were the absolute geniuses behind them . Danis lyrics were also at their but his vocals were too heavy in the mix on this album
Completely agree on all counts! And I mean 100%!
Brandon Distel(ruclips.net/channel/UC2KnV7G8F9akUgDFq6QhmFg) the vocal on this release!!!!
good jobs!!!!
summer dying fast it will be well you do...
Awesome work! How did you create the choirs/Women voices?
Thank you! I programmed them on Guitar Pro, then changed the midi sound using some VST plugins on Cubase. Cheers!
I came here to listen to the remaster of Cruelty and the beast, but found this instead. Well done, and I mean, WELL DONE! This is just ridiculously accurate and deserves a lot more recognition. Cheers!
What a great compliment, dude. Cheers!
Altho I'm gettin bit older n prefer to hear these awesome riffs without all the abrasive shouting.still, gotta admit, this concept album flowd so well n the vocals/beats were so hypnotic that to this day it's one of the few shouty albums I can still listen to over n over (when I'm not wussing-out listening to classical 😄)
Yeah, I can understand that. These vocals can be hard on the ear. And in this case I do think they're mixed way too loud in the original album, which doesn't help. But from the creative point of view, yeah, it's a masterpiece. This one, Dusk and Vempire are all modern classics, imo.
More instrumental versions please. How about the remastered editions?
i love this album is a master piece!!! oustanding cover even withiout voice this song is so good!!!
Nocturnal pulse!!!
This is there maidein slash black metal era
FUCK YAH NICE
Very nice indeed! You were mentioning a project of some kind?
Indeed, man. All I need is a drummer willing to work from a distance who has the means to record his own stuff and then send it to me. Covers or originals. What do you think? Tell me what you'd like to do, what kind of sound, etc
@@JaimeNoro Well, I'd prefer originals.Something deathmetal-ish but with "freedom of speech" :D .Like Death or Ackercocke or something, doesn't have to sound like that but to have a wider approach to it.Also we can try and do some covers and see how that goes.
@@Sinister3345 Death and Ackercocke are pretty technical stuff ahah but I'm sure it could be done What about this kind of stuff? Old CoF style, with more death metal style riffs but also some fast black metal flavoured tremolo picking and atmospheric synths?
@@JaimeNoro I'm in! :D Death and Ackercocke came to mind cause they have more depth to their songs,I'd struggle to play their songs for sure though. But yea,I like your idea.
Awesome Work ! I Can hear Dani Scream, weird 🤣 but really excellent work.

Thank you, friend. Greetings from Portugal :)
Great job!
Very well done! \m/
Ah, the drums could be better... My other CoF version has better drums, although the overall sound is rawer (like the original was too). But yeah, I'm really proud of this one. Thank you for checking it out!
Awesome 🤘🏻
Thank you. Loved your appearance in the Mandalorian!
