In my opinion, Ed was one of the greatest jazz guitarists in history. He had an unbelievable harmonic sense and tone to die for, despite playing a Tele. His playing is immediately recognizable. Unfortunately, he didn't receive the recognition of some of the other greats because he largely stayed in Canada. I was fortunate to see him play live many times when I lived in T.O. , and he always amazed.
