Notice how only Hilda said the last three lines of The Lord’s Prayer?
This is proper coronation street with well written gritty realistic characters played wonderfully talented actors. The golden age of Corrie today it's a pale shadow of it's former self...
Alan seemed like a really nice man with a fascinating life story. I could listen to him all day. Thank you for this video.
"Oh, uh, me flakes... then, uh, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, toast, coffee; marmalade, I like marmalade. Yes, porridge is nice. Any cereal, like all cereal. Oh God."
❤
RIP, he seemed like a nice man
yes the marmalade don't forget the marmalade .. seemed like a very nice person, great interview.. rip Alan
Where is it???😊
Hi Mike!. I hope you get to see this message. I still have the rehearsal tape. Big Hug M8 ☮💜 Nick 🥁
RIP Alan, what's up Dan? Miss you bro, hope life is treating you good man.
Nice fella.
He was. He really was. One time I ran into him in Sausalito and we were chatting away and I was complaining about may lack of work and consequent shortage of money and he actually offered to lend ME some money! - An elderly chap living on social security on a leaky boat illegally moored in the bay ... and he was concerned about me being broke.
@@jonfelix4883 Oh my gosh. Even more wonderful than I thought he was! Thanks for sharing that sweet story.
Wheres irma
Wow that's a lovely story and a lovely life
Ya telling me Stans dead 😭
The older you are, the longer you laugh when you see 'it'.
Blimey! I quite fancy myself. ;-)
and who could blame you?!
Well... quite.
Breakfast in Los Angeles, macrobiotic stuff
Electrical stuff..... I can't be bothered with that. LOL
And RIP Jean Alexander.
RIP Bernard Youens.😢😢😢
Marmalade, I like Marmalade.
Right on! Found the rest of what Alan said on his eponymous track: ("Oh..uh..me flakes... scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, coffee marmelade..I like marmelade... pourridge..any cereal, I like all cereals...oh god...") ("Breakfast in Los Angeles, macrobiotic stuff...") Driving to the gig. All that electrical suff I can't be bothered with that it's so fiddley. Oh god..... RIP, Alan. btw...have you had the privilege of listening to the only known recording of Pink Floyd performing that song live, 22DEC1970 at Sheffield, England. It's a bit distant of a recording, but the boys are in top form throughout the entire gig.
Yeah I like ad enjoy all british prog music, since Beatles to Genesis, Yes, Crimson, Floyd, mainly. I like Steven Wilson, too.
marmalade? I love marmalade...
NO, NO, NOOOOOOO!. Putting this poem to bad music only robs it of its emotional power! God god!!
What a nice bloke.
He really was. Very much loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
I remember Alan back in Cambridge in the 60s (he had a brief fling with the lady who later became my wife...). He was a good guy, always looking like a movie star as he sipped his drink in the Criterion pub. Ah, those were the days...
Hi there, I'm currently producing a short documentary about Alan, we're trying to find out more about him and would love to speak to anyone who ever knew him, perhaps yourself or your wife? Please let me know if you'd be willing to speak to us at all, you can reach me on lowriroberts@btinternet.com. Would be great to hear from you. Thanks, Lowri
haha no way this was my Dads best mate Mike from back in London.
Hi Jack. I was drummer for Mike..... do you know where can I find him?....
Jeff - it's a beach for goodness sake! Resources are sand and water. That's it!
Beautiful. One of my favorite poems ever.
As you can see from the video, the HUMANS are having as much fun as the dogs! The human/canine bond is proven to improve the health and well-being of people and get them out into nature. Since 40% of the population owns dogs, and taking them to the beach is a valid and beneficial recreational use, a fair distribution would be for about 40% of the beaches to be dog-friendly. I think right now, only about 1% of the GGNRA beaches are pet-friendly. More space should be made dog-friendly.
I really don't think it is a love hate thing with GGNRA but rather a National Park issue with protection of resources. Many in the Park service have and love dogs but have a far larger role to play as stewards of this glorious area and keeping it open and viable for all who chose to visit and enjoy...not just a portion who may have their own thoughts of Park use. --Jeff
beautiful job...love this poem, great for remembering our Sacha...THANX!
rip alan
I agree, Alans Psychedelic Breakfast is really the only song i can listen to on atom heart mother, the others are okay but APB is just amazing, the middle part with just gilmour overdubbing guitars is really nice and relaxing, and the jam part at the end is really special. I feel there will never be a song like APB.
I love APB, an unappreciated classic, but I like most of AHM, especially all the other songs except the title track. I like the title track as well, but for some reason, I much prefer the live versions that feature only the band without the orchestra and choir.
Many thanks to Jon for making this great video about my Uncle Alan Styles. Also thanks to David Gilmour,Nick Mason and one fifteen management in giving us permission to use PF music
Hi Neill, I'm producing a short documentary about your Uncle Alan and would love to get in touch to find out more about him. Please let me know if you'd be interested in speaking to us. You can reach me on lowriroberts@btinternet.com. It would be great to have you on board! Thanks, Lowri
That really was generous of the band, totally befitting their faithful roadie.
i luv you
WOW! I love it. Great job Sarah! Can I post this on Facebook?
Nice one Jon! Haven't seen this since god knows when! Get that driver sorted for the Blackmagic card and get to work on Handmade!! =:~)
