I dunno... maybe they have improved, but just a few years back, while waiting on a full-service wash, I watched as one employee applied wax to a car very hurriedly with a buffer, while another wiped it off with towels. What was scary was that he was buffing on the wax over dirt that had not been removed through the car wash... the Proverbial 40-grit Sand paper effect ! I have not taken my car back since.
