XP Deus 2 Transmit Frequencies in Freq Max 40
Просмотров 4113 месяца назад
Final video on the actual transmit frequencies of the XP Deus 2. In summary: The Deus 2 transmits two frequencies and they are identical through all the programs when the Freq max setting is the same. While in 40 max, the Deus 2 transmits two frequencies, 7.5 and 38 kHz.
XP Deus 2 Frequencies in Freq Max 24

Second video demonstrating the transmit frequencies of the XP Deus 2 with the 24 max option selected. Yet again we can see two unique frequencies being transmitted. Also learned that two of the transmit frequencies (one from max 14 and one from max 24) are available in the single frequency option too. Surprising, 14 and 24 max have some similarities but all change when using the 40 max option w...

Rigol DS1054Z measures the transmit frequencies of the XP Deus 2 while in Freq Max 14. Transmitting both 4.4kHz and 13.4kHz in each of the different programs. There is so much going on with this detector. To be explored at a later date if there is an interest, are the very interesting transmit frequencies when changing between the different Freq max settings. Even more surprises when changing t...

Reduce sensitivity to hunt the high EMI areas. Listen for the audio, then turn the machine back up to check the target. This procedure will work equally well on all detectors. Please note I stated the wrong coil size in the video.

My conclusion is that they are 2 frequencies only😂 now explain why the most of the time hits only high conductive targets. The main frequency is 7.5khz
Interesting point, but try this if you have a test garden. If not bury a nickel at 6" deep and listen to the difference between the different program choices, 40 max always gives a louder audio report on low conductors. All in the internal programming. Still a great detector to me. Actually the best I've ever owned.
@markg6836 yes, it's a good machine! I as detectorist I don't care of nickel targets. I know, it low conductor but is not a gold. For some reason is concentrated ot nickels, brass silver alloys. I am thinking that this detector maybe masking the gold. If you find a gold, it's a luck and perfect conditions of the groud, and the gold wasn't near Iron. By the way, before 1 year after full 1 year of underwater beach hunting I found a gold ring with 1.1 version under a stone 5cm underground and this ring soud mixed iron/colorful signal... If that ring it was 5 cm deep I think that will be masked as iron. From downgrading to 0.71, it can found gold on good depth only on sand beaches. It soud also litle bit similar. It have some iron buzz with the tone.
I have a question Mark. I know they advertise these detectors as “simultaneous multi frequency”, however, are the two different frequencies actually being transmitted at the same time, or alternately?
Unfortunately there is an extremely small time difference between the two frequencies but we humans can't sense the difference. But a scope can capture and plot a millisecond easily. However the Deus is still a very good detector.
@@markg6836 Thanks Mark! I was just curious. I love my Deus II
Very useful information, thank you!
Excellent, thanks 👍
Thanks Mark this is very educational for those who want to learn more about how their detectors actually work. With this 40 max test did you check what the frequency shift was set at for each program? I suspect it was 3, the factory default. Otherwise it would have been 40 kHz instead of 38 right? Your other video (excellent!) on frequency shift explains that…
Excellent! It demonstrates with a measuring instrument just exactly what's going on there. It would seem to me that the lower shift levels would be more stable than the higher in mineralized soils. It also demonstrates that "Frequency Max 40" really means "Potentially Max 40". I like having the ability to adjust that. Thank you.
Useful and nice information from you. Do you also have a note on the shift frequency, what indications does the deus2 give also in the 1,2,3,4,5 setting as well? Same question for the max frequency of 14 and 24 kHz? (Shift 1,2,3,4,5,6) Thank you very much for the very good technical analysis
I have analyzed the frequency max 14 and 24 but the frequency ranges are not as wide as the 40 max but they are different.
@@markg6836 thank you 🖖
Would love to see this on the Manticore.
Hey Mark are you going to do a manticore? Thanks
Awsome work! hope you do Manticore also soon!
please do these tests on Rutus Versa😀
Unfortunately I don't have access to the Versa at this time.
Another follower here, been really wanting this to figure out what is going on.
Glad I could help
Great information Mark, please continue your testing!
Is there a change in signal strength in different programs? Why program 6 is your favorite. Is the mono program stronger?
To answer your questions: Never studied the signal strength question. Now program 6 was the program I was hunting in when my oldest silver coins were found. Since that day I've not had one program outperform the other if the setting were the same. Now I'm sure there is a lot going on with the receiving signal that we'll never know. Some of the mono frequencies appear to have higher signal amplitude.
It would be interesting if you check what happens in multi when freq shift 0-6 at any max frequency...say 40 .
Exactly!!! 💯!! This is what another RUclipsr is testing watch TN sharpshooter videos....very very interesting...
All fundamentals get shifted. I only did some rudimentary tests early this year - mainly to check, whether it is possible to pick up the frequencies with a simple microphone + Audio analyser. As you can see, it works suprisingly good. ruclips.net/video/ZP0qW7Hw8kE/видео.html
That analysis is in the making and should post the results soon.
So can you verify that, it looked like when you went from 0 to 6 the wave form was more compressed. Thanks for sharing.
Yes I can
Thanks
800 is still the best been using mine 6 years got manticore 5 months still doesn't impress me very erratic hot machine jumpy
TnSharpshooter has a bunch of video up on where Freq Shift on any of the programs changes how the D2 detects. It would be nice to see what changes in frequencies.
I'd love to see this on the Manticore
I wonder what the frequencies look like if you do manual frequency shifts.
Exactly....TN sharpshooter been doing some testing on this because of the 7,8,and 9 issues....
Yep I was thinking the same thing. These 2 guys should get together
Mark did you ever try the whites v3i , it showed 3 frequency, just curious, thanks for your work . Looking forward to the manticore testing
I bet channel 0 is 38khz and 6 is 40khz
Thank You. Nice Video.
You should point out that the trash has a different sound than the rings. To me trash has a whistle quality to it while rings sound solid. Clive's Equinox books are worth reading.
Bipolar pulse?
What coil is being tested?
9" coil
But why is he transmitting 2 frequencies?
They all do....even the Manticore....
What is the difference between xp 1-&-2 in regards to frequency? Would it be possible to bring the elliptical coil to the xp2?
Sorry I don't have the original Deus to compare it to the Deus 2. But the original Deus only transmitted one frequency.
@@markg6836 Thanks, the only thing I have found to be lacking is no elliptical coil for the Xp deus 2
Hey, so is it running Version 2.0? Thought some guys were saying with 2.0, the D2 was running 3 frequencies in Multi. I've noticed the D2 is not as sensitive to small gold in Beach Sensitive as the Equinox is in Beach 1. The Legend is no better in Beach Multi Wet mode, probably worse.
Yes, version 2.
Thanks Mark.
Would a Fisher CZ3D show a similar result ?
Unfortunately I can't answer the question. If I had access to the cz3d I would surly post the results. Thanks
I didn’t think any of the MF detectors put out more than 2-3 at one time. Can you test a Minelab, perhaps the Manticore? Also, doesn’t the frequency change based on ground or target differences?
I've checked the Manticore and could see 3 frequencies but didn't have time analyze because it belonged to another guy. Hope at a later date to borrow the Manticore and do a more precise test. I have also tested several targets while having the Deus on the scope and couldn't see a change in the transmit frequency or voltage amplitude.
@@markg6836 Thanks, that’s interesting. I look forward to the next video with your discoveries. 👍
Hi, but if you ll choose a channel 5 or 6th in frequency scan menu manually, would it be higher?
@@hihikaloYes, the higher the shift number the greater the difference between the low/high frequency being transmitted.
Thank you Mark. All the best from me in UK.
Really interesting. Thank you. Subscribed.
Thanks for this interesting video. You promised and you definitely delivered!! If you don't mind me asking, how do you like the Deus 2 in general? Is it worth the price tag on it?
The Deus 2 with the smaller coil is a very good performer.
Interesting indeed. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, What probe did you use please?
The probe that comes with the Rigol scope, attached to a small inductive receiver coil
@@markg6836 Ahh thank you Mark
Hi, nice movie and test. Can you please also mention the power of V(how mutch of volts the F75 LTD operate with)?

How can I access the XY graphic? I don't see the "Advanced" setting in the options...

Hat jemand eine Bedienungsanleitung?
7 months later how is this machine going for you ? Thankyou for your show
Unfortunately I had to return the detector to the owner after 3 months, as agreed upon. I was just starting to really understand its language and can say it hunts very well in the coal waste areas where I live. But I can say I really appreciate the guy loaning the detector for that long.
I own the White's Spectra V3i, and the Minelab Equinox 800 which would be the best to 'cherry pick' gold rings? Is there a program you have for these 2 metal detectors? Thanks for the video.
I basically use the stock programs on both machines. In heavy trash areas the Equinox is my go to machine for rings.
Nice😊
A small loop
What are you using as an antenna? Are you using a loop?
I suspect the FFT waveform was mainly showing the harmonics since it is basically a square wave. It only uses one frequency, and that is based on the time between transmit pulses. You can vary that frequency slightly with the settings.
I would be interested to seeing you run this on an X-Terra pro on beach mode as many say it's running more than one? www.youtube.com/@kensmetaldetectingfinds
I can only conclude from this that you simply have to dig everything as there is no way to tel jewelry from junk.
Two important things on any jewelry number one good repeatable audio for Way then, if the target ID lock sound, and refuses to move that she usually a good sign
Didn't get the chance to analyze the V3i. Just thought it was fun to analyze something beside just a beep.
What about spectra v3i?
