    What’s the approximate installation time for a kit such as this?

    • @acsolutionsco
      @acsolutionsco 2 дня назад

      For DIY enthusiasts (at home on jack stands) we would budget 5-8 hours depending on the number of "while you're in there" items!

      For the M42-based E30, we are still working on launching a full kit this; however, we did find that during our testing the factory Denso setup was more than adequate when running R134a as these are very similar to the E36-era A/C compressors that are quite robust. We would recommend using our A/C Solutions BMW E30 R134a Retrofit Kit (82319067394) in conjunction with our CSF parallel flow condenser, interior lines, expansion valve filter drier, pressure switches, etc. (all available on our site). The only key items that we don't offer are the 2 lines going to/from the compressor. If you have any other questions, please send us a message!

    In this video you convert the Late Model drier pressure switch to an early one. Is that still needed if we select the 09/89 or later kit on the website? Or can we keep the same wiring and put in a new Late Model Pressure Switch 64538390971?

    • @acsolutionsco
      @acsolutionsco Месяц назад

      Great question! We have since revised a majority of components in this kit so if you were to select the ≥ 09/89 option, it will come with the late model safety switch (64538390971). Pre 09/89 models will ship with the early model drier and use the high-pressure cut off switch (64531386971).

      @@acsolutionsco Thanks for the quick reply. So just to clarify, when I order the "BMW E30 Complete Conversion Kit" for "325i ≥ 09/89" it will come with the Late Model Safety Switch (64538390971)? I don't see that mentioned in the description of What's in the box so I was going to add it separately to my cart.

    This is an awesome video, I plan on purchasing a kit for my E30 shortly, just have a few questions prior.. 1. I live in Australia and have a RHD E30, so I will need to reuse my interior lines, but still replace both ends of the interior lines with new Oring seals? 2. What is involved in flushing the old interior lines? Can this be done in the car before new parts are installed? 3. Once kit is installed can I drive the car to AC shop ungassed? Just don’t want to damage the system.. 4. Can a shop do the vaccum test prior to regassing the system? I’m confident in the install based on this video, but just want to make sure it’s something I can do at home myself or if I should be paying a shop to complete it all.

    • @acsolutionsco
      @acsolutionsco 7 месяцев назад

      Great questions! Feel free to email us at info@acsolutions.co for further inquires! 1. Yes, we only carry the LHD interior lines currently, but all of our E30 kits come with the interior o-rings 2. Flushing the old lines can be done with any off-the-shelf a/c flush (or by your local a/c shop). This is highly recommended for any reused parts and should always be done before installation. 3. Yes! As long as the compressor is not engaged during the drive, it will spin freely on the clutch pulley. 4. Yes - it is imperative that the system is vacuumed and pressure tested prior to charging. Any a/c shop will be able to help you with this process.

    • @acsolutionsco
      @acsolutionsco 10 месяцев назад

      Not a dumb question at all! Our products are designed for cars that came with A/C from the factory, so you will need the interior HVAC console, evaporator, factory wiring harness, and the drier return line (long metal line) along with a few other small brackets highlighted in the video that are reused during installation.

      This is on our roadmap; however, we have a few other projects in the mix first! If your car has a working factory Denso compressor, we'd recommend purchasing one of our service kits along with a new condenser and expansion valve and having the system professionally charged.

I'm in Houston and last night after charing it up I went out in 87 degrees and 77% humidity -- outlet temp driving was 40 degrees!! It works great! I have the entire kit in a box waiting to be installed while I address other things. I noticed some of the hoses came with open ends, and I'm aware all the system components have to be cleaned/flushed. I'll be doing the install myself, how would you recommend I clean each part of the system? It would be extra cool if the components all came clean and sealed on both ends somehow.
