My one comment and criticism of Hollywood is that they should make entertainment for AUDIENCES. Chasing the phantom "modern audience" tells me it most likely will suck. I'll never ruin one of my all time favorite movies by watching the remake.

Part One is only the first half of a book, so no wonder it left some viewers frustrated. Like most stories, however, the second half is much more satisfying.

This movie was from the comic book The Crow Wild Justice. This was a different Crow story. It is a different Crow story.

I'm a bit disappointed that the clock weights and the clock pendulum are just fake ornaments hanging from hooks. For that price I expected them to be actual functioning parts of the clock.😐

I loved the movie. It's sad that its not hitting for some people. I do also think there are a lot of people who have been out to get this movie since it was announced though because "Brandon Lee's legacy" My biggest complaints and I don't have many is that the soundtrack while good, is misused in certain places it feels. I would've like to have seen more out of Roeg' as a villain. I would've preferred the transformation into the Crow maybe 20 minutes earlier. The biggest complaint though was the purgatory guy with all of his exposition. I didn't need him to tell me that Eric feels pain and can't die because that was very obvious from watching the film already. Other than that I really really enjoyed the film and am sad to see it get a lot of hate I don't think it deserves.

This movie didn't really have much to do about either the OG or sequels or even the graphic novel. I guess fleshing out the characters seems alright but it felt rushed, like they meet and fell in love and all of a sudden he's willing to die and kill for her?

If they had made it about another crow it would have been decent

Just go into the movie and enjoy it as a crow movie, please! Jesus! That’s the problem I’m seeing with all these reviews! You’re comparing it to something it can’t be compared to. Just watch the movie and enjoy it! I know I’m going into this movie today and I’m going to enjoy it as a fan of The Crow. I’m not comparing it to the original or anything else! I’m just watching it as a fan. I love anything that has to do with The Crow, I loved the original, I loved the sequels and I’m going to love this remake.

Good review. I really appreciate the fact that you reviewed the movie you watched and did not fall into the "wHO AsKEd fOr tHiS????" attitude that so many others adopt. Nobody gets to ask for art. And having source material that can be adapted is going to make people try to make something new out of it. So I dig the fact that you really seem to have watched it from that perspective. Good stuff. Also, fwiw, I'm an old crapper and was in college when the original came out. I am really fascinated by the fact that the to my recollection it was not a big deal at all back then, other than the awful tragedy that befell Brandon Lee. It's cool to see people embrace a movie that was not embraced at the time.

It's an attempt at the OG gothic masterpiece except it's created by Hot Topic.

One word to describe this movie; Why? Like Why? If you gonna reimagine/remake The Crow, why make it a generic ultra violence action film? The original was never known for its action, it was known for the look, the soundtrack, Brandon Lee's acting, the dialogue and memorable lines, the emotional feel of the movie, the night, the rain, and of course the push for the goth movement. The comic book is violent, but it still had style, had a dark noir look to it. This movie looks like generic action movie # 254, which will be forgotten within a year.

I was excited when I heard the cast but the 1st trailer came out I knew, when it’s free I’ll watch. Maybe I’m bias but nothing will ever be as good as OG 🤷🏻‍♂️
