I love how you almost said Josh instead of Ricky when you said he was mesmerized. I honestly think Josh was a little mesmerized too I mean, who wouldn’t be 😭 she’s gorg and really is turned on in this number lol. I watched a bunch of their interviews together and he really adores her. He speaks so highly of her. It’s so cute. Their friendship is adorable and they definitely have chemistry. Maybe they’ll turn out to be like Tom/Zendaya😂 because they would be so cute together. I also love this whole cast so much, they have brought me so much joy from watching the show and you can see how much they all love each other.

There's a childhood fav show of mine called The Next Step. It's a dance/drama kids show, currently waiting for a 9th season confirmation. I've been watching it since i was 10 (i'm 20 now) and i'm currently rewatching it - noticing a lot of references to hsmtmts even though it came out before. i'd say it's a longer series where the music is dancing instead. Literally bawled my eyes out when Gina was speaking to everyone because of similar experiences ;-; If I had never joined Orchestra in school growing up, I would have never met the amazing friends I have today and that's what got me. I hope art programs in school like Music, Drama and art continue to stay and flourish (because music programs are slowly decreasing sadly) because it's truly one of the only places that I could call a second home! I never really paid attention to it before but what watching your reaction got me to thinking about how Gina’s mom never sitting down, directly related to her mom never being able to provide stability. Her mother was always coming and going. Where as her family at East High has always been there for her.

gina never told ricky she loved him, she told him she wouldn't quit on them if she wasn't moving away. definitely a confession of her romantic feelings from her side (tho it's debatable how much ricky understood what she was saying bc from last ep we know he never thought gina could feel the same way about him as he did for her) but yeah not a direct love confession. u might have it confused with her confessional in 4x04 when she accidentally says she loves ricky and asks them to cut
