I am also trying out orvar IRL on commander nights in LGS. SOmething I noticed is to NOT play Orvar unless 3 conditions are met : 1. I have counter magic in hand, to protect Orvar on stack, or on battlefield 2. I have in play something to copy with Orvar (artifact, creature, etc) 3. I have somethinh in hand to target permament from #2 with. This way, I can get my Orvar online and at least get some value out of him.

Sauron is the bomb. He's way stronger in Commander just because removal isn't as guaranteed, but still really cool in Brawl. I'd like to see you build him outside of control and see how he does. Cool video! Thanks, man! 👍

the biggest group slug is a bad attitude

people dont like cards like obliterate but play combo decks that win fast and boring. Whatever i use obliterate on my rakdos slug deck, i use armageddon and whatever i have to, people just cry about anything. Plus Obliterate is a win con, blow everything up, you stay with enchantments that will drain everyone slowly. So either they concede on the spot or well die slowly. Same as a combo, win on the spot.

Even better if you run it Black/White because then you can throw in Bolas Citadel. The deck I've been running for a while now uses Bolas Citadel, Fall of the Thran and Tormod's Crypt.

maybe youve considered it, but I love Open The Way in my Zaxara deck. gets the lands to field right away too for the triggers. might be limited a bit because you cant just put as much mana as you want into it though.
