I have been flying the DA-62 for 2 years for an owner. It is very high tech and easy for single pilot IFR but this plane is a maintenance nightmare. It has been down repeatedly for small and major issues including the gear not extending (on a very low hour aircraft) resulting in expensive damage. They aren’t fast. They are not roomy. I’d take a Seneca V any day over it

Also, in the 20 secs that I watched, you said this is the undoubtedly the sport utility vehicle of the sky - the DA62 is a great aircraft, but it's not comparable to an SUV. It doesn't really do dirt strips, it isn't at all made for the backcountry, and it doesn't haul much weight or cargo. So even that comparison is not apt.

Vaporware unsubstantiated by actual tests. Every single performance claim is "calculated"-- not empirical. And every single economic claim is based on the made-up performance claims. But Elon Musk has proved that this is a viable business model-- he announced that Full Self Driving would be delivered in 2016, and in 2017, and in 2018,..., etc. It's still just one year away, and the suckers are still giving him their cash.

Is it just me who thinks this is a scam? No way it has performance that good. Think about it a Piaggio Avanti which is very aerodynamic and a pusher propeller configuration doesn't get this kind of performance, and they are at it for 40 years, wouldn't you imagine they would have at least made drastic improvement's if that was possible by now? The only way this can get that kind of performance and range is if it's a pretty much an empty shell with lots of fuel flying in very good conditions !

As far as green house gasses, we currently have 0.004% of the atmosphere comprised of CO2, at exactly half that amount 0.002% CO2, every living plant on the planet dies, has anybody bothered to think about that? Electric motors are so efficient, as soon as the technology matures, everybody will switch to electric as fast as it is practical in their individual situation. Just sayin!
