20 Altoids Survival Tin/Kit Items In A Wallet ? The ULTIMATE EDC WALLET!
Had mine about 2 years but the 4 button has stopped working so I can’t prime the alarm. Any ideas? Alan
only to replace it I suggest.
bro no one´s judging you for eating toblerone, u a g for that, nice review. gonna buy one rn
I’ve moved into a house which has one in the shed. The batteries have gone. I don’t have instructions, before I spend hours searching on the net. Is there a way of resetting the pin so I can use it?
Needs a seperate sounder box that can be plugged inside the house
Thanks, helpful
if the sounder goes off will the alarm reset itself if no further motion is detected ?
Good video on the swiss cards cowboy col , I bought a red card but haven't received it yet , looks like a excellent backup with necessary tools, I use the scissors for my moustache with the swiss army knife so the card one will see some use
I've been using my Squirt PS4 for 13 years. I use it a lot for one thing or another--pliers, screwdrivers and files the most. Looks a little beat up, but other than that, it's still going strong. Paid $20 on Amazon. Too bad Leatherman discontinued them
I wish they'd bring the Squirt back. I don't like the Micra, and sadly the Gerber Dime is poorly made
Great alarm very Ioud will hear if anyone enters my shed. 👌
Took mine back for a refund - nothing to indicate that its actually armed and a tendancy for it not to arm when you press "4" means that it was hit or miss whether it was actually armed when we left. Stuck a cheap £20 camera in the garage (Luckilly we have power in there) instead with a notification to my phone if it detects movement - found it far better than this - and I can check its armed over the internet so no more worrying that its not working.
Can i ask which camera you are talking about please, sounds like a very good idea
@@stevehodges854 Using a NEOS one at the moment, no subscription needed for the motion and sound alerts, not 100% ideal but better than something that just doesnt work!
Very easy to disarm or switch off by robbers.
Depends on its location @severodalmal6090.
I can definitely see this as being useful for camping or other outdoor activities. Thanks for the review.
I can definitely see them being useful
Thanks Michael. I have 3 I use in the house every night..... They are brilliant
I agree, people sometimes carry WAY to much on the their key chains, lol. That Swisstec key thing definitely looks useful, I’ll have to check it out, thank you. +1 on the light too, have used them and they are excellent
Available from Aliexpress
I’ve been keeping a safety pin on my watch band. Amazingly easy to integrate… so much I forget I have it sometimes. :)
Can you boil water in it?
...... it's plastic. So no
@@adventureswithcowboycol you can do it with other plastic bags.... some are better than others. Look it up on YT.
@@alimfuzzy You possibly could if you were desperate, but they are rather thin, and considering the emergency scenario one would use them in...Probably not the best idea. Stick with a cloth to filter out debris, a filter straw, and/or purification tablets. If you were really pressed to boil the water inside. Perhaps using a stone boiling technique where you put hot stones in the bag filled with water.
Where can I purchase such a properly working and good condition glass bottle vending machine in Japan?
Thanks
Thank you for the demonstration of those bags.
At my grocery store I grab the fruit plastic bag. It can be folded up really small. The plastic bag can hold a gallon of water, or can hold fruit if you come across a fruit tree's, wild berry bushes, or what ever you need to hold something in a plastic bag.
Great idea. !
I like your take on the tin kit
I’m amazed how many EDC videos I watch and still learn new stuff. Great video Stay happy healthy and fluid
Get an Aeku M5 credit card sized phone.
They don't work in Australia ☹️
Here in America it's probably best to just carry a ziploc bag with information about trees, plants and other things. Not so much what's edible but, what's not. The "don't do that's" are much fewer than the "it's ok to rub that on your buttocks." as for tools and such, they're easily carried in a pocket or on your belt and many useful things can be found or made. For example, within 20 minutes I could probably find enough hooks, lures and broken fishing line to pull in a whale. Many people forage for food and edibles but, they forget about the usefulness of tossed water bottles, cans ect. I'm not saying don't be prepared, I'm just saying if you're unable to carry heaps, nature and mankind has you covered via-littering.
Really knice
I will added some tea light candle, at least one disposble grove to it since this tin have so much space.
Nice little sharpener mate, multiple options and easy to use. I think I'll find one, cheers
I keep one of those trolley tools that let you get a trolley without a coin and it comes out easy. Works with all the different kinds.
I carry a credit card tool, a card with duct tape where you have the ferro rod i carry a small whistle. Some band aids and a couple of wipes hygienic and alcohol.
Nice review mate, got a few of these including the Squirt PS4 and the True Utility Firestash. Like you say they don't all have to go on a keyring, you can carry them in a pocket - coin pocket for example as they're all small enough - or connected to a separate carabiner/clip. The ring on the Firestash is not just to prevent water coming in, it has the big advantage that it prevents the fuel leaking out or evaporating so unlike a Zippo type petrol lighter it doesn't vanish and is there when you need it, I am a smoker so always carry a Bic or Clipper too but this is my backup lighter and I've used it 4 months after filling. Thanks too for showing the Olight l1R EOS, I have the i3E EOS which runs on an AAA battery which I'm very impressed with but will definitely be getting the l1R EOS as I like the idea of a USB torch as well, and this isn't expensive at £12 on ebay.
Seems like the ultimate edc wallet would have things like cash, credit and debit cards, identification, maybe a library card, a laminated list of important phone numbers. That might be better edc gear than a wire saw. Idk, just spitballin ideas.
Thanks everyone has added great idea's 👍🏽 we can learn from each other people have listed thing's I didn't even think of.
I have a keychain that has the items split between the pocket and my belt loop. In my pocket there is a Victorinox Fieldmaster and my house keys. On my belt loop the car keys, a true utility firelight, the tic tool and a Coghlans whistle. The light and the Victorinox are used the most. PS The Swedish firesteel is too big for the Altoids tin.
I love my little 6-in-1 keychain tool. Like you, I've had it for well over 10 years and have used it often. I don't know why everyone doesn't have one. Necessity if you wear glasses. New to my keychain is a SAK with a pen in it. Luckily I don't carry many keys. I also use the little S clips only for items I want to separate from the keychain to use.
Nice. I will checkout the SAK for the keyring. I do have a larger SAK in my pocket and its my go to.....im always using it. Thankyou Kich
Thank you, I always thought about a survival wallet, after seeing an tv movie as a kid "Hatchet Cry in the Wild Movie"
Will have to try to hunt down the film Jason
Nice and compact. Thanks
I like this because it's believable as an EDC. I watched an EDC video where the guy carried a 20lbs backpack. That's just more than most people will ever actually carry daily. Yours is short and sweet. If you need it it's there, if you don't it's not.
Thankyou. I try to be realistic and practical. So much stuff is excess.
No. Just no. I challenge you to actually use your "survival tin". Go out just with that and tell me how it works.
Yes, just yes. I carry this with me everyday in an urban setting. I use the kit for different reasons daily...... and i challenge you to show us your kit? Thats right. Chirping crickets🦗
I had some beeswax candles in my tin. But they melted in a blob lol. Might add a couple of antidiareah pills, a couple of and some exlax pills in there ( don't get them confused lol ) also some baking soda is good for heartburn. A nail is handy to. You could stick a couple of strips if duct tape to the top of your tin. Also a small piece of sand paper comes in handy in case your match striker goes bad. Eydrops are good to have in your kit.
Credit card size piece of sand paper. For your finger nails, sharpening a blade, or removing corrosion from electronic contact points. Etc. You could put a tea bag in there. Looks like you may want to add a flattened wax cotton ball or Q tip for fire starting. Small zip ties are good to have. Thank you, great video.
Thanks William. Good idea with the sandpaper..... the key is getting items flat
I put zip ties in the inside of my hat, I have used them before come in handy. Plus I grab the plastic bags from the fruit side of my grocery store they can be folded very small and they to came in handy for carrying thing's in the plastic bag.
Also where do you get altoids tins in Australia at a reasonable price
Mainly online. Ebay etc is best
Like it that the items are mostly flat weather stored in wallet or a tin seems like all useful items you may need at a pinch. Keep the videos coming
Good clear presentation and some great tips like idea of slightly bigger tin
What rin can is that ??
Aussie?
Yes, Australian.
@@adventureswithcowboycol from where?

Why don't you try holding the things still so we can actually see them???
Thanks for the feedback. Will take it on board
Nice !... Subbed.
Awesome kit. You should put a Whirl-Pak bag, or a water balloon/bomb/grenade, or a produce/fruit bag for a water carrier. Thanks for sharing.
