    Thyronorm medication depletes iron in the blood in the long run. And similar BP tablets prescribed. Doctors should wean out medications slowly. If in case you are not part of the lobby prescribing it.

    What about too much fat that creates a barrier around our cells preventing the insuline from unlocking the cell and allowing glucose into the cell? Genuinely curious

      Excess visceral and subcutaneous fat definitely worsens things but on the flip side excessive insulin can further perpetuate the fat build up. It’s a bidirectional issue!

    NAD+ has changed our lives. I'm 59 and my mother is 81... I feel like a young man again... I've lost 39 pounds... it's just unbelievable, but people notice it. My resting heart rate is 62 and my low is 42... Blood work came back with no problems at all...my 81 year old mother too.. this is only part..we take a few vitamins too and stopped processed foods and oils..... I use lard, real butter, olive oil, coconut oil and fresh farm eggs <lots of eggs 😂 Unlike doctors, we're fixing ourselves and not medicating symptoms... It works..

    I think one of the major failings of our medical system is the failure to measure fasting insulin which you mentioned. I asked my GP if I could get a HOMA-IR done & he had no idea what I was talking about. If I get it done through a naturopath, I'm assuming I would have to pay for the lab test . Any idea of how much that would cost? Now I'm in Ontario & y'all are in B.C. so it might be different I realize.

    I have a general question doc. If a person has high LDL, lets say 176, would TRT generally be safe for that person? Notice I am not referring to myself 😉 BTW, love your video!! I have never seen you on YT. New subscriber! I already had low T diagnosed from blood work. My total T was 404 and my free test was 6.1 (general range was 8.7-29). I am assuming although the free test it isnt crazy low, it could still give me symptoms. I have had my thyroid and everything checked and all that was normal. I am not obese. I am a male, 39 yo, height 5’7” 149 lbs

      @dr.robinlewis 5 дней назад

      Hello! Thanks for watching! High cholesterol doesn’t mean you can’t do TRT, it just means you will want to be regularly monitoring it while you’re on it. Also, if you use Apo B100 to track your ‘bad cholesterol’ rather than LDL it’s more accurate. I hope that helps!

    I have a friend who was diagnosed with lung cancer two months ago(probably small cell, being she smoked for close to 50 years). I've been reading about the use of Fenbendazole and the class of drugs known as anthelmintics to fight cancer. I'd be interested in your take on this. We go to see the oncologist for the first time tomorrow; it's been a long wait.

    • @dr.robinlewis

      Hello! Unfortunately I don’t do cancer care in practice so I wouldn’t have much of an opinion but what I do know is that those type of medications will come with some harsh side effects that can be helped a lot by focusing on some of these foundations of good health. Ie stomach upset is a common side effect and they often don’t do enough to help mitigate those things even though there are a lot of holistic therapies that are very supportive and help lessen the collateral damage. I hope that helps ❤️

    I absolutely love Hawthorne. I don’t have high blood pressure, sometimes it’s even a bit low(not dangerously low) I know you say not to take it if you have low blood pressure but when the weather gets hot, my legs and ankles start to swell and it’s very uncomfortable. I’ll start taking some Hawthorne tincture in water throughout the day…as directed on the bottle. I’m amazed how well it works for me. I’m not exaggerating my legs and ankles go back to normal within the day. I was wondering if it should be something l should take regularly through the year or maybe best just when I find I’m getting swelling in the legs?

      Thank you so much for sharing! That makes sense as it’s also very good for the integrity of your blood vessels. It typically works best as a continuous therapy but with your low blood pressure you just want to be cautious. If you’re starting to get dizziness, weakness, or other signs of very low blood pressure I would stop. However, if you don’t, then it might be worth taking as a continuous supplement :)

    10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (The Great I AM, YHVH, El Shaddai, Adonai, God of Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham). Maintaining muscle mass through resistance training is an essential factor in longevity & health span within that journey. Dr. Gabor Mate also points out the inherent stress in Western Capitalist societies, and as a practicing clinical psychologist for 41 years, I was witness to an exponential rise in anxiety in my clients over the years. We have become a quick fix society & Ozempic is a perfect example of that. At my age I don't do really intense resistance training any more, but I do resistance training "snacking" every day, which entails doing a few sets of three or so lifts every day. Fasting is another tool to use if your focus is on longevity & health span.

    I eat a clean whole food diet. Keto based freshly at home. Cooked on low heat with 1/2 cup of low glycemic fruits (infrequently) like blueberries or strawberries after my fats, meat, and dark leafy greens. Water and loose leaf teas are all I drink. Never added sugar. Always active, exercise, and moving daily, and throughout the day. I don’t overeat. Always make it a point to walk or exercise after every meal. Intermittent fasting 16/8. Yet my blood glucose levels spike regardless. Ever since I had a life altering accident, my body stopped functioning normally. I know you mentioned diabetics and pre diabetics are ones to consider Berberine. My fasting blood sugar has been stuck at 99 for years. The swelling legs, continuing weight gain without any changes in diet, and insomnia are getting worse. I am willing to try 500 mg once a day to see if it brings me some relief. My doctors say I am lucky to be alive, but I want to have my quality of life back!
