Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Do your Dahlias come back every year? I live on Long Island too and mine come back I just leave them in the ground but I hope Im not just lucky at my garden.
Happy Anniversary! It looks like it was a wonderful celebration! ❤
Thank you! 🤗
😅not giving me a lot of hope but i sincerely appreciate your honesty. You're moving to NC, ZIm in GA, why not move your flower farm or at least start a new one here? So many videos I have yet to see on your channel that will help me lear and grow. Thank you
Congrats on making your goal, hoping you break even! So very sorry that happened to your farm. People are so quick to judge when they have no clue and that's insane that someone would post that picture of someone else's weeds. Wishing you well
Thank you so much!
Off topic, what's your opinion on the best weed barrier? Do you burn all your own holes? Where do you purchase your plugs from and which plants you order in plugs? Thank you
You may be crazier (that's meant in a good way) than I am, I always jump too, but 9 hours? Started growing flowers in IL many years ago, it was very therapeutic for me. I had a really stressful job and I found that I could resolve a lot of issues in the garden as well as it centering me and my faith. Yes, may sound crazy, but I find God in the garden. Over the years the gardens kept getting bigger and now people were knocking on the door asking to go in the back gardens. Ultimately, I moved to FL and it was just too much of a challenge, between not being able to grow what I wanted, the watering schedules by the city and the extreme heat and humidity. 18 years later, the kids are on their own and I truly missed that part of my life. Just moved to central GA and hoping to start a smaller flower farm, crazy.😅 Have you tried no dig garden beds? What are 2 things you would suggest? Wishing you and your family well.
Thank you, scared I'll pinch incorrectly. Very helpful
Looks like fun! I'm going to try sowing seeds here in Australia soon with some seed I saved from a dahlia called Juliette. Wow, your pitcher of lilacs was gorgeous! 🥰
😂😂 He/she Loving Life, Bouncing All Over The Place ❤
Did you pinch/cut back? I have my first 4 plants and I want to cut for an arraignment. ❤

So beautiful!! ❤
Hang in there. I'm glad you met your goal!
Thank you :)
Id like to see Floret address the seeds this year, i haven't seen anyone super happy with them
Congrats
Sorry to hear it. People can be brutal. Hope the rest of the season finishes strong!
Thank you
So sorry! Yes that’s right, they don’t have a business and they probably have never Gardened. Hope the rest of your season is successful!
Thank you :)
Hi! Is this statice perennially? Tnx!
So great to hear, appreciate y’all sharing
I like the red
Is pinching the same as pruning?
Mine have been terrible this year😢 Thanks for the video 👍
Good to know this info even though it came at a little bit of a loss for you! Also, I'm experiencing the same with my Floret zinnias. Even when I leave them uncut for an extra 2 weeks! Maybe all my double petaled beauties are still in the seed packets I have saved for next year! lol
I’m excited to see if I left the doubles in my packs too! The precious metals and unicorn I planted came up in mostly singles- but still lovely
Where did you buy your Oklahoma zinnia seeds?
I love how you're so honest!
How far do you plant them?
Please beware. The adjective "unique" cannot be qualified. You should not say "Very Unique" because unique means "one of a kind." A thing is either one of a kind, or it is not. It is either unique, or it is not unique. A thing cannot be very unique, or quite unique, or so unique.
Good to know. I don’t have drip irrigation so mine don’t get watered enough.
I’m sure they’ll bounce back!
Thank you!
My zinnias look exactly the same! Almost all my flowers do right now, just this week. It's odd because we haven't had much rain lately and I don't water them but they all started looking like that this week, even my morning glories! They looked great last week. They did get heavy rain early in the season but not recently. We have very high humidity right now so that was the only thing I could think of...too much water earlier in the season...its just odd to me that its all the sudden this week. We did have a cooler temp week last week and it's back to very hot this week. Maybe they aren't in the best shape this year and couldn't handle it? I'm in WV.
Yeah, these last two years they start to get black spot so early. My ageratum though also died back so quickly so I am not sure what that was about.Hoping for a better season next year
My flowers get overwatered every year because i live in rainy ireland. Im delighted you can do better next year!
Yes, I look forward to next year and fixing my mistake!
As my flowerfarm is situated in denmark I can tell a similar story, because we had lots and lots and lots of never ending rains this year. To be correct I have to say, that it has been raining in our part of denmark nearly every day since nearly one year. I can't see rain any more!! I messed up two successions of flowers, because I'm not used to deal with such amounts of water. As a result we have so many slugs, although my chickens do their very best. And of course there are also some other issues like fungal diseases of my roses and so on. 🙄 I'm afraid, that with climate change it could stay like this in our region. That would be horrible, to be honest. But I wish you the very best!! You are glad to be able to switch off the irrigation. My irrigation from above isn't that easy stoppable. 😅 ;) 🤗🌻
Thanks much great advice. you can also mix them in a bouquet
My favourite ..the bees love them
Beautiful bouquet
Wow thanks for sharing. I used t9 have the one in middle
Stunning flowers
Thank you for this.
Which variety of Rudbeckia? They are gorgeous!
Thank you for your honesty. I am enjoying watching your journey.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing the good, the bad and the ugly!
Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing! Where can I get heirloom mums?
I'm absolutely feeling with you!!! And I understand you so well!!! So many flowerfarmers experienced that this year, changing weather conditions and resulting increased pest pressure ... a cocktail out of devils kitchen in terms of flower (or veggie) production. The experience that no one has time when you desperately need help is also well known 😢 Don't be sad, you're not alone!! And you are brave and go on and you share it with us, so that we also don't feel alone with these same problems! Thank you for this!! I think you will find a solution and its also a new experience and adventure in your life, don't forget that. You just can get into problematic situations if you try something, and would you like to live a life without adventure and trying out new things? I wouldn't like to ;) And: my farm is about 10 minutes away from where I live at the moment, because I have to renovate the old buildings. Its very difficult not to live there, because you never can use some free minutes for working in the fields. I think that makes it much more difficult for me and probably also for you. I could imagine, thats why you need workers to help you. But its not easy to afford those helping hands, thats clear. I'm curious about the solution you were talking about! I wish you the very best and hope, that everything turns well for you!! 🤗🌻🌼
Thank you so much for this, I really needed it! It has been an extremely tough season.
Why oh why is she making this video with a loud engine in the background??
Thank you for sharing your struggles. I'm sorry it's not as you had hoped this year. I think you should move your farm to N Carolina- find land there. It must be hard not being able to be at the field. Nobody will take care of your farm like you would. I look forward to what's ahead for you, and am wishing you only the best!
Thank you! We had planned on going back to NY in the summers to be with family. For now we will try to make it work, but its a struggle
I so appreciate your honesty. Cant wait to hear what's next! Best of luck to you!!
Thank you so much!
my fleuret zinnia im unsure for now... since it was a bad year for all the other zinnias... i have seeds left and will try them again next year.
Yes, I am so happy I did a succession planting of the zinnias about 75 feet. They are still looking ok for now
montreal quebec also feels like september... i dont have as many flowers as last year. so starting fall vedgies lol
Same here in denmark!
