@@msgirl01 To spin you go in a clockwise direction only, as fast as you can until no more water is coming out of the hose. Hope this is helpful. Myself, I have the' Breathing Mobile Washer', which is a washing plunger that pushes and sucks up water and soap through the clothes. And I have the Ninja Spin Dryer to wring out the clothes. I have been using this method for 2 yrs. now. They also make a Washing Wand which works the same as the Breathing Wand and is cheaper by $12.

In your opinion how long do these minis last once opened? I opened one around a week ago

@@creasefold1986 I use them for 7-10 days if they've been in the fridge and are re-closed Prob just 2 days on the counter. When I get a bad box (often) I transfer to a glass water bottle with lid. The black box minis do not seem to have the lid issue and there is a nice red blend available in this size although difficult to find. I usually only see the cab which is decent. Beats traveling or heading to beach or pool w a glass bottle.

This is at your own risk But it keeps my Brussel sprouts from drying out. And allows things like fish that might get stuck in the holes.

I use a spun hair net over the basket to help save on filters and put in a fresh one before vacuuming. If it is really dirty, especially leaves, you may have to change the hairnet during vacuuming which means priming all over again. I try to scoop out as many leaves as possible before vacuuming. I divided my pool into quarter sections like a pizza and moved the vacuum attachment slowly along the bottom in a line. If you go too fast it will stir it up instead of sucking it into the filter.

I have that size pool and the same I found out to be true. SO, I ordered a Summer Escapes SFS 1500 Filter Pump Housing 078-110219 (no guts) Had to use a rubber mallet to tap it in. No chance for a leak.

@theahilliard I'm sorry I think yours is a different size. It will need a different adapter. It seem like iplayindirt said, that replacing the skimmer is the best solution (but also most costly and most time consuming). I guess it depends on how much you want to spend and how long you expect to use the pool. I have also read where some people just left the old filter in place and allowed water to run through it so that might be worth a try. I have also read where some have tried PVC parts from lowes with an O-ring with some luck. Hope you can get it going.

+msgirl01 Lol... It's been a lot of trial and error for sure here. I went the route And left the old filter in last year. Couldn't get enough suction to vacuum. I got a 22ft and on a farm there is a lot of dirt. Also I already had the adapter from the year before and all the shut off valves etc..etc... ideas from these videos.. Lol. So this year, investing the 60 bucks in the housing with a smaller opening to fit the adapter and no hassle was worth it. I really like the idea of the folks who grind off the housing bottom smooth and then use a hole saw to cut the 2 1/2" opening to fit an on/off plunger valve with strainer. But there again, by the time I'd buy a side grinder and hole saw, the cost for me would be more than the new housing. So I think anyone reading this who has the larger pools, the skimmer housing is larger. So if you already got the tools it looks to be cost efficient to go that route with the rehab. If not then investing in a new housing to fit adapter is easier.

+msgirl01 I'm sorry not old filter but the old pump. Anyways... Just seen where you replaced your above ground with an I ground pool! That's wonderful. That's my next move I think. How is the maintaining that?

+iplayndirt Those are good tips!! Our in ground has the in floor cleaning system and it actually much easier than the above ground. It does depends on the installer though. I test of course, sweep the corner of the deep end 2-3x a week, clean the skimmer baskets 2-3 times a week, clean the filter basket pre filter every week or two, and clean cartridges every month or two. Chemicals are a little more just because the pool is larger, but the salt water generator cuts out the chlorine cost. And really it stays in balance pretty well. Down the road will be cartridge, pump, and liner replacements but that's not too often - every 5-10. We love it!!

I was able to vacuum great with mine. It did fold the piece inward if the vacuum got stuck on the bottom and created too much suction but it still worked and i could flip it back after I was done. It did not flip it inward every time I used it. II used it like that for 2 years and it never actually broke. They are about $40 to replace if it does break. That's for the brand name. Generics available with mixed reviews. To me being able to get the dirt/sand off of the bottom is worth it. It really gives good suction. Once you replace that worthless filter that the pool came with, you pool will stay clean. That pool was only $200. That's because the filter was so cheap. It does not work. Spend the $100 for the new filtering system. Replace the cheap hoses. It's worth it.

As far as having too much suction, mine had a lot but I managed fine. It seems some have more problems than others. Our pool was on dirt so the bottom was uneven. Sometimes it would suction down to the bottom if it got it the right spot but I could pull it quickly back up. a smoother bottom on concrete might give more trouble. Also, we used an adapter like this www.amazon.com/Model-Intex-Large-Plunger-Assemblies/dp/B00EIMRZGS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468424973&sr=8-1&keywords=intex+plunger between the vacuum attachment and the hose so maybe that cut the flow down a little. They are inexpensive so it might something to try.

Sebastian Davis Those pro series pumps are extremely worthless. They are pond pumps. Buy the one on the video. Only $100 and 15 minutes of time. A bonus is, you will have a mini fountain (where water pours back into pool).

MARY COCHRAN I have the PolyGroup 24' pool. The pump went out. It didn't even last the summer. I found your video and ordered the parts. The problem is that the skimmer adapter you have a link to does not fit my skimmer at all. You'd think that all PolyGroup pools would use the same skimmer. Obviously, they don't as the 4552 part is too small. I was wondering if someone may have experienced the same problem. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to take the skimmer off and go to a pool place and see if anyone has an adapter that fits. If they don't, I will just have to cut, glue and seal to make it work.

Allowing a little air in the top of the filter housing of the B filter would decrease the suction but of course decrease effectiveness. The vacuum tops are pretty cheap so maybe just try a new one. i had the same problem last summer n could not figure out an answer luckily you asked and someone answered.

Heather Jones I use the 7 test strips from walmart and keep it in balance. I have found that one shock weekly works better than using the disks. The peak of chlorine kills better. Try to shock after the weekend when people wont be in it for a day or two.

I also use the vacuum linked in the about section.
