Agreed 100%! But that tends to often be the case with “build-a-figs”.

Yeah. I'm hesitant to get it because the colors are noticeably more muted and the sand looks almost pinkish. I'm worried the text will be blurry too like the War of the ring play mat. At least with War of the Ring the mat is larger so what you lose in detail you gain in play space. If you have gotten yours by now what do you think?

I appreciate the constructive criticism. I was trying to show them all in a reasonable amount of time, but I definitely want to make sure to show everything clearly. The stitched horror was a movie creation. In the book, Wanna Yueh was just said to be dead. The movie didn’t explicitly state the Horror WAS her, that’s just a fan theory, but a good one and in the Dune movie-verse I am cool with that being her.

It should fit fine. One base game (either DI vanilla or Uprising) and Rise of Ix and Immortality, will all fit in the Deluxe box

Thank you for the great info! Although now, after seeing the movie, I am suspecting that the “rocket launchers” are actually lasguns… I seem to recall seeing those in the movie as weapons of the same size as the RPGs but with that cloth wrapped around them as camouflage

@@allthingsnerd.4484 the technology in the movie was awesome.

Everything fits without lid lift, even with the cards being sleeved. The only thing that does not fit is Dune Imperium Uprising, and that’s only because all those sleeved cards is too much. But, since DI:U is technically a separate game, it’s not expected to fit.

It’s not the worst sculpt I have ever seen. It’s definitely recognizable, but yeah… the detail leaves a bit to be desired

Yes you can! His head can be popped off and the cape and robe can be removed.

It’s a great set! I am hoping for more figures with more variety now that the movie is out. An Irulan and a Reverend Mother Jessica are mandatory!

The likenesses are about the same…. The one in the duel two-pack with Feyd is a good likeness, but he does have the cut on his head so there is a blood trail coming down from his forehead.

I definitely believe so. Not only does it add all the characters and things missing from D:I due to them being part of Dune Part 2 (Feyd, taking out the shield wall, worm riding, etc), but almost all of the cards from D:I can be added to D:IU. I also feel the board with the Spy mechanic is a vast improvement over the original board. I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy D:I already.

No, the old LJN figures were 1:12 scale which is around 5-6 inches. These are 7+ inches. Close, but the McFarlanes are bigger. Also, to compare, the ReAction versions of the 1984 Dune figures are 3.75 inches (same as Kenner Star Wars figures).

You can use all the cards from the original game except for a very few. The rule book has specifics in the back for integrating Uprising with base DI and Ix and Immortality.

Yeah, I’m pretty bummed that it seems my choice is either unsleeved cards and the game all in one box, or sleeved cards and game spread across 2 boxes. It’s not a big deal, but I do love combining all products for a particular game in one box if at all possible. But, as I have to do multiple boxes for Firefly, Talisman, Arkham Horror, Mansions of Madness, Star Trek Ascendancy, Star Trek Fleet Captains. Star Wars Imperial Assault, and so many others, having to split this one in two is not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.😅

I am still going to do the video comparing the figures that repeat in both series (Paul, Rabban, Stilgar), but spoiler alert…. Rabban is the EXACT same mold. I’m a little bummed out by that, but since he comes in a two pack with Gurney, who we didn’t get in series one, it’s not the end of the world. If he was a stand alone figure though, I’d be mad.

@@allthingsnerd.4484 I'm still mad I have to pay $20 for a character I already spent $100 give or take to build. It's like Gurney is being held hostage by the higher price tag. In a better world he'd be standalone and the emperor and Irulan would be a two pack

Yeah, they seem to be. On the robed Paul, it even seems to be sculpted on the head. On Chani and Shishakli, the cable is not part of the head, but the plug seems glued in. I didn’t try too hard to pull it loose as it seemed pretty secure.

Hey! I am so sorry for the delay! I totally thought I had responded to this comment already! I checked and it seems like the heads do not pop off for interchangeability. I gave the emperor a good tug (get your mind out of the gutter 😆) and it seems like it is attached at the neck permanently
