Space Hawk sound effects: (The sound effects that were implemented into Space Hawk)
Просмотров 709 месяцев назад
All of the sound effects that you here in this video are the effects that were included in the Space Hawk video. The JUP 8 V4 and the Vocoder V were used for the synthesized effects and the one vocoded line. The samples were sounds that I gathered that would fit the ride. Please keep the video up. I enjoy watching it because I do enjoy watching your showcases but I really would appreciate it if you at least gave some credit. You have named other creators of rides you've showcased.
I loved this ride. Would always try for the front car. If you wanted to stay and ride again you could just pay. One of my favorite coasters of all time. No, not as impressive as a 6 Flags coaster like Superman, but lots of fun and a decent length of ride.
Can you give us the screens please
You did not have an electric box that operated it. It had two handles, one, a trim brake, and the other, the main break. I should know, as I worked on it the last two seasons
I was in high school in 1967. Glen Echo had 10 cent ride nights in the summer. For a buck you could ride that baby to your hearts content.
Interesting. I rode that roller coaster a few times and this simulation is somewhat, if not fully accurate.
I so very much loved Mountain Park. Visited many times as a kid in the late 70’s until it closed in ‘87. I rode the Mountain Flyer many times. This simulation is quite good. No banked track coming out of the station…before it turned left to climb the lift, the Flyer’s cars would be aimed directly at the park’s miniature railroad which would turn left as well…and if timed right, the coaster train and the mini-train would meet and “play chicken” before they both turned left…riders would always reach out from each ride to try to high five each other. The trains on the Flyer were stainless steel Century Flyer models…no divider between riders, so three smaller people could cram in together. The ride itself was great…you got tons of air on the big drops, and added thrill of tree branches hanging over the track on the “out”portion. The turnaround was famous ( or infamous depending on who you talked to.) If you were in the back, you got whipped…and with no divider, you got a bit close with the person you were riding with (Great date ride!)…and once out of the dropping curve, the train slammed into a shallow right turn which send you back across the seat to the other side! Then you shot through the bunny hills. It was truly a hell bent for leather ride….and we always came back for more! At night was even better because it was dark up there! Sadly it went with the park, but Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce shows significant influence in its design….longer, but very similar.
The airtime on this thing was insane. Was a great coaster….a joy to ride
The top of the first hill twisted slightly to the left. I climbed all over this thing back in the early eighties…have lots of photos of it. At the peak of the chain lift, the tracks quickly twisted about 10.or 15 degrees ( just slightly) to left…a surprise for back seat riders, as they began the descent into the initial plunge
It was an honor to ride and to know Freddy Moran and the crew rest in peace guys and bolt ill never forget you
You should make Hurler next
0:00 Disaster Transport
That's how I remember it. At the time it was built, having all those loops was the fad. But compared to the newer coasters, the loops didn't cut it anymore. It just didn't feel very exciting. Which is kind of strange thing to say looking at it and everything it did. The design just didn't take into account what is actually fun to experience. It wasn't bad. Just not as exciting as newer rides.
What a perfect recreation
This is absolutely fantastic! You got the Arrow track shaping down really well, this looks better than most of the NL2 Arrows I've seen
Always wondered where people found these sound effects
Can you please have the lights turn on so I can see what it really looks like and how the going up the ride looks like and then when it goes down hill that will be so cool see how it looks like with the lights on and how it goes around the building and the tracks too. Please and thank you
Interesting. I was always curious what this was like. I just remember all the years it was standing there, not in use with vegetation growing all over it.
I was under the impression that the first drop actually went below ground level by 5-8 ft. I just recall reading that somewhere. Maybe in the Traver book? Great video though. Loved it.
Have you uploads to t he steam workshop?
It was known as the Comet when i rode it. The best out and back at Riverview!
It never rode that well as The Flash after the firstbdrop
It replaced the Greyhound, which while ancient was a much better ride.
Imagine the soldiers hear this mistaken this as air raid siren.
😂😂😂
It really does sound like an air raid siren in some way.
I miss this ride
My favorite was the Cyclone Racer at the Pike Amusement Park in Long Beach CA. Rode it many times as a kid, and still is my favorite coaster of all time. Sad they dismantled it in 1968. Harry Traver really knew his stuff.
The Cyclone Racer was built by Traver Engineering but designed by the legendary Fred Church!
The Pippin looks like it was similar to Jack Rabbit with the double dip, this was more exciting than Jack Rabbits layout. I love Thunderbolt the way it is now just as much as I would have enjoyed Pippin.
WONDERFUL RECREATION! FOR AS MANY YEARS AS I WENT TO WEST VIEW PARK, I NEVER RODE THIS RIDE. I ALWAYS WANTED TO RIDE THE DIPS. DIPS WAS MY FIRST AND MOST LOVED ROLLER COASTER.
This is Trackwalker's recreation that he made in 2012 - you should credit him at least in your description
What a fantastic recreation. Of an iconic ride. I never got to ride the Bobs, saw a filmed ride at a convention once. Having background detail and many views was a treat. I’ve already ‘ridden’ it a few times through your excellent recreation.
When I rode it, it had no modern lock bar as shown at the beginning/end. It had just a standard handle bar way above your lap that did not serve to hold you in the seat (at least not at the age I was riding it).
A fast ride with plenty of air time
Where did you manage to find my NoLimits design from 20 years ago? The site I had my account on has been shut down for years. This is 100% mine as I messed up the pacing and the lower turn far turn is supposed to be a rising fan, I made it swooping.
I found it on Coastercrazy. The file from 2008.
that is the jack rabbit lier
what game?
looks tame! Not in its day tho. I can still hear the screams. What a ride, what a place!
My dad said they would come off all bruised from the lateral forces! But they would ride it all day!
Kennywood should add a Tunnel or 2 to Phantom's Revenge.
Awesome. And thank you! My father used to talk about this coaster all the time when I was growing up in the 70s/80s and started to ride all the fancy new steel Arrow loopers and Schwartzkopf shuttles. Said nothing beat the Bobs at Riverview. He maintained, even throughout the 90s, that there were no trims at any point in the run. I used to tell him it would rip itself apart without any and he always claimed it nearly did and that's why it had to close. I assume this build is accurate with the two touch trims? Even though Dad has long passed, I finally feel like I got to ride his beloved Riverview Bobs.
I remember Riverview that looks like a recreation of the Fireball Rollercoaster 🎢 One of 5 that was there. I was 11 years old when they closed down
Glad to see a version of the simulation of the ride that has the dragon head in it. I sure hope there is a way that a replica if this ride can be built.
Shockwave is it's not old is from 1999 they building six flags Great America
Virtually no bunny hills....
I liked it! It didn't have a lot of "violent" drops or turning you upside down, but still you get a good fast(!) ride. I wish that could be rebuilt today.
Strange coaster....i can see why it didnt last. Nice build though ..ive never seen enough pics of this coaster to figure it's layout out.
It’s cool that you included the Chute the Chutes and Pair-o-chutes in the background. Also the Flying Turns coming soon 😀
The music is all wrong. I remember riding it when i was like 6 or something, i remember it being one of the only rides i could ride at the park, idk if my parents slipped someone a 20 or if it was bc the height requirement wasnt as high as wabash and screaming delta demon and rockin roller coaster but the music was really exciting and loud, lot of base. Very theatrical track
The music that's in this was the one that the ride started out with from 1989 to 1991. The bones on the beach one wasn't added until during the 1991 season.
14:28 smacked dead in the face by the tree 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good job there !
Not even close
I’m not sure what those buttress’s are at that one turn but those never existed on the actual coaster . I doubt you have any control over sound but that sounds nothing like the real one did
Yeah. Unfortunately. I do not have any control over that sound. It's the one inganme.
