How to set up tattoo machine coil/rotary
is this a regular printer like can you use regular paper
Whats the name of the app please
Sharpen your knife bro lol!
Update bro?
Did you end up using these more? How long does one cartridge last? Im curious because i want to start learning how to tattoo, but before starting on fake skin I'd like to get a feel for it by using these.
do you have to do this if i use full disposable ?
I got this machine and it’s cool but I originally didn’t like it now that I’m practicing more it’s cool
What should I set it on heavy medium light
Thank you
Nice machinee for shading.. so soft
How do you like the new needle cartridges? Like for lining I can’t seem to get Lines like I can with a coil machine I even wana go back and try a single coil machine
I need q machine and dont hqve money atm. Wokld u be willing to sell this one you had on the video
I don’t have this equipment anymore shortly after making this video I gave everything to one of my clients that was interested in learning to tattoo sorry I couldn’t be of any help
I can sell you something maybe
I can sell ya something I don’t use anymore what you want
I have a coil machine.so all i need is that needle with the ball on it and that black handle that holds the cartridges or does the regular standard handle works aswell
Yes you’ll need the conversion grip to covert your machine to except pen cartridges
In another video the guy did alcohol wipes first then cavicide 🤔 does it matter what order?
Yes the order matters if you want it sterile when your done the other probably didn’t know what he was doing
@@Tattoo4you awesome that's good to know, thanks a bunch. So cavicide then alcohol wipes?
@@asc3ndantone watch the hole video
I want a 4mm stroke I didn’t know they had different ones for this I have it but the lining is hard, I think it’s because I have the cheapest cartridges but dang
Get some mast pro carts there as cheap as I’d go there good quality and have a huge selection and as far as the cam you can buy a new one from cnc’s website or look on eBay or Amazon and search for cnc q series cams www.ebay.com/itm/256034441012?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=dsjjCbzyRLu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=fjgvGkfoRtS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@Tattoo4you thank you
@@Tattoo4you what stroke would you recommend for lining
4.0 for lining/color packing unless your doing huge back pieces and using giant needle groupings you don’t need to go about that
So on a rotary the 5mm is actually better for lining ???? Because I used coils years ago and used 2.5mm to line good and now with my cnc q2 I can’t get good lines, it’s a 3.5mm stroke
So the way strokes work the lower the cam stroke the softer it hits so if it’s a 2.5 or 3.0 it’s good for soft shading and color blends the higher the cam stroke the harder it hits so if it’s a 4.0-5.0 it’s good for lining and color packing also the bigger the cams it makes it easier to use larger needle groupings on average I’m running 14-18rl bug pins so I use my 4.0 cam stroke I can use the 3.5 but it won’t run as smooth and hit as hard so you’d have to go slower with the 3.5
@@Tattoo4you awsome honestly I used coil machines and this makes no sense but rotary machines are different but you explained it awsome thank you
It’s the same on a coil machine the stroke is how far the needle travels up and down so the longer the stroke the more energy builds up before hitting the skin so it’s hitting harder think of a rubber band have you ever put one between your index and thumb grabbed it with the other hand pulled back and slapped yourself or someone else if you don’t pull hard it doesn’t hurt much causing little trauma but if you pull back far it really hurts causing a lot of trauma that’s kinda how the stroke is on a tattoo machine bigger stroke harder hitting machine equals good liner and color packer smaller stroke equals good shader I hope this helps I know that’s a huge run on but I’m half a sleep here
@@Tattoo4you but that’s what is so confusing on a coil machine you would use a lowwww mm of travel to line so why on rotary do you go the opposite way and go for a bigger like 4.5mm stroke it makes no sense to me still like why would they be treated differently like I get the longer stroke the harder the hit, but what’s that have to do with anything we don’t even have a way to measure that hit we only have hertz and that’s confusing as well sorry I don’t get this at all how can a coil machine have way different rules than rotary and if so why can no one explain it gaha
I’m not the expert on coils I did run them for for a bit when I first started out never a fan myself and almost instantly switched to traditional rotary’s I do know with coils you can have larger and smaller coils depending on the wrap of the coils and thickness and length of springs the stroke could be different I guess but from my experience the strokes were roughly the same as pen style rotaries the only way I see you running a 2.5 stroke on a coil is if it had really beefy machine with think coils and springs again I’m no expert on coils sorry I couldn’t be more help
I got the CNC Q2 and it’s good it just feels like it doesn’t like running over 8v and it’s just a weak motor idk maybe my battery is weak and not consistent
Which cam do you have in it I have 4 cnc Q-2’s and zero issues I run mine regularly at 10-11 volts it’s probably your battery
@@Tattoo4you reallly I have the 3.5mm cam and even the owners manual says not to go over 8 or 9 volts
@@Tattoo4you I’ll take a video of the manual I got and post it on RUclips one sec, it will be on my channel shortly
@@Tattoo4you ok I just posted it on my channel brotha
I under stander they say not to go over 8volts I run mine higher zero issues if your not comfortable with that go low and slow
Somehow I’m back watching the same video I want it but I kinda like running the cord and all and this looks awsomeeee how do you recommend it for a liner and what cam would you use? Because some people said lining is better with the 5mm cam idk?
The torped was trash didn’t work with any needle brands I had on hand and the higher the cam the harder the machine hits so better for lining and color packing
@@Tattoo4youbut why would the needle act so different on a coil machine vs rotary like could machine would be set up with a 2.5mm stroke so how can the rotary use 5mm is the way they measure it different or how can this be hahah
It is difficult to adjust the size if we want an accurate size. When I used it to print tattoo paper, it had the size displayed in the upper right corner, but after I adjusted it, it was different from the actual size I wanted. It would be best if you could play a video to teach how to adjust the size.
I think the best I wana try it I got the cnc q2 have you tried that
I like your video very much~ May I have a chance to work with you? Looking forward to hearing from you Rose
Torpedo is comfortable? doesn't the battery outweigh the back of the machine?
Thing looks so sick like the way it’s so simple I’m sure it will easy to do any repairs or upgrades and it can be cleaned and even has different strokes I think this is the best idk tho how do you recommend it like now
No it was junk don’t waist your money
@@Tattoo4you ok was it the motor
@@Tattoo4youwait why can you explain
Hello! I'm about to start tattooing and I have a question. Is it ok to use the same grip for several people or should we use disposable grips? I ask because there are mast machines without disposable grips. Thanks for your help!
You can use the same grip check out my video on sterilization you’d still need to sterilize your machine with a disposable grip also I wouldn’t second any mast machines they all require a Allen head to take them apart to properly clean and sterilize them I’d advise something like a cnc Q-2 where everything twist apart no tools required
@@Tattoo4you thanks for your help! Will this process of opening the machine and sterizing have to be done every time it is used for different customers, even with disposable grips?
Yes blood pathogens are no joke be safe give your self a hour when your first starting out to tear down and reset up once your get some tattooed under your belt if your proficient you can get it done in 30 minutes

Thank you for this sterilization process. Just did my Mast Archer and now it sounds like it is running better and clean!
U cant adjust size?
Shit carts, poor quality, just a branded trash
It’s funny, I have most of what you show in this video, and the HART stack system is great for storage. The drawers boxes with the dividers are perfect for cartridges, you can fit a 20 pk in each little section.
can this use whit cable normal table pc. normal table pc not have bluetooth and wifi.
It’s Bluetooth only
It can be connected to laptop with supplied USB cable
just today looking same printer and normal cost 95-105$
I made this video months ago price may have some down
Thank you. Can you plug this printer into a laptop or is it only wireless to a tablet or phone?
Just Bluetooth
What do u do if you have to switch the battery mid tattoo?
Well there’s multiple things you could do #1 make sure batteries are charged beforehand #2 have a second machine wrapped up ready to go if you plan on tattooing longer then your battery last #3 take a break take the machine to a clean area away from where your tattooing unwrap machine put new battery on and re wrap everything just make sure you watch my 3 step sterilization process
U can't change the battery on this mast archer tattoo machine unfortunately but it does last for about 8hrs on a full charge
Hey mate, does your printer blink green and red when plugged into the charger? Cheers.
Red when charging green when it’s done
@Tattoo4you cheers mate really appreciate it. Just got mine today and it blinks red and green when I put it on charge. It's a solid green light know though. Does yours go solid green when fully charged?
I haven’t really paid attention in awhile I’ll check mine out later on today I believe I need to charge mine anyway
Flop the image how?
Mine keeps saying no paper detected. I'm using the same type of thermal paper as you. It only prints when I put one of the white papers that came with my printer on top of my thermal paper. Strange.
Are you putting your paper in like I did in my full length video you aren’t you could have that issue and if you are you might need to send it back as you may have gotten a faulty one
Are they still performing good ?
Yes no issues at all
@@Tattoo4you nice 🙏🏼how much does it weight ?
I haven’t weighed it myself I’m going by what the site is saying 56g/1.97oz
Hey brother what do you set the settings on it too theres a thick or tin settings or whatnot
I always use the thick settings so the stencil comes out more pronounced
Got mine from Temu for $64. Awesome deal.
Drop the link please!!
@@kiranjyotkaur6920 RUclips doesn't allow outside links. Temu
Yikes!!! mine was 98. Lol One of the best ones they have, though, usually 300.
@@JamieDiseker Yep. It was normally $300.
Brake cleaner (on fake skin as a last resort) Do it right away and vaseline works fine. Isopropyl alcohol also works well if you do it sooner than later. The gel bleach works good too but if it still wont come off, spray some brake cleaner on a rag and scrub the remaining stencil off. Do not use brake cleaner if you just want to remove the remaining stencil lines after the tattoo is completed as it will also remove ink and make a mess of your work. No need to let it sit. Just spray and scrub.
Any idea how to take the wax off without touching the base? Or, do you just clean inside the pen after?
I don’t use glove or anything when playing with the ballpoint carts my machines get fully sterilized before and after I tattoo someone so just use your hands and sterilize after if your not sure how to do that check my video out on how to do so
Just got one today for Christmas! So stoked ! Less time tracing , more time slinging ! 🙌🏻
I like my torped but I love my soldier so much more smooth.
I also have both along with the Zetton and Lutin. The Zetton is awesome bro! Although they do say it has battery problems but I haven’t had any but if I do I got other batteries I can use on it.
@@jrvega9559 I’ve got the torped the shura the soldier the mars-u and the hello 4.0 😂 love them all and haven’t had any issues with machines or batteries
Thank you bro this helped so much!
What is the app name? I have problems with the sizes
I had the same issue but I actually reached out to Ambition and they were able to walk me through of what to do to fix it and now my machine is running good and I have had it a few months. Their customer support is awesome! Try hitting them up because the Torped is a really great piece! My Torped is now one of my favorite machines. What are you running it at? 🖤🔥
I’m not running it they both got sent back there was no fixing the issues I had and I didn’t want new ones
@@Tattoo4you They were able to help me fix mine. Sorry it didn’t work out for you man. What machine are you using now? 🔥
For my fake skins I use cnc Q-2’s those are the best budget machines in my opinion as far as everyday and people I use my bishop power wands
is it still good so far?
Yes there great I just wish they had a larger selection
Does it need ink? Or one just needs the paper for it?
Just thermal paper
My phone won’t pair w the BT. it’s says “not supported”
Re read the instructions
@@Tattoo4you it works now thanks. I only have iPhone and this printer. Is procreate the best for tattoo design?
If you have an I pad yes if now you can always hand draw it then take a picture to print it with the phomemo
@@Tattoo4youok and now my stencils won’t print very well
Adjust the filter to po3 or po4 then adjust the thickness to heavy different designs need different adjustments play around with it you get it
Do you like the printer? These phomemo/ itari machines seem like such a great idea but I really don’t want to be stuck using an app that might stop working one day..
Yes I like it a lot but that’s definitely something to think about I never gave it much thought that the app might stop working one day
For some reason mine wont print
Mess with setting
Make sure u go to ur phones Bluetooth then when u go into the app after u hit 1 paper print and image then free exit I think them look up at the upper right corner hit the. Printer u should c a printer hit that then hit m08f and it should say connected. U should b good to go once u upload the pic then hit done bottom right then print bottom right.
