We had the whole Lake to ourselves. Lago d’Idro, Italy
We found the perfect spot next to an incredible lake that turned into one of the best park ups we’ve had. So much nicer than Lake Garda and Lake Como. So peaceful and calm, very few tourists and had the whole lake to ourselves the whole day. Enjoy
We're Phil and Nicola, a couple of Yorkshire Puddings, who bought a 20 year old Mercedes Sprinter passenger bus called Popcorn, that was ready for the scrap yard.
Welcome to the channel and we hope you subscribe and follow our journey as we live full time, travel around Europe in our self built home on wheels and backpack around the rest of the world.

Our failed attempt at hiking to Bivacco Bedin cabin
Просмотров 1604 месяца назад
This week we attempt to hike up to the Bivacco Bedin cabin. Winter is over but Spring hasn’t fully arrived yet in the Dolomites so weren’t sure if we’d make it because the mountain tops were still covered in Snow. At the end of the day it’s about safety first and we had a solution to cheer us up when we got back to Popcorn. We're Phil and Nicola, a couple of Yorkshire Puddings, who bought a 20 ...

Hi it is a fantastic video. Back in the 1990s local folk singer jimmie macgregor walked the west highland way from milngavie to fort william. It is a lovely walk from the outskirts of glasgow to the small highland town of fort william. Ben nevis is the climax to the marathon walk but it is worth it for the sheer breathtaking stunning scenery.
@@barrymontgomery408 we really loved our time on the West Highland Way
Really good videos. I'm doing it in a week or so, and the exact same stop pattern!
@@TheRamblingHiker that's brilliant👏 thankyou for your comment. You're going to love it and hope those midges stay away 😂
I been there too
Absolutely stunning lake. Phil the camera man 🤣🤣 x
Haha yeah 😂
Hey bro Do u think i can make it to the cabin now ?
Hi Zayn. It totally depends if snow is still up there, but I'm guessing it will be good now. Thanks for watching.
Hey! What day did you attempt this climb? I am looking to make the climb myself and wondering if the conditions might now be suitable
Hey 👋 We attempted this on the 20th April. So unless they've had some more snow I think you would be good!! We were gutted. The climb up is brilliant. We really hope you make it to the cabin and enjoy your stay! You'll have to let us know if you make it! Have fun x
Check your romantic meal for 2 on top of the mountain! Hope you enjoyed you beer after your deformed at the bottom.
Also great effort from Phil on saving the van!
Oh Jammy!!! It was so scary! But Phils deffo got the skills 🚌
@@BussinAndBackpacking defiantly has!
Great effort from you both, some skills and courage shown what a day for you both!
my god typical American
Fantastic videos! I'm starting my solo WHW adventure this Thursday and if I have half as good a time as you guys, I'll be delighted! :)
Ah wow! How exciting you're about to start!!! You're going to love it! Best of luck to you and have a great journey 👍 😀 thankyou for your lovely comment 😊
@@BussinAndBackpacking ps I LOVE the smooch-on-a-bridge tradition - so sweet! 😘
@@WillisWanders haha yeah! It's a good tradition... although there are many bridges on the WHW 🤣 enjoy your trip!
It is awesome

It looked great and you really enjoyed it. Thats what makes a good holiday a great holiday. Eugene in Ireland 🇮🇪 😊👍
Ah thankyou Eugene! You're absolutely right. We're hoping to do a trip in Ireland at some point so if you have any places you recommend send them our way! 🇮🇪
Nicely presented this upload guys! Scenery is just fantastic and that sound around 10:06 😅😅
Hi @Ervinslens. Thanks for your kind comments, and yes, I'm sorry you had to hear my sounds at 10:06-10:09 😂😂😂😂 thanks for following 😀
Well done guys 👍
Thanks Colin 😀
Bloody hell, I was on edge just watching you 😬, what an experience and you couldn’t have done it on a nicer day with perfect views! 🏔️ Nicola’s got balls of steel! 💪🏻
Haha I know Scott 🤣 it was so much fun though!!! Even though I (Nicola) had no Saliva in my mouth for most of it 😅
Many more do this today because they just can’t afford the housing ☝🏼
Absolutely amazing. Visit k2 and Nangaparbat view point. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower
Thank you for your detailed recommendation. We'll definitely look into this. 😜💪
@@BussinAndBackpacking ohh really 🤣🤣
Fantastic 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Elaine ❤️
It’s alright for some 😅
And we'll be back at work in August 😭
better yet start an avalanche 😅
Not the Sidemen. THE Slidemen
Happy Easter 🐣 😅
Happy Easter Ranbir from Mr and Mrs Shenanigans 🐣
Creaky door 😅 . . . I don’t know if I would want to sleep above Phil in a both! 😶🌫️ What on earth is Nicola doing crossing that stream!?! 💦😂
Hahahaha I was waiting for someone to comment on that 🤣 and of course it was you that heard Phils farts on the daily 🤣🤣 and don't even mention that stream... im an absolute nightmare on a slippy rock 🤣
Well done to you all! My husband and I are starting in July, aiming to complete it in 7 days. Our itinerary is very similar to yours so thank you for all of the helpful tips and suggestions 💜 well done again!
Ah this is brilliant!!! You're going to love it 😀 and glad we've given you some tips. Go smash it 💪
Yep❤
What an entertaining video , Mr and Mrs Shenanigans 😅.
Haha thankyou Ranbir from Mr & Mrs Shenanigans 🤣
Yea...that's how my rest breaks in the woods (with my wife) starts off too 😜😏
Snap!💥😂
Haha yep! We know that 🚶♂️ 🚶♀️ 🚶♂️
@@BussinAndBackpacking great to see you having so much fun together, where are you off to next?
@@scottthompson405 ah thanks Scott. We will be heading into Italy after Austria to the Dolomites then finally down into Morocco 🥰
@@BussinAndBackpacking THE DOLOMITES!!! 😃⛰️ I looked at doing that last year, but I needed more time to plan it - extremely jealous - look forward to seeing the videos!
@@scottthompson405 Yes! We are super excited! We are filming it all so the videos will be there to give you ideas and get some inspiration 🤩
Well done i did it a few years ago i did it in five days and ended up with blisters on top of blisters. To avoid the midges April and May are the best months to go.😃
Ah brilliant! Not the blisters though 🥴 awful. We knew before we went it was the absolute worst time of year to go for midges but its the only time we could get off work to go. It was worth it... just 🦟
Brilliant video.. can’t believe you got ALL that in your rucksacks 😅
Neither can we 😱 we took waaayy too much
@@BussinAndBackpacking I always do, I don’t seem to know the meaning of pack light! 😅
@@scottthompson405 Yes! Your bag was heavier than ours right? Super man 💪
@@BussinAndBackpacking My pack was definitely the heaviest 💪🏻 not that that’s a good thing! 🙄😅
@@scottthompson405 it's amazing what you get used to carrying isn't it.
Love it, you 2 have got some serious moves 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha Get Phil a job at TBL 🧡
Miss Shenanigans 😅
Hahaha 🤣 so many shenanigans
Wow guys that looks amazing, not the 5 mile hike though 🤣🤣🤣🤣 x
Haha Elaine 😄 you deffo do more miles running about for Tom 🤣
@@BussinAndBackpacking 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Fair point, I just don't have my walking boots on 🥾🥾🥾🥾 👍 x
@@ElaineBall-z6z haha 😄 exactly
Loved the videos! Looking forward to going in May, also from Leeds 😁
Thank you Emily. You'll have a great time in May. We have so many videos to make from UK, Norway hikes etc, so watch this space. 😁
@@BussinAndBackpacking fab, Norway is definitely on my list!
Wow, what a fantastic film and well done. You had a great gang to walk with and loads of good craic. I will start my WHW solo walk in mid May this year 2024, much the same as you train to Glasgow and camping etc. thank you for a brilliant film, well done and all the best. 🍻👍👍👍
Ah nice one Chris!!! Good luck with your trip in May! You'll have to let us know how you get on! This thru hike is one we will remember forever ⛰️ Thankyou for your lovely message!
Well done 🍺👍
Thankyou! Cheers 🍻
What time of the year please?
This was August 😁
What a great ending to the journey 👌. Loved all the videos , it be great to watch them all again in one go 😅. The waterfall looked amazing 🤩. I think sheep liked you all. 😊. Great work 👏👏👏
Ah Ranbir! Thankyou! Good memories for us in these videos. Because sometimes you only remember the struggle 🤣 so at least we have proof we enjoyed it 😅
Well done , we start in 3 weeks . Super excited to start . !!!
Amazing! Hope you have a great experience! You'll have to let us know how you get on. Enjoy it ⛰️😎
Well done to all involved you both looked like you really enjoyed your experience. 💪👌🏻👍🏻 the views the sheep waterfalls credit to you. Any tips throw my way 😀😀 enjoy your celebration drink
Thanks Darren! We really did enjoy it. Highs and lows as every long thru hike has but it was a great experience. And just being in Scotland made it ⛰️ Enjoy your time along the WHW let us know how you get on 🚶♂️
Also, tips wise... keep your bag as light as you can. We took way too much food as there were so many opportunities along the way to re stock and eat good meals. So we could have kept the weight down there.
@@BussinAndBackpacking I’ve hired a bag transport company for my big rucksack so able to travel with just waterproof clothing spared socks & snacks so looking forward to it just keep watching various RUclips videos.
@@darrenray6934 ah nice one! You'll be sorted then 👍 Have a great time
That sheep was so chilled out 🐑😎 I’ve never come across another one like it! 😂
So chilled out 🐑 Crazy!
Congratulations on your achievement. Loved watching your progress.😀
Thankyou so much. It's been great making the videos and remembering the bits you forget when all you can think about is Midges and the rain 😅
Hemil hamspstead snow centre!?!?!?
Looks like the chill factor
It's chill factore in Manchester ⛷️
Can’t wait to see you getting up to your shnaggigans 😅
🤣🤣🤣
5 mins in you would like me when I walk to the shops 😂😂
🤣🤣 need that inhaler
Glad of your reviews as I am staying on most of the sights you have apart glencoe. Which I’ll be at red squarrel camp sight You both given me ideas for my slog in may 👍🏻
That's brilliant 👏 we're just making the last day now. We stayed at Glen Nevis campsite for our final stay before heading back to Yorkshire. Perfect for if you want to finish with Ben Nevis at the end ⛰️ glad we've helped you with some ideas! We watched a few videos but wish we knew what we did now. Good luck for May 🚶♂️
Glen Nevis is my last stay. Then having a week various spots on way home Doncaster 👍🏻 blisters are my only fear 😀
@@darrenray6934 brilliant 👏 Yeah Phil had so many blisters but he managed to keep them under control. I didn't get any at all. Just luck of the draw I guess doesn't matter how worn in your footwear is and how good your socks are does it. Have an amazing time
Another great video. 👍 Shame about your stay the night before . Only complaint I’ve got is .., videos are too short 😅
Haha Ranbir 😅 Thankyou ❤️ we were just getting used to the camera really on this trip. We've got so much good footage from our Norway trip that the videos will have some great content 👌 thankyou for watching and commenting. It really means alot. Nicola & Phil
