I have a love hate relationship with reaper. On one hand its features are killer and it's great at what it does well. On the other hand, you need to spend a huge amount of time customizing every little thing to get it to work how you need it, and I often feel that I spend more time tinkering with workflow hacks than actually writing any music when I use it

You should also make a video reviewing their 2024 album when it comes out in November!!!

I would probably put Canned Ravioli up more as it has some of my favourite FoO songs in Ravioli, Do you Want too, and 31st of October. Part of it could be that Across the road is more recent to me as I finally watched it recently while a lot of the other videos and albums I've had years with. I guess a good thing about taking so long to watch it is seeing the context of what Rob was going through at the time of making that album/video. If you haven't done it yet I think it would be cool to do something like this for Sonic BOOM's songs

Honestly on Chaos I really like the riffs, but I *hate* the mix. This should be totally my album, but coming from that background Im just frustrated. Across the Road has a great mix, but when I see the video and Rob is sitting behind the drumset while andrew is playing the rest of the instruments makes me a bit sad.

Is ableton ugly though? Imo it looks minimalistic and clean.

We have very different musical tastes. For me it's sad that Rob were through a lot of stuff while recording Across the Road but the results were great. Gourmet Ravioli is a great album for me, not just because of Ravioli but I like all of the songs. Chaos is my favorite, I think they were so tight recording and finishing the album with some hours to spare giving them an opportunity to rework some songs really made it great. But that's only my opinion

I recently got Artificial Streaming Flagged out of no where email from tunecore saying that i was using a company or 3rd party service for exposure gain in and that i could get my account exterminated if i kept on doing it , I’ve been working with this people for over 5 years now and never used type of service to boost my music , i have emailed then several times about the subject and all they do is ignore me , i don’t know what to do at this point because when i try to use some of the tools on there it tells me that the feature is currently accessible for my account at this time, because of an additional suspicious activity!! Like wtf are they talking about. I need help cause i got money in there (savings) and its not 10K its + so if can get any advice i would really appreciate it.

My ranking: 1. Across The Road Only one bad song, "Sunlight, Sunlight". The rest are absolute masterpieces. Andrew really topped his game on this one. Most album-y album they've done. 2. Ten Hours Just... a classic. 3. GREG Trying to come up with words to describe this album and the only one that comes to mind is 'magical'. Would almost put it at #2. 4. Chaos Too many Halloween songs. On their own they are fine but stacking them one after another doesn't really do it for me. Other songs are quite fun though. 5. Gourmet Ravioli Feels unfinished and rushed and that's the worst feeling to get when listening to an album. Only song I really care about is Ravioli.

You left out the “Be. Goblin. Be be, be be goblin.” part!!

The first album is so slept on in my opinion. Of all of them this has the most classics in my opinion.

As somebody that grew up using Windows 95, I rather enjoy the Reaper aesthetics. It's simple, straightforward and not convoluted beneath "looking gorgeous."

They are fckd up man, Im trying to get my releases sorted but they are taking years to reply and they keep on changing those serving clients, They are boring AF.

yknow the worst aprt about this you cant even cancel the subscription or if you can they hide it really well to the point where you'll give up majority of the time the only way you can cancel it from what i know is blocking it from your banking or the way i did it was i had my paypal connected to it so i disabled it through its auto payment section

So...I'm not the only one It took me weeks before Tunecore finally published my album.They kept sending me messages telling me my release was rejected. But they never told me why! I changed titles and information and finally...finally my album was released. I Payed...and I payed more, and now tunecore is taking my $9,35 a month.. for what? It's been a few months now. Now I know I'm not Lenny Kravitz or Deep Purple or whoever. But I expected a little more result than the $2,79 that's displayed for a few weeks now. It seems that I now have to pay more money to get my stuff promoted. Not gonna happen.

those painful preferences settings are the least of a trade off for how beast of an efficient & low intensive on your PC program that reaper is... ive come to accept the menus, and say - it is what it is, and i now kind of dont bat an eyelid about it, and just appreciate that i have a software that is the fastest opening daw i can ask for to get my creativity out there.

Ive used many DAW's at this point but mainly FL for 16 years, ableton for 5 and bitwig and reaper for about half a year and there is just no contesting bitwig and reaper. If i could combine those two DAW's it would be sheer perfection.

If you’re thinking of using Tunecore, DON’T! Their service is an absolute nightmare. They’ve got ridiculous, inconsistent guidelines that waste your time. For example, they obsess over minor things like having names on album covers, but big artists like Russ don’t follow those rules. How does that even make sense? Uploading music is a frustrating process, and customer service is practically useless. I switched to Tunecore for a better experience, but it’s easily the worst distributor out there. I’m done with their nonsense and switching to a better platform. Save yourself the trouble and AVOID TUNECORE. This is hands down the worst distributor in the game. 👎

Trie Distrokid with same music and albums...earned 50$ in one year...tried TuneCore and earned around 800$ in one year...i think choice is obvious Never had any issue with Tunecore as I been clieant for years.

It's an extra $45 bucks to create up to 100 bands. You have to invest in yourself first to be taken serious.

WTF, I never had a bad experience with tunecore but now i'm aware of this. Songtradr did something like this to me 2 years ago and stealed me like 6 thousand dollars...

TuneCore website against my will generated ISRC and UPC even though I was typing in my own ISRC & UPC. And through email they started to help me even let me put in my own UPC but they won’t allow me to put in my own ISRC. Do you know what I can do to get them to allow me to put in my own ISRC? Also I don’t know how to erase the single I was releasing even though I didn’t even get to the part of down loading my music.
