My personal favorite for CGI cutscenes is probably the one that plays when Sonic goes super against Dark Gaia. It's just filled with that 2000s energy with the super elaborate designs of Dark and Light Gaia, and the animation of the emeralds circling around Sonic before exploding with power. CGI Sonic cutscenes were memorable because when they appeared, that's when you knew shit was getting real. Hope the budget increase from Frontiers lets them do more CGI again Also, for a video idea, how about underrated Sonic abilities? (Not limited to just Sonic though)

I’d say this list checks out, would probably move a few entries around, but overall, yeah, seems pretty accurate to me at least picks-wise. Say what you want about Lost World though, its intro definitely deserves an honorable mention. Also, while not my first Sonic game, Colors and its intro are 100% near and dear to my heart. Though I wouldn’t be exposed to the Wii version for years. I got the DS version for Christmas way back in Elementary School, it is still one of the games I go back and replay the most. At this point, I’m legit trying to 100% it, though that may take a bit to find those last tricky few red rings and who knows what else I’ll need to fill out the gallery. It’s gonna be so cool though!

1. Unleashed Intro 2. 06 Intro 3. Shadow 05 Intro 4. Black Knight Intro 5. Sonic Riders Zero Gravity Intro These are the ones that get me hyped (even though I didn't play the last two)

My favorite was the unleashed intro!! The music, the cinematics, the animation... everything just seems to peak in that one for me. I saw a whole video here on youtube detailing every single frame and why each aspect is so good.

I'm shocked that the Sonic 06 opening wasn't on this list. that is personally my second favorite Sonic CGI cutscene. I understand it isn't everyone's cup of tea though. I do love that Sonic and the Black Knight's cutscene is your favorite. To this day that game has my favorite portrayal of Sonic ever.

I see a lot of you mentioning Sonic 06's intro, and I do love that intro! But its not among my personal favorites.
