Yeah I’m fairly certain that’s the official Nintendo Switch 2 we’re looking at. Might even actually be white. Although it would be cool if they did all black with different color buttons and joy cons.

switch two on ds would be awsome! that way you don't need to buy a ds and R4 to replay them well lets face it games that need the mic just don't work well on emulation

They already have a game cube controller that will backward compatible. So no, joycons just for Smash is dumb. Let's be real, you can't really play Smash Brothers in the portable configuration. It's a multiplayer game. Couch co-op is negated in the portable scenario. Don't get me wrong, people will play portable, but do we really see a big enough marketplace for people that want joycons with game cube button locations to warrant Nintendo creating this? If the 3rd party controller manufacturers start making a profitable one, then Nintendo will entertain the idea. But they aren't going to make that investment without the market data that would pay for the tooling and design costs for a different product.

They wont be. Its Nintendo we're talking about. They might re-release gamecube controllers again for the switch 2, but thats about it.

DS definitely could get added since they already have it started with Wii U Virtual Console, but I highly doubt 3DS will. It's hard to tell when we don't know what the Switch 2 will look like, it might even have the same form factor as the 3DS. Mainline Pokémon getting added is virtually impossible, however. Nintendo is definitely building up NSO for the long run and integrating any Pokémon games would take a lot of effort, a lot of Pokémon is about trading and multiplayer and it would take a lot of time to set up HOME integration and set up Pokémon in the same way they did the GBA multiplayer. But I don't think it will happen since it hasn't yet. (There is at least one DS game that was remade on the Switch, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.)

Some Fans brought out the DNA Duo for the Steam Deck, so you can play DS Games just like a Nintendo DS/Dsi/3Ds. Maybe Nintendo will bring out something like this, but I doubt it.

The switch does have a vertical mode built into it i doubt theyll do it but its not impossibe or anything They xould also just do the side by side screens like with ds collections The mode is TATE mode if you were wondering

I personally don’t think they will, but if they do they’d have to redesign the video game UI to fit the Switch.

I honestly hope they don't make another handheld. I mean think about it........ We don't need 2 switches. We need a new Nintendo Full Console to compete with the othe 2 (ps5) & (xbox). Now that I think about it we already have 3 Switches literally. (Light), (Switch) & (OLED)

Nintendo will botch this launch too. Garenteed. Be prepared for scalpers. Personally I'd rather wait 6 months until the Switch 2 emulator hits the market. I grew up with an original NES, but I can't in good conscience give a dime to a company as toxic as Nintendo.

I am going to buy it whenever I have the money for it. If I have enough when I can pre-order, I pre-order, if I got enough on release I buy on release, and if I get enough later on I will buy it later on I like nintendo consoles so even if it's garbage I'm gonna get it

Nintendo Switch 2 is the most likely name and best for straightforward marketing. But I wouldn’t mind “Super Nintendo Switch”

The Switch 2 NEEDS to have a very slim, hard shell protective case, that allows for play on the go; in the same way they made for the Switch lite. It baffles me that 7 years later; Nintendo still never made a case for Switch or Switch oled, like the one they made for the Switch lite and I had to search high and low for anything remotely similar for the OLED and Switch, almost 6 years later. If I am gonna be crying a 8 inch screen safety and playing it conveniently; then it better have a GOOD case not those chunky travel cases.

Would be cool to have a port-less charging dock that allows the switch to act as a clock with Nintendo animations. With their own themes, like one for Zelda, Mario, etc.
