It is weird. It is weird that at the same time as so many heresies spread, christianity is at its largest yet. As the world has shrunk dimmer than the dark ages, so many profess a weak and feminite Jesus. It is weird that at a time when a holy war is needed most, those same professors defame the crusades. It is weird that even the low church protestant sees the need for an authentic Christianity, that think which they themselves broke.

Amen! The Bible was made to be understood. Our Lord said “Behold I have told you all things”. And again Peter spoke “knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” Preach!

Though I agree, to an extent. Why not join the foundational church of orthodoxy. You are already seeing the fruits of reformation which is a schism of a schism.
The reasons of not going back to the orthodox church is the differences of belief on original sin and salvation. I believe that some, not all, protestants have just gone too far in valuing experience over scripture. So the reform is back to the foundational protestant doctrines. The main schism branch from the Orthodoxy Branch

That doesn't mean only those experiencers are the only avenue for learning. The secretive nature of non mainstream religions have mostly dissolved because freedom of religion is a core concept in modern societies

Great, now check out Ken Wilson's writings on Augustinian doctrines derived from gnosticism (he had been a gnostic) which continued through to Reformed theology via Luther (an Augustinian monk) and Calvin (who claimed everything he taught could be found in Augustine).
Augustine didn’t teach Gnosticism, he denounced it and taught Christ. Even though he was refuted his mothers Christianity at the beginning, ultimately he denounced and taught against the Manichaeism that he once believed.
No problem at all.. if an angel from heaven tells you something that doesn't align with scripture.. it's not from God.. God will NEVER contradict scripture. I have had many maricals in my life and not once did it point me away from scripture but instead pointed to scripture.

Super intrigued by the idea of a “reformed Pentecostal” who are some of your theological influences and how similar is your theology to someone like John piper?
I like John Piper. Reformed Pentecostal is reformed in theology but believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how God works through believers has not changed since the apostles.

I grew up in word of faith, bethel, NAR circles- got saved a few years ago and have leaned heavily on the reformers (mainly Luther and Calvin along with puritans like Edward and owen) and reformed teachers (sproul, piper, Lawson, washer and others) but am still charismatic. My wife and I are members at a local Calvary Chapel. I’m excited to check out more of your channel and learn more about how you’ve come to your theological conclusions!!

I ask this question sincerely and respect Christianity and my fellow man. If that statement was said by man, recorded by man, and regurgitated my man, for the purpose of removing all doubts that certain prophecies of men were originated from man, WHY would one reasonably trust in the word of man? If God were truly behind those prophecies, why did he leave it up for debate, specifically, why would he make it so the most rational argument is that said prophecies are obviously created by men? Why would he want to save only a small fraction or his creation over the ages. To believe in God is to believe in the word of man, and that alone goes against the FIRST TWO commandments.

Tell me, is love something you can turn on and off? "I command you to love me!". Does that work or is it another case of christians redefining the word to meet their designs?
There is a context in which Jesus spoke that command. 1st off He was talking to the Pharisees who already claimed to follow the Law. And they asked Jesus what the greatest commandment was. So He answered love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. He then Followed that with Love you neighbor as you love your self. The Pharisees were always trying to trick Jesus but they never could, instead they were the ones left knowing they were hypocrites. Do you follow Jesus?
