Heath Thorpe is my favorite male gymnast because his routines stand out from the other men especially floor excercise where the floor patterns are all the same and there isn’t any “artistic” value. Virtuosity is all but gone and forget the basic toe point. And regarding the men’s roundoff looks hideous. It’s just as bad as watching women do wolf turns. Ugh!

Mohini in 2004 was so mentally strong and superb a gymnast that she dealt with this situation and this unnecessary additional pressure with the grace of a Goddess. She was rightfully chosen to be on that team, and rightfully she was the team Captain.

Campi kept injuring herself at nationals, missed the trials, then again at the second closed door trials, and then at training camp in France. She should had been kick off the selection team and had Wendy and Kim be the decisions of who would be #6 and #7

This was explained to me as a disconnect between the neurons of the nervous system and the inner ear which is the part that guides us through twists and turns in the air. after years of gymnastics so that we land on our feet...same for figure skaters...
