Corded Andis Master Clipper Review
It's a pro lence from AliExpress, but more expensive!
You get no views because no one can understand the title of the video.
@@SavoyProductionz how does one not understand?
What camera are you using to record your videos? Thanks for showing the zero gap. I’m waiting on my Play trimmer from the pre-order.
@@MoeMoe-do1fd nice! No problem! I’m using my iPhone 16 pro
This or play trimmer?
@@goransvensson5547 they are both good in their own ways but the play trimmers stays a lot cooler
How do you like the cordless Fast Feed so far?
@@ginoames I really didn’t like it at all. I got rid of it. It’s comfortable in the hand but that’s about it. The blade wobbled and the lever was very inconsistent. Definitely go corded with the fast feeds.
Thanks. I've been using the corded for years but that "cordless " keeps trying to pull me in. Sadly I just have not seen the positive reviews on Osters cordless stuff.
Good Video. I changed the blade to the black one and it doesn’t get hot anymore. Great clipper overall.
@@joeskichavez395 I will give that a shot thank you for the suggestion!
Should buy i the XO trimmer or the play trimmer
If you already have a trimmer with a wider blade I would suggest the Play trimmer.
Gamma cyborgs
tpob on top
Yes!!
My next cop 🥵
Not a bad choice at all!
I thought that the chunk blade was going to be like the Andis Phat Blade ... BTW Andis has started selling the Phat Masters Blade Again...
I absolutely love the Phat blade!
Which other company precision blades can fit this? I think andis slimline or maybe stylecraft precision blade? I know the wide U-blades like psycho can't fit surprisingly...but stylecraft u-blade and t-blade/precision have closer holes to each other, will those work?
@@axiosw0774 I am not sure. This has a similar blade design and construction as the JRL trimmer with the EZ Gap system. Whatever blades fit the JRL trimmer might also fit this one.
What brand is the tool mat and where did you get it ?
@@KentuckyMan it’s the PMW1 Plug N Play Clipper And Trimmer Magnetic Board. professor_miraclewrist1 on Instagram makes them.
This or saber?
@@goransvensson5547 I’m not sure, I’ve never used the Saber but I have heard good things about it.
This.
This n better price
Saber is a special tool for various reasons namely the blade but I’d definitely give this a try as well!
@ saber is my nr 1 but i wait for play trimmer now
Can the Psycho bladd fit on it?
No
@@BigT1523 no these trimmers have a different blade construction to where the psycho or crazy can’t fit.
What is that magnetic thing you have for your guards!?
@@clippercolt looks like a jrl trimmer blade
@@RyanAlca it’s the PMW1 Plug N Play Clipper And Trimmer Magnetic Board. professor_miraclewrist1 on Instagram makes them.
That's a madeshow trimmer rebranded.
Similar to what JRL has done with their clippers and trimmers.
There's like 5 whole factories who make clippers and trimmers. All the clippers are pretty much rebranded Chinese garbage.
Can you put a psycho blade on it?
@@BigT1523 no not on these ones. They have a different blade and cam structure.
U can probably use a jrl blade modded i’ll try and a create a mod, i will update
Great trimmer but had to switch out the blade. Love it though
@@seanyredd same here. I love the shape of the Lo Pros!
I do have another question, if you have the time: If I wanted to just buzz my head and leave like a stubble (I don't know the right terminology), would you say the TPOB Play would be more than sufficient or would you recommend something like the TPOB X with a really short guard? Thanks in advance.
@@chiefhokie the Play is definitely sufficient for that.
@@clippercolt thank you, good sir!
Can we talk about the Chunk Blade??? lol
@@lamartsunami777 it’s a good blade I prefer the XO play blade on the Play though. I’ve heard good things about the chunk on the X deluxe clippers.
How do you like them
@@jodye777 I like them a lot! Not for bulk removal but for lineups and designs they’ve been amazing. Especially with the smaller pencil blade.
@ I think if the blade was gapped closer it could be
Are you going to adjust the blade at all or is it set to your liking out of the box?
I think I probably will. I used them all week just straight out of the box and they are good but I think they have a lot more potential once they’re gapped more.
@clippercolt will you make a video when you gap them? That would be great, no one clearly shows how to do it they only mention the tool
@ I sure can! I went a little bit more in depth with my actual review video I did in case you haven’t seen that one yet.
Thanks for the review. Probably a stupid question, but I'm not a barber so I rather ask: Since this has a lever for different lengths, does that mean that there is no need to buy separate trimmer guards (mainly the short ones, like say like #1 - #3) because the lever basically acts like a guard? Thanks!
@@chiefhokie thank you for watching! You would still need to buy the guards. This lever opens from a 000-1 but the 1 it opens to is not the same as a 1 guard. It’s a little bit shorter. For example, when someone says they want a “1 and a half” on the sides, as a barber I will put the 1 guard on with the lever fully open and that is essentially a 1 and a half. The lever is also mostly used for blending between guards. If you set a guide line with the 1 guard you can then put the 2 guard on and go up a bit higher and to get the line out between the two guards you’d use the 1 guard open.
@@clippercolt just wanted to thank you for taking the time to elaborate on my question, it's appreciated!
You don't use your corded Andis Masters anymore?
I still do. I like to switch it up sometimes but I always find myself going back to the trusty corded masters.
Bro, which combo do you recommend more, the TPOB Play or the TPOB Deluxe? thank you
@@asdrubalurdaneta9173 they are both great in their own ways, but if I had to choose one then it’s the Play for sure.
@clippercolt You say you would stay with the play, yes?
@@asdrubalurdaneta9173 yes
amazon has both the green ones and the white ones sold by tpob on sale rn for under $100. needed an excuse to get them
@@cm_hairlabz that’s a great deal. I just got my second set delivered yesterday from when the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal was going on
Hows the chunk blade
@@DavidRosales-f3g it’s a good blade but I will say I ended up switching back to the regular XO Play blade. I just love the shape of that blade.
I bought it but I don’t use it it’s loud and no powerful at all
@@shwannapoli9506 that’s unfortunate. I haven’t heard of anyone having a loud Play before.

@@YugiohAce great choice 👍 I have another set coming with the white and black grips.
Does the chunk blade crunch like the masters blade?
@@coreymatthews7144 the blade has a good crunch but nothing beats the sound of the master blade imo.
A properly tuned Andis Master (corded) is one of the quietest clipper ever made
@@nusense808 definitely
I wonder if the andis double magnetic guards fit this blade ?
@@PANTERALEO56 I tried, they don’t 😔 the screws get in the way and the blade is a bit shorter in length than the master blade.
@@clippercolt how close to a taper blade is it
@@PANTERALEO56 it’s for sure a taper blade
@@clippercolt yeah I'm just debating if it would even be worth it since you can't use the Andis Guards
Let me rephrase that I know it's a Taper Blade but my Question should have been compared to a Wahl or Oster Blade in your Opinion
I just received mine yesterday. I swear this is the madeshow standard blade from aliexpress. Just like the madeshow blade on the inside of this tpob blade , engraved it says v power. I paired he still blade with the jeep blue colored cutting blade and OH MAN . the crunch is almost identical to the Andis masters. A high pitch crunch like loose change. With that set say good bye to my cordless masters... I did test these blades on my kemei km-8536 and it's a beautiful set up. But I'll be testing on my play soon. I ordered the madeshow standard blade and I am so sure the tpob chunk blade are the same.
@@DoritosResidue I’ve never used Madeshow but that could definitely be the case. The Play uses the same cam follower/spring/screws as the Madeshow on AliExpress, which is also what JRL uses.
you guys realise that china have brands they sell in china to chinese people right lol, its the most populated country in the world. madeshow isnt meant to see the light of day in usa
@@DoritosResidue madeshow also makes jrl clippers and mrd made stylecraft....I love knowing the truth behind the scenes lol Aya yall Stay Blessed By The Best 💯
Is this blade for the tpob play clippers
@@willieweemsiii2877 yes
@clippercolt tpob did a video with chunk blade on tpob x clippers and not the tpob play clippers that's why I asked
@@willieweemsiii2877 oh yeah I saw that one I need to try it on the X still. It works really well on the Play!
@clippercolt where can I buy chunk blades from
I saw chunk blade on tpob website but according to pictures of chunk blade it does not show small blade that goes underneath big chunk blade but I bought 2 chunk blades anyway and a extra pair of tpob play clippers...couldn't escape the great deals on tpob website
What this blade does?
It’s more of a traditional taper style blade rather than a fade blade. Very similar to the Andis taper blade shape.
Will this blade fit on tpob play clippers @clippercolt
@@willieweemsiii2877yes
It cuts hair
@waltercruz9651 cuts hair very well with a lil crunch sound...I have no complaints
how they holding up a year later?
@@moonashraf2382 they’re my go-to’s! I’ve been trying out different kinds of new clippers this year but always end up picking these up. Very reliable and consistent!
Did Andis change the packaging?
@@azharihamid9992 yeah they updated all their packaging to go with their new branding!
How you like these? I just graduated and been using corded seniors in school but I want to try something new that’s not corded or wahl. I like the click levers and helps my stay more consistent. I’ve narrowed it down to these in sand or the onyx
@@jt2475 I made a review on these and they’re alright but the blades on these ones get very hot very quickly. I’ve been wondering if they fixed that issue with the newer color ways.
Try the tpob play their just like the onyx but better price 🫡
@ I love the Plays I use them daily
Can you make a video on how to zero gap them? It’s my first andis machine ,please thank you 🙏🏼
Is it more Powerful than the previous ?
Same power if I’m not mistaken.
🗑
@@joeearz8556 have you used them yet?
Terrible as expected. Idk why folks thought they were doing something new! I already knew just like these other OG companies; they were just going to paint it another color and put a different blade on it.
They cut wonderfully
Same shit to me
Do they open up to 1.5 guard
@@eirebarbers no, close to a 1 but not as much as the Andis Masters do
It’s only going to get even more wild! Wait! M force I believe is going to be a thing that as long as people are feeling the magnetic field tension that takes out wear then it’s game over
@@the_original_Versastyles yes! M-Force is a game changer
It seems to be a textured powder coat. As far as the switch goes I believe it was designed a bit tighter because wear is always in mind as andis clippers seem to be more durable then many others. Also Wahl makes some solid tools. But andis seems to last forever. Also the tools are coming zero gapped from factory. The settings are set actually digitally from a massive calibration system
@@the_original_Versastyles that is why I’ll always use Andis. They are the best all around and their blades are THE best
Love the idea, this is something that I will definitely try.
There still loud but I gotta have them
Does it come with battery or is it internal?
@@beastmode1715 it’s an internal battery. It comes with a charging dock too!
Don't zero gap
