REINFORCED CONCRETE DESIGN SOFTWARE FOR SAP2000, ETABS AND CSIBRIDGE
VIS Concrete Design Software was developed by CSI Italia, with the intent of expanding SAP2000, ETABS and CSiBridge design capabilities to meet specific Eurocode requirements. Development of VIS started in 2004 and continues through these days, striving to make the CSI programs ever more suited for use in the European market.
VIS is a software package for the design of reinforced concrete structures based on the Eurocodes as code of reference. It works in conjunction with the CSI programs: either SAP2000, ETABS or CSi Bridge. VIS provides a family of plug-in tools fully integrated with these programs and capable of enhancing their design capabilities to a high degree of refinement. If you are a CSi user and work with the Eurocodes for your concrete design, then VIS could be the software you are looking for.

01 - SAP2000 definition of a tower object
Towers is an integrated plugin tool for the SAP2000 analysis program, which implements specific functionalities for the analysis and design of multistory buildings.
In this video we will see how to properly define and manage the tower objects inside a structural model.
Essentially, a tower object is defined by two key components:
- a group of elements;
- a set of assigned floor diaphragms.
The selected group identifies the tower's structure, while the assigned diaphragms identify the corresponding story elevations.

Hi Matteo, and thank you for you comment! Towers indeed adds some specific functionalities to SAP2000 which have been conceived to significantly enhance the post processing phase for multistory buildings. As you may know, ETABS is the industry standard for the design of medium and high rise buildings, as all the modeling and output phases have been specifically designed for this task. There are still numerous advantages in ETABS with reference to this particular sector. With Towers however, you can combine the unmatched SAP2000 capability of modeling generic structures, with some additional features that extend its functionalities for building design. We think that this combination could help a lot of our SAP2000 users around the globe!
