I’m sorry, but this is sublime. Bamboo fly rod is also sublime, yet less so. Both involve sensitive artistry wrought from raw materials we uploaded in a former epoch. Truly the place which I go to seeking the highest level of musical embrace, is this, or Stella Blue. Permanent resident of the Bluelight Hotel over here. The gratitude I have for living in this era, for having drank in 86 dead shows and hundreds of approximations, and for a few other artists that infiltrate me 🫣, the people I’ve shared it with, the heart it all opened in me, and finally, for me, for bending that ear initially so long ago, and throwing a grappling hook onto the yoke of China > Rider 9/24/82 What is a Dead show anyway? It’s a joy, a thrill, a pensiveness, a memory. It’s a curiosity, it’s an adoption, an adventure, and an assertion. It’s a communion, a confession, a sacrifice and binding contract. A rodeo, chiropractic and a circus of smiles. It’s factors more profound to us than the others would bet. It’s a gift. An anointing.

Absolutely magic , Jerry.. Thank you Bob for providing the lyric❤Dylan : Forever
The fat man rocks. Red T era.
I loved this song on Dylan’s Bringing It All Back Home album long before I was introduced to the Dead. This version is even sweeter - slowed down and with Jerry’s heartfelt solos.
thnx for the sub bro. my kid skates but not bowls. 🙏👊like your band! very Dead.
Where are you located? Dig your vids
What a time.... I was in there and saw 12 out of 14 shows this tour.... thanks for the Post....
This one swings, that’s for certain.
Damn, nice version. These guys are pretty good! 👍
Bayag nio
I remember that guy with the laser beam
❤❤
Mesmerizing … Jerry in full control ,painting his Masterpiece in his way, a moving moment on his canvas of brilliance.Nothing more matters but being Thankful.
Big Boy Pete
Randiggitydoggggg
The Dead really embraced Dylan...more than Dylan even.
Trouble ahead Jerry in red
I fuckin love the grateful god damn dead!
taking some liberties with the order of the verses...
Kick Ass!
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Jerry's guitar solos!
The boys were really on that night. It was hit or miss in those years, but brilliant at times when they were hitting.
I vividly remember that spinning Amp thing, not the only year they had that.
Brent's Hammond B3
Easter Sunday 🐰 , Jerry in red, trouble ahead. Oh what a Great Show and a chilly crisp weekend. Brrr.
boy if this ain't a gem. awesome.
The fat man rocks!
Pretty sure id be plenty content with my stranded on an island music was all jerry covering dylan songs. His interpretations are beautiful
A kaleidoscope of hopes and dreams...that's how it felt to attend.
❤️
I kind of like the crowd shot shows.
Something about '83 to '86 grateful dead, Jerry so damn unhealthy, but the music so good, amazing, intriguing setlists, many many shows and cities, canyons ski resort, Hershey park, manor downs, a zoo in Oklahoma, weird right, kinda still an underground thing was GD and the scene. What a time for us kids who missed the 60's and were just learning how to read and write in 70's
My favorite era
he sounds like chandler from the friends reunion the other day. sheezus.
Yeah but at least he makes it up with his guitar playing. He’s not fumbling on the solos
After listening to this marvellous version for 35+ years since right after it happened, thanks to a killer late night radio show in Toronto, Live Dead Orgy, I finally get to SEE it as it went down for the first time... so gratifying, huge thanks to whomever recorded it and to you who kindly shared!
How do you like Spence's hulls? Do you still remember the dims on this board? Amazing ride
Spencer makes good custom boards. You can get it any way you want. This was pretty standard 7’1”, 18” nose, point break style hull. Flatter rocker because it was stringerless.
Jerry "Got" Dylan...
Jerry did Bobby good. Same roughness in his voice.
I was there, and remember it Well!!!!
Funny how 85 always seems overlooked. Lots of hidden gems that year. Garcia not looking too good health wise and I believe the drug use among the band was a bit out of control. The band was tired as well but this performance is nice. Damn I miss them 😢.
My favorite years are 82-85. When the band is on, they’re on fire!
Great version!
This is absolutely Lovely...
Nice. Curious - how did you do the conversion to video?
My dad had them converted to DVD a while back and I took it off the computer. I forgot what program I used but it was already digitized. I added my own music since it was silent film.
One thing is blatantly obvious. LIVE) Jerry would have sung Bob Dylan to sleep
I miss that guy
Dylan & The Dead! 🤠❤️⚡️💀🌹🎸🎵
So beautiful, thank you. ⚡🌹⚡🐾
Wow-Actually! 🗿💃🕺⚡gotta love-it No truer power, than at the "Ps" Puffin' de-kind-est🥗🦨🥀🔥💨💨👉 put out the "Walkin' the Dog" from the Philly Spectrum ...
85 is such a good year for the boys 20 years ... of a guy named big boy pete...so different since his passing
