'हिरोशिमा' कविता में सच्चिदानंद हीरानंद वात्स्यायन,' अज्ञेय ' ने परमाणु युद्ध की विभीषिका का वर्णन किया है और बताया कि ऐसा लगा जैसे सूर्य आकाश के बजाय हिरोशिमा नगर के मध्य में उग आया हो।
वर्ष 2024 का नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार जापान की संस्था निहोने हिड़ानक्यो को दिया गया है। यह संस्था परमाणु युद्ध से बचे और पीड़ित लोगों की सेवा में जुटी है।
कविता युद्ध की पीड़ा पर आधारित है।
इस कविता को पढ़ने के बाद, एस ओ एस ई गौतमपुरी के विद्यार्थियों ने जापान की इस पुरानी और ऐतिहासिक संस्था के पुरस्कृत होने पर विस्तृत विषय विश्लेषण में भाग लिया।
