@@oliviercharlesmorel impressive , it doesn't have the acrylic glossy look. Did you add something to the paint other than water ? Or was there a different base coat on the canvas ?

Quelle energie face a la besogne ! D où vient elle? D où vient ce besoin d envie de faire quelque chose plutot que rien ? Il y a en vous la transcendance qui s exprime a travers vos mains , ce mystere vous anime, vous émeut et vous epuise parfois et c est sans cesse un aller retour entre elle et vous.

I don't see the need to tape off that tree in the centre....
When you say "to tape off" the tree in the centre, do you mean "to remove" what was hiding the tree ? If that's what it is, it allows the trunk to be painted transparently, avoiding overloaded backgrounds.

I live in East Hampton, connecticut. just would love to start to do what you able do. Very difficult to know do I put on wall when plasterboard, do I get home depo to put food on wall then would the wood be flat enough for when put canvas on. what size wood etc.. thinking try oils hear can correct mistakes easily with oils as aposed to acrylics as drys faster. What best way creat composition, thinking underpainting etc.. I never studied art. But need also good lighting etc... many things to consider. But yep canvas type important. Like the thin one you have see people able also to tape onto wall rather than having to staple into plasterboard, thinking if remove wall look mess. etc.. very confusing
The best you could do is finding a good art course near where you live because videos are not reality, just part of it. Actually, you need to practice with a teacher. Good luck or your research and your practice !

For the canvas, I think it's better to see the quality of linnen and preparation, so to buy it directly in a furniture shop for artists. Where do you live ? There are different preparations according to the technic you use - oil or acrylic. A seller might help you.
