Busker and Wavedancer sailing the Andaman sea
Просмотров 21 тыс.8 лет назад
Sailing one beautiful Sunday afternoon, together with "Basker" and "Wavedancer" made us friends for life. The seas we sailed on was Chalong to Racha Island and about 12 Nm and back. Wind was about 12 to 15 Knots.
Wharram vs. Seascape, take this!!! T 38 "KALAYA`AN"

Kalaya`an (Freedom) is a new version of a Tiki 38. Launched on the 18th Nov. 2015 in Ao Chalong, Phuket.
Beau travail, bravo!
Where are you located? Can I make a visit?
fucking WOW! nice work!
Extra nice. Love the upgraded details. Seems like excellent craftsmanship. Wish we could have seen more of it. Thanks for showing it.
Ridiculously inappropriate muzak ! Great looking Wharram, though. 👍
สวยงามครับ
Such a beautiful boat. Where is it currently located?
God bless
How much did it cost to build? Does it have autopilot?
Best for You,best for boat:) how to order one?
Hello! What is the price of this model? How long in time? Where can I see your other works?
Beautiful boat.
This is my dream boat except with some more women in bikinis on it..
What was the cost?
Love the boat. The launch with fireworks so much more lively then pouring booze.
Gotta love the Asian countries, none of this nanny state nonsense from government. Imagine here in Australia having 3 dudes riding on a hull and trailer going under electrical cables down a busy road? My god it would make the news, it would be a big deal. Asian countries they don't bat an eye lid, god i love that attitude
taga pilipinas ba yung gumagawa?
Just gotta ruin it with that music .
"verses"...really? It's James' design, not yours, not Seascapes. If James had not lived this Tiki would never have been built. I'll grant that you build good, or even great boats but don't kid yourself that this is "verses" anything.
Thank you for your compliments. If I had not lived, ...Joel,.. THIS boat would have never be built either. ....what was your question again, please..?
@@seascapeasia7814 I did not ask a question. I made a statement. You are correct, if you had not lived *that* boat would not have been built. But if James had not lived you would not have built it either. Instead you may have built a toaster, or a building, or a road, or even a wonderful ship but you would not have built *that* boat. My problem is not with the boat that was built or who built it - I am sure it is a good or even a great boat.. My problem is your "verses" nonsense.
@@joelvoss1226 ...Really?...like...seriously...! The fundamental difference is James draws plans, I build boats, many boats. I build boats since I was 7. I build them better, stronger and faster than what I see on the plans. I modified most of it, like Diesel-hydraulic drives, built in fuel tanks that provide a range of 1000 plus Nautical miles. sheer line, bulkhead dimensions, layout of interior, hull shape to accommodate the extra weight, less draft, wider keel sections, rudder shape, deck cabin(s), sail plan, mast construction and shape, (my masts don`t wobble), sheeting and halyard arrangements, electric and plumbing installations, sturdy stern ramp that works, Cockpit and deck boxes for engines are all re-designed to take the loads, beams are reinforced with Carbon fiber, ...etc. none of which I can find on his beautiful plans. If James or any other designer can not live with that improvements and don`t accept my input to make his designs more seaworthy, then it is called Versus. Just remember for your future comments, we are Sea people...are you?
@@seascapeasia7814 Yes, really and yes...seriously. I don't doubt you build with diesel-hydraulic drives or build with larger fuel tanks, add this and add that and use this material or that material. You could build them out of stainless steel or aluminium or carbon fiber and mount rockets on them...so what? You keep defending your boats, why? No one is criticizing them. You want to add the expense of those drives and carbon fiber and the weight of the fuel...knock yourself out. I'm sure some people want that. *But your improvements are not improvements to everybody.* I have sailed dinghys as a child, later a 26 foot monohull, a 35 foot catamaran and a 51 foot Wharram which was the most bare-bones boat (over 30 foot) ever. I would not want those diesel drives nor the huge fuel tanks nor the less draft (because I don't want to need a daggerboard to help point) nor the extra weight, etc, etc, etc. I had no problem with mast-wobbling and the stern ramp worked fine. Your build quality aside, you took James' design and made major mods per your post above and you know those big changes are not the direction he wanted to go so you can't blame him for not wanting to deal with you. No big deal, every boat is designed on compromises and no one can say either design is "the best" for every sailor in every sea and every sea state. Build the boats you and your clients want! I am not likely the sea person you are, so what? I have no need to remember that. You argue about things nobody is arguing with you about.
@@joelvoss1226 You sound exactly like Hanneke. You know, sometimes, Joel, you have to experience what you don`t want in life to gain a full understanding of what you do want.
Nice boat! Tiki 38 with elements of a narai!!
Wow! But what happened with warrham. !?? Seascape no longer has a build license! My dream boat is tha narai iv but that would do!!

@Gunther Nutt thx I did ..as Janos
I look this video many times. Boote go very fast.
The skill of the crew shows the performance possible.
One of the best tikis ive seen. Im sure its been fun.
It`s been fun like every boat we build. The memories will last...for ever.
Why is it to sell for cheap?
Maybe sinking?
There is no washing machine and hair dryer on board. She`s got to go.
Nice Cat
She is a lot more than nice.
What a lovely ship! I am wondering about the price of such a piece of art....
If you ask, you will get an answer, don`t have to wonder.
Well done does the ship builder yard there build these Wharram or is this just a DIY one off for personel use .Lovely well made example of the larger types Wharram ball park how much to make this size example
There is a base price for every boat. The final cost depends on the level of fit out.
Beautiful
Thought I was going to hear about a unique boat, but all I heard was a wannabe music video, useless.
Charles Cain I agree. The music is way too emotional.
What a fantastic wharram. I hope she finds a worthy owner!
She did.
From what I gathered on the net, Wharrem boats are a dying breed. No one seems to build them anymore...☹
You know nothing about this subject. Just focus on where you put your next step.
Everyone looks so relaxed and smiling. You people seem to know what you are doing. I'm intrigued.
And , they`re making Coffee below.
There seems to be a infestation of a negative Troll pestilence lately. Come heeere Trolls, "I suck you up and blow you out as bubbles.."
Was ist das denn für eine unterirdische Antwort auf den Post !!
@@gamingwithtoennel227 Das kann man wohl laut sagen. Bin auch ueberrascht.
Vermutlich English Humor.
Really good video, loved both boats. Did you build them in Thailand?
In Phuket. The Company is temporarily closed as we are relocating and building a new facility.
What a fantastic oceangoing sailing vessel, congrats to the builder and new owners...!!
Finally, she is in loving, tender caring good hands.
I wish you could show the inside of the boats you make
You can visit seascape`s web site for more pictures

Beautiful boat
Wonder Full
Full of Wonder.
look like is for sale. on yacht world.com
She sold some time ago. The new owner seems as Happy as a Eagle flying at 12`000 feet.
job2do! man i gotta get back to thailand
how do this kind of boats perform in big waves and real wind? In protected waters they sure look confortabol.
They perform magnificently in high seas also known as "Open waters" In some occasions this boats sure outperform some of the crew..ha..ha..LOL
Thank you.
Wow! Fantastic looking boat. Anyone know what design this is.. Greetings from Italy
It was designed by James Wharram. Seascape modified the lines and most of the rest to make it the perfect ship..
@@seascapeasia1382 What lines ? Hull lines?
@@seascapeasia1382 - Could you expound on this a bit? I've been looking at Wharram catamarans for years, and I really enjoy most of the design, but there are a few things I'd change myself. What did you do to "improve" the design? Are the improvements aesthetic or performance related?
Well done Gunther! Another beautiful boat. I hope to meet her on the water someday. Also hope to sail back your way someday too :)
That would be lovely.
Congratulations Gunther. 51 boats!!! amazing acheivement. The new baby looks beautiful!
Thank you. The new baby sails well too. The new owner is very happy.
I have been able to follow the construction and see how precise and high-quality the work is - a masterpiece. Congratulations.
Thank you. It was worth the effort.
Gunther is living proof that one does not have to be remotely handsome to build the very finest and most beautiful boats.
